Amazing rendition! I was 18 year let it be was released which was... holy crap! 1968. Ample sound makes the most awesome Vsti's that there are.
And you don't have to keep updating your Kontakt platform for new libraries. All qualit VSTI manufacturers should go with this philosophy.

Finally! I was looking forward to another guitar release from AmpleSound. I wanted this or a Fender Jaguar VST so I'm really glad they released this great instrument.
When I saw the thumbnail to this video, I thought my dreams had come true. I actually messaged Ample Sound a few months ago asking them to create a library of the Rickenbacker 360/12, the 12 string. When I realized that this was only the 330, the 6 string, I thought then maybe they would include a few patches emulating the sound a 12 string artificially, kind of like the Musiclab RealRick (which I hate). Well, that seems to not be the case. Guess I'll just have to do it myself artificially by duplicating an instance for the lower four courses (octave strings), and then another one for the upper two courses (unison strings), and sample them into a makeshift Kontakt library. In that case, I guess I can also experiment with that with other guitar sample libraries. It'll be interesting to see how it works out.

I guess they would have had more work to do, but it would have been great. I have their acoustic 12 string and it works well - and I can't imagine they don't realize how many fans of it exist. But 12-strings have a more eclectic use I suppose. Releasing the 6 string first makes sense since it covers a lot of Beatles, Who, Stones stuff, not to mention U2... It may or may not be a strategy. More people would buy the 6-string first, and also then get the 12-string when it is released 2nd, than would do the reverse, hence from a marketing perspective a business adviser would condone their move.
I always get get a tad excited when Amplesound releases a new instrument...it would be nice to update all the other guitars with the new articulation. This is another quality product from Amplesound
Hey Reuben, Not wishing to be pedantic, but The Beatles never used Rickenbacker 330 six string instruments. Lennon did use 325s in the early days. He had a 325 / 12 which he rarely used. And for a short period in the mid 1960s, he also had a Rose Morris 1996 (a model manufactured by Rickenbacker specifically for distribution by Rose Morris in the United Kingdom). George Harrison, of course, had his famous #2 Rickenbacker 360 /12. George also owned a 425 six string. Neither Lennon or Harrison ever played a 330 six string though. Pete Townshend was a 360 man. Brian Jones was also a 360 man but he predominantly played 12 string RICs. I have seen a photo of Keith Richards playing a 360 six string. But again, neither Brian or Keith have ever been sighted using a 330. And in pretty much every case, all these players used Rickenbackers with low output Toaster pickups rather than the High Gain pickups. Saying all that, having owned a RIC 330 six string with the high gain pickups for many years, the AGRB does sound close to the real thing. Now we need Ample to produce the Holy Grail ... a Rickenbacker 360/12 with toasters. Thanks for the great video. Cheers from the Land Down Under.

THey're definitely getting better with this stuff .. for single note leads and that sort of thing it's pretty convincing. The other stuff still kinda sounds like a harpsichord to me. They're making some strides though. 🤘🏻

I am a drummer/keyboard player. I want to get started with Ample GTRs. I love the sound of the Rick. Not sure if the Rick is the best one for beginning my journey. I am also looking at the Ample Guitar SC. I'd appreciate any and all advice and comments. Thanks in advance!

Hi Ruben I have just installed this and it's great but with previous Ample guitars you could edit Riffer while it was playing but now you have to stop it before you can edit anything such as note positions on the strings etc. It was the same when Ample Vintage Cherry had a software update. Do you know if there is an option to change this? Thanks
At around 16:38 you play the I Can Not Explain riff on riffer, then do a bit on keyboard. The keyboard sound is much brighter, which in this instance is not what I would want (all the notes very bright, even though you are probably not playing with a very hard impact), despite you being on the same preset. I can't tell if you're playing with a much higher velocity, and I am wondering if that's why the sound is tinny. Is it the case? Does Amplesound have a graph to customize the plugin's interpretation of velocity BTW?

Which is the best Ample Electric VST to sit in a mix with light overdrive? Mostly light chugging rhythms.
I play guitar, but use MIDI for demoing tracks or on the road.

10:41 - Does that chord sound out of tune? I find this happens a lot with Ample Sound electrics when strumming, like you can't use more than 2 strings or else the chords just sound like you haven't tuned your guitar properly. I understand that a string goes sharp when plucked, but real guitars, and even other libraries from other companies don't suffer from this effect as much as Ample Sounds libraries seem to. It really makes chords hard to use.
In this particular case it's probably cause he was using a quite high fretting position. Even with real guitar the sound gets a little wonky on those higher frets in my experience (I'm not really a guitarist though). Also, you might want to try the 2nd highest velocity layer instead of the highest because picking hard will detune the strings more.
I haven't noticed any particular tuning issues with Ample or other guitar libraries generally speaking.
