I have been using the platform for a few weeks and I thought it was complicated at first but not so much now. I still see plenty of small local businesses that could benefit from many of GHL benefits. It's all in how you in how you position yourself as a business. You have to understand the mentality and skillset that the average small business owner has. They typically have neither tech or marketing skills so if you present yourself as a SAS business, that's not going to work. And yes you better have sales and marketing skills otherwise you won't do well - just like any business.

Is good as SAAS mode, I have 78 clients but it has a hard learning curve is not for starters you need to have a true offer, understand about mrketing and know how to use the tool in the proper way.
@@sethjaredthey are not really marketing to businesses, they are marketing to affiliates and agency owners. Affiliates on average don't know how to run a business with an offer and agencies are doing the tech work for the business which is too expensive for the very people that the product was probably designed to help in the first place.
Hi, I basically have the same opinion as you regarding the uselessness of such a product for a beginner, even for the €97 offer. On the other hand, I have just simulated a registration and I have the possibility of choosing one of the 3 levels, once the one-month trial has passed (97 €, 297 € or 497 €). So I'm surprised by what you say (11'49). In any case, this is how the offer is sold in France... 😊
"Untrained, unethical marketers who are desperate for cash and clients ruin everything." Facebook, Google, are now taking notice and making it a priority to purge them from their platforms so as to protect their users and their business. And the IRS is gunning for them too because these same people are also using Schedule Cs as money grabs which is setting off red flags and creating noticeable trends. The rest of us doing things properly are paying the price on ad spend and deeper scrutiny.
I get the review but where’s the alternative? to downplay one thing and not give a valid options for another is very disheartening. My initial experience with GHL definitely took me 6+ months to actually learn but once I did, found it very valuable. It’s not the best but what are the alternatives if we’re comparing apples to apples?
Thanks for the comment. The point of the video wasn't to provide alternatives specifically, it was to make people aware of the misleading tactics behind the way this one is being promoted. By distinguishing these tactics you can then look for more legit, less hyped up options. The biggest problem is this: you've got a mediocre platform with a 6 month learning curve, as you said, and then people hyping it up combining the platform with training on starting agencies, sales, etc. It's all mixed up. So when you ask about an "alternative" do you mean other ways to learn how to legitimately get clients and build an agency or an alternative platform? In the video I mentioned Kartra, Clickfunnels, Kajabi, Builderall.... there are plenty of much better funnel building options that don't take 6 months to learn. I've been running a program since 2016 that has helped 1000s of people learn SEO and PPC and get jobs, but I didn't want to pivot to that in this video particular video or pivot to another program. When people take my course they learn the actual skills that can help a small business and I tell them to get ONE CLIENT AT A TIME as mentioned in the video, and then as they get real experience their confidence builds as well as their ability to deliver results, and then they can expand and scale. I am curious, if you feel like sharing: when you say it took you 6 months and it was valuable, can you be more specific? Were you paying for the Saas option, were you getting training from someone or figuring it out on your own?
I'm in the same boat here. It took me about 4 months to learn and I use the $97 plan. What platforms allows you to integrate the Google Biz listing, funnels, chat widget, sms texting, CRM (on the agency side), and automations? @sethjared I researched for a long time and couldn't find a platform that brought it all together.
Hooray! 🙌Someone spitting truth about GHL. I have been in the Hospitality marketing game for many many years & I have GHL & its quite a sh*tshow, its clunky & complicated to use even for someone of my experience. That is the last thing a small or medium size business needs, another fricken complicated CRM. You are so on the money. Kudos.
But the platform has a lot of features that are useful and cost less vs buying a bunch of other platforms to do the same thing. Go high level doesn’t need to advertise with ads. It’s obvious cheaper to pay others to guarantee a lead or customer. Kind a like network marketing. Yeah, I agree, it’s a lot of hype. Also, cost is a bit high for the premium membership level.
It definitely does have a lot of features, and if they marketed it as a $97 a base platform like Kajabi/Kartra/Builderall etc. with the potential to upgrade for more advanced features it would be fine. But as you mentioned, it's the hype and misleading info around it. Also my experience is that by trying to do EVERYTHING they aren't very good at anything. I worked on setting up a basic funnel - I found the templates to be clunky (based on the Elementor plugin for some reason, which is great as a free plugin for Wordpress but not great to make polished websites). The process of integrating the opt in form to the web page was not clear. (Doable of course, but I'm talking about being user friendly). Also even Clickfunnels allows you an out of the box domain on their server so you can literally launch a squeeze page in a few clicks, but GHL requires you add a custom domain which is a technical process for most newbies. There are a ton more things like that - I'd recommend Kartra, Kajabi, Builderall, even Clickfunnels over this. Basically the fact that they instantly sell people on a $1000 uprade to get help setting up the platform shows me it's not user friendly. Also if you want to hear a story of an agency owner who regreted migrated thousands of his clients to GHL check out this article: millo.co/gohighlevel-review
@sethjared Been on each of those except builderall. And they are all more expensive and do less. Bitrix24 is the only thing comparable for the price I've seen. Both have pluses and minuses. Maybe kartra or kajabi have improved since though 🤔
I'd revisit them. Again, I don't care about all of GHL's bells and whistles. Most newbies don't have any use for the CRM features or Saas. The foundation of all these platforms is the ability to build good looking websites and funnels - Kartra's look much better and are much easier to setup. I've been using Kartra since 2019 FYI. One thing I'll say - Kartra doesn't have any support upsells or the need to spend hours and hours learning their platform. There are some tutorials and most people are up and running in a couple days. Definitely not a $300 a month priority support upgrade or selling newcomers on $1000 to setup the platform right after they buy. Either way, I'd be down for a robust debate about Kajabi vs Kartra vs GHL purely as a platform - but the GHL affiliates hype it up so much, the conversation gets totally distorted.
@@sethjaredI moved from CF to Kartra when Frank Kern was initially part of it. It was kicking Russell Bs @ss and easier to use. I stopped because some of my courses mysteriously disappeared and they did not have backups set up to recover anything. Also I hadn't really advertised my course because I was converting my existing clients first, but somehow HUNDREDS of accounts from Russian IPs landed in my CRM and they could not explain how they got there or guarantee that it would not happen again. Deal-breakers. Infrastructure maintenance and Security are big issues that ought be solved before taking your SaaS to market. Maybe they needed to spend more time in beta and invest in better tech talent.
@@sethjared That specific content creator is the one marketing it as a 500$ product, not GHL. Also, if the tools looks hard for you to handle, that kinda looks like a skill issue because it is nothing out of the ordinary. Try checking everything that Clickup or Hubstaff have to offer, and they are both great, but they take time to learn, as with everything else. Why do you think people hire other people that are experts on GHL, Wordpress, Trello, Clickup, Hubstaff, etc, etc ,etc...
lol, the affiliates only make money if the people signing up actually sign on clients. Otherwise, they will all leave during the free trial and affiliate is getting ZERO.
True, but these guys are all very good salesmen, and once a newbie is "on the hook" i.e. has drank the kool aid, gone down the rabbit hole and been hyped up on the opportunity, then they are going to stay usually going to stay in and the affiliate can grab a few hundred or thousand dollars from them before they realize that the promises were overhyped. I've seen many courses that do the same thing - the sales video or offer letter says things like "Make $10K/Month Fast" and then once inside it's like "okay this is a serious business, it takes time." In fact the longer the affiliate can keep the newcomer in their training program/membership area the more money they make. Newbies see the success of the affiliate, who often has years of experience like Jason Wardrop, and then when they don't have the same results they think they are doing something wrong rather than realizing the opportunity/expectations and setup do not have integrity. @19kickboxer68 said it very well in his comment about the real difficulty to make money with GHL. My main issue is that this messenging isn't on the front end. It's tricky, it's like credit cards that offer 0% APR then go back to 20% APR after a few months. Totally legal, people don't have to carry a balance, but it's tricky. With UA-cam they are reaching tons of people and so all they need to do is find the next round of wide eyed newcomers to stay in GHL for a few months before they realize they were burned then move on to the next group.
@@sethjaredthis is the truth, and the problem. These affiliates need a better business model. Spend less time finding unskilled affiliates and more time demonstrating to real businesses (not agencies) how their SaaS product can make their life easier and their business grow. GHL doesn't want to do the heavy lifting, probably because they are techies and not marketers.
Keaton is one of the worst of these. He made a video called "How I Made $1.5 Million with Go High Level"... but he already HAD an existing agency with many clients. As I say in the video, if you are an existing marketer or agency owner, you may find value from GHL, and some of their tools/methodologies could help you optimize or increase client retention (though their strategies for doing this aren't necessarily something all agency owners should do). That's not the same as the newcomers who are being misled into thinking it's that easy to make that kind of money. Also it's questionable if you really want to be the CRM for your clients as an agency owner. I'm going to interview a 7 an actual figure agency owner friend who talked to me about how the strategies behind GHL's "we do it all" approach to client management is not ideal. Regardless, my video is not made for existing agency owners who are experienced enough to weigh the pros and cons, it's for all the newcomers who see Keaton's success and don't understand the work he put in before he even got GHL to be able to to do that. I made this video to provide an alternate POV on this - because nearly every single video about GHL on UA-cam is made by an affiliate.
most businesses can't afford nor see the value in hiring someone to maintain CRM. I do so for one client and it's initially a high touch, hands on work, even with technology and a system in place. It takes time for a new client to see the results of what they are paying you for because it's mostly behind the scenes stuff that they never knew they needed to do, because they are too busy doing to service and not maintaining/retaining clients. My client is a service provider with 500+ clients clients that he services 1 time a year. He didn't know he had that many clients until I told him and he didn't know his yearly churn rate or growth rate. He didn't know how to talk to all of them at one time or groups of them at the same time. He didn't even understand that it's essential to do so. So not only is he getting CRM set up and maintenence but he's getting passive coaching/consulting from me which helps me show my expertise and maintain his trust and account. I'm over-delivering for what he's paying for because these services are not as easy to sell as people make it out to be. And he was a warm market client. Imagine trying to sell CRM mgmt as a service or a CRM platform as as SaaS to a cold market. It's an invisible pain point for most businesses. No one should tell a newbie or a potential GHL user to start by selling this service.

@@sethjared I agree Keaton is sneaky lol
Been waiting for a video like this lol finally 🗣️

I'm really more interested in how your teeth got so white. You should be an affiliate for a teeth whitening product.
I wondered that myself haha. I think it's the lighting.
