- Cystic Duct (Ductus Cysticus)
- Bile Duct (Ductus Choledoctus) 7cm long
- Pancreatic Duct (ductus pancreaticus)
- Hepatopancreatic Ampulla (ampulla hepatopancreatica)
- Major Duodenal papilla (papilla duodeni major)
- Hepatopancreatic Sphincter (sphincter ampullae hepatopancreatica) aka Sphincter of Oddi
Gall Bladder:
- Fossa for the gall bladder (fossa vesicae biliaris)
- Fundus of Gallbladder (fundus vesicae bilaris)
- Body of Gallbladder (Corpus Vesicae Bilaris)
- Neck of gallbaldder (Collum vesicae bilaris)
Wall of Gall Bladder:
- Tunica Mucosa
○ Mucosal Folds of Gallbladder (Plicae Tunicae Mucosa Vesicae Biliaris)
○ Spiral Folds (Plica Spiralis)
○ Mucosal Glands (Glandulae mucosae)
- Tunica Muscularis
○ Circular Muscle Fibers (Stratum Circulare)
- Tunica Adventitia
- Tunica Serosa (Hepatoduodenal Ligament)
Pancreas:
- 14-18 cm long, 2-3 cm wide, 60-100 gram
- Function of the pancreas:
○ Exocrine Function Pancreatic Juice (Succus Pancreaticus) has digestive enzymes and bicarbonate
○ Endocrine Function: Release important hormones directly into the bloodstream, e.g., Insulin and glucagon
- Head of Pancreas (caput pancreatis)
- Body of Pancreas (corpus pancreatis)
- Tail of the Pancreas (cauda pancreatis)
- Topography of the Pancreas:
○ Skeletopy: L1-L2
○ Holotopy: Epigastric Region, Left hypochondriac region
- Main Pancreatic Duct (Ductus Pancreaticus)
- Accessory Pancreatic Duct (Ductus Pancreaticus Accessorius)

The human body is amazing. Just the function of sphincter at the point of the duodenum is enough for me to think that none of this could have come from nothing. There is indeed a designer/creator that must exist beyond and outside the rules of the universe.
your explination of emuslification is great and i have never see anyone explian it as the way you did!! thank you so much

Thank you for this outstanding video! Very clear to understand, both verbally and visually. Have you any thoughts on whether supplemental bile salts might help to dissolve gallstones, if taken over a long enough period of time?
I am a layman, an Engineer in fact and I understood. Easily comprehensible...
i needed more informations for pancreas
if anyone teaches in such a class , related physiology and biochemistry becomes easier .

how does the canaliculi fit into the bile pathway?
What is cystic fibrosis?
Which software used you to make this video? By the way thanks for the great work.
This is a powerpoint presentation. Used Camtasia to record and edit :)

I still dont understand how bile is deposited into the gallbladder, since the cystic duct is arqued upwards
