I suggest remove all beam first and build another one but you need a lot of wood to support the load of a slab.

Obviously he's a tradie... having no idea what happens with forces in steel reinforcements... this work is not Structural but plain cosmetic... the beam can collapse anytime...

Mmmm at 1:41 i can see that your new beam is separated from the existing one, that is a fault point and it'll likely crack again along that area

Sorry, but thats not doing anything to strengthen the beam.
I simply adds the support of the ( mortar ) used for the patch.
