As always, a great video. Indeed, Al MacInnis was stuff of mythical legend in ice hockey with his canon shots. Loved to hear again the goalies comments of how they near feared him firing his shots, as that was not just a few but near all goalies back then. Roy, Brodeur, Kelly, Turek, Fuhr, Soderstrom etc openly expressed concearns when facing his team. For me, he will always be THE greatest hard shooter in NHL history no matter what else is brought forward and that is a good list of candidates to challange.
Yeah, what a nightmare it must've been to face that shot. Imagine having to do it with the padding in that era. I made a glove save against a beer league slap shot with modern goalie gear a few years back, and my hand was bruised. Can't imagine 100 MPH.
Hey man, I’m so glad I found your channel! I just finished watching your Paul Kariya video and it was very good.. entertaining and informing, keep doing what your doing! :D
The other defenseman that could make average defenseman seem great was Niklas Lidstrom and this is coming from a Blues fan who was tormented by the Red Wings as a young Blues fan growing up. But Lidstrom was really that good and just effortlessly great at doing everything on the ice.
@KetaProductions thank you for making this video there is not much about him on UA-cam. His story is amazing thank you for telling it for everyone to enjoy.
No problem! I remember as a kid playing street hockey, I would try to mimic his slapshot. That sound, that velocity, that venom.. mine were nowhere near that haha, but it's great I get a chance to preserve that memory with this video.
Hey, hey, hey.......claiming Al MacInnis had hardest shot in sport has never seen? Come on.... Al Iafrate had the hardest shot of sport! And after him it is Chara. BUT I will ofcourse respect deeply Al MacInnis's fierce shot which was one one of most effective. My cheers to him.
I've watched almost every video you put out. I was pleasantly surprised with this one. Can I help this channel grow by just helping create content? I'll do it for free.
Thanks for the offer 👍 I'm not looking to collab at this moment. Still a small challenge that I work on whenever I can. What type of content did you have in mind anyway?
The hype is real for this one
If you build it, they will come 💪
He was always practicing in the summertime, when I used to hang out in Port Hood, nice family, great community. Back in 76-77
When the guy in the front office shoots it harder than anyone on the team…
I wonder how his shot is now. That's reality tv I'd pay to watch!
Remember him in the NHL games in 90s, always funny to break the plexiglas with his shots :D

Oh you caught me! "Hardest shot" just sounded better haha
His name is not Ma Cinnis. It's MAC Innis. It's also not Ma Cdonald it,s Mac Donald or Mc Donald. It sounds stupid when you say it that way.
Wicked shot

@@KetaProductions Kovalev is priority! But I also think Zetterberg, Malkin, and my absolute favourite, Reggie Leach.
Reggie Leach is a personal priority. He gave back as much as he could!!!
