Thanks for the review. Wasn’t looking for a lens, just browsing. But my credit card is scared again… You make some wholesome Leica videos, like it a lot, keep the great work coming 👍🏽
Great review my friend. It’s refreshing to see a lens for our Leica M that is not a gazillion $ and that offers unique character. As you said, might as well us it as a “lens cap” and always be Radian6 to take a shot. Cheers!
Nice review, thank you. I also have the 7 Artisans 35mm f/5.6 lens and find your experience with it about the same as mine. It's a great snap shot lens. Another similar lens that is even smaller than the 7 Artisans 35/5.6 that you might want to check out is the Funleader 18mm fixed f/8 aperture in Leica M mount. It is extremely well made, simply tiny, and at least as good, although obviously wider, as the 7 Artisans lens. I find it to be a tad sharper than the 7 Artisans lens, but I suspect that may vary with either lens based on the price, there is bound to be some variation in image quality from lens to lens of the same type. The Funleader 18/8 is about US $150. I find using either lens on my crop sensor Ricoh GXR-M mount camera really cleans up the image of either lens.
Thanks for watching! As far as I know, the 35 APO Summicron and this lens are the only two 35mm lenses that can focus this close on the M mount. The 90 Macro is also an amazing lens for food and products.
@@terrywbreedlove Of course there’s much more to this lens besides flare resistance. My zeiss distagon produces more fringing than this one does. It’s all relative and dollar for dollar, this is a pretty easy sale for what it is.

Thanks for the support! At least this lens isn't too too hard on your wallet haha
Was incredibly surprised by how good that lens was in the center
Same! Surprisingly versatile little thing
Haha, I can't believe you actually pulled a can of maple syrup for that dad joke. Great video as always mate!
Thanks good sir. Gotta represent with the syrup!
I would probably go for the TTArtisan 28mm f5.6, which looks great over this one, although I do love pancakes! Great review and your pics look super!
Can’t comment on the optical performance since I haven’t tried one yet. But the 28 seems like a worthy opponent. Thanks for watching!

Thanks man, yeah it’s a unique experience for sure, especially given it’s down to earth price

Great review! Question, if I just wanna shoot food would this lens work? Or u got other recommendations for my M10-P?

Great video my friend ! Little lens with some character to it. For the price, not bad. Cheers mate :)
does this fit on M3? do you need adapter?
Fits the M3, no adapter needed
Pancakes. Yum.
Honest question why put such a poor performing lens on a Leica ?
Not everyone can afford a Leica lens or some people like to try new things. Also, who said anything about poor performance?
@@GenericPhotographer Dude WTH you do 6:28

That's one fugly lens
Seems to be a polarizing lens haha
