ok you Quizzlestick fans. It's me - contestant called Michael. Had been on a few real quizzes when I saw an ad in The Stage paper. I applied. I got on. I looked at the quizmaster who had appeared out of nowhere thinking 'I know that guy' . We weren't actors and poor Peter next to me really was 100% confuddled and thinking he was on a real quiz. I was about 80% hence the occasional smirks. Good fun though. Watched Adam and Joe's earlier series. so cannot believe i didn't twig who it was.
how could he forget to play his Green Quizle Chance, What a dope, he must be kicking himself now, haha! Good video, now to check out this Mitchell and Webs "Numberwang thing.....
Spot on. The fam has just tried to explain how The Chaser works. Still dont get it. Complex rules reminded me of Quizzlesticks and I had to search for show and found this. Thanks Adam!
This was just a single sketch they made for one episode, and wasn't even meant to be an idea stretched across an entire series. You can't compare the two, they're completely different despite similar appearance.
The green Quizzlechance isn't always the best choice. In this case, he would have lost his Quizzlemark option in the bonus round and -- oh, what the hell am I talking about?
This is comedy gold. It is an outrage that 4 series of Adam and Joe was compressed into a 'best of' when the like of little britain's catchphrase comedy can spew out 3 fucking series.
Is this official Adam & Joe material being posted? It certainly looks like it from the closing credits. I'd rank Quizzlestick up there with Numberwang. In fact Quizzlestick is probably better as there are more crazy rules no one will ever understand with it. Before anyone else jumps in before me, I must say I must say 17 minus 2.4 and a half (as that is Numberwang).
Series Writing credits Jesse Armstrong (30 episodes, 2003-2008) Sam Bain (30 episodes, 2003-2008) David Mitchell (30 episodes, 2003-2008) Andrew O'Connor (30 episodes, 2003-2008) Robert Webb (30 episodes, 2003-2008) They do write their own stuff.. and I don't see why you can't like both of them.. all four of them. gg
The joke revolves around that the aim of the game doesn't make sense and is totaly random. That's where the similarities are. "Robot Chicken" = Adam and Joe too.
numberwang is crap compared to this because no thought went into it, people just shout out numbers. love the sound of the dog being machinegunned too, hah
Numberwang is completely different though. The joke of that was that it has no understandable rules, the joke with this is that it has too many. They're both funny in different ways.

I always thought you knew, but Peter does look like he is being too serious
Hi Michael. I've always wondered why didn't you play your green quizzlechance?
@@paddyeejit1954 Well, it is much harder than it looks at home.
I'll never understand why Michael didn't play his green quizzlechance. Absolute madness.
When will Adam and Joe get the credit they deserve for doing this long before Mitchel And Webb thought of 'Numberwang'?
4 legends of UK comedy.

@@Butterratbee the difference is Adam and Joe were actually funny.
This was made in 2001, pre-dating numberwang by at least 5 years (except when it's not a general knowledge question)
But at least 30 years after Mornington Crescent.
Possibly the best thing about this is that the rules are so ludicrously complicated but the questions are ridiculously easy
I love the way the quiz host quickly jumps to "Good luck to you all" at 00:45 shortly after explaining some incomprehensible game rules.
Possibly my favourite Adam and Joe sketch. Almost died with laughter when I saw this one.
After all these years, this has remained criminally underrated. ...And that noise at 1:57 almost made me choke to death laughing.
Ahaa I know I love it when all the discs fall off
End of quiz sound - dog getting machine gunned. HAHAH!
"It's harder than it looks at home!"
That was a good line!
I love this one so much. Any other sketch show would have done it every week but as a one off it was amazing!
"Can i ask you, why didn't you play your green quizzle chance?!" LOL
overflowing with love for this vid. Geniusness.
The main difference between this and numberwang is that this is funny.
"and that sound means its the quizzlestick secret swap around question" - f**king genius! Watched this at least 15 times now - no less funny each time
Even though the rules are ridiculously over complicated I wonder if they do actually make sense.
Pisses all over Numberwang.
ANyone remember the "Anecdote" quiz show Adam and Joe did as well?
Oh man that is BRILLIANT! Can't stop laughing! Love the bit when the points swap around - wtf?!
why can't we all just get along. We all love Adam and Joe that's all that matters!
hahaha, the look on that guys face...'i've no idea what just happened'. brilliant!
Absolutely amazingly brilliant. I cried with laughter when I saw t this! CAdam Buxtons BUG is a great watch too!
Those Quizzlestick graphics are hilarious!
Red things - Correct lol
"aha, you could have won, it's a great shame."
genius. the other gameshow piss-take they did, 200% is awesome as well. they were class acts. BRING BACK ADAM AND JOE!!
so clear to follow. The contestant in the white looks genuinely confused at the end. Very funny clip. Thanx.
hahaha never fails to make me laugh - so straight forward
hahaha i remember seeing this on TV. This is my favourite adam and joe sketch
hahahah "except when it's a general knowledge question"
"see you tomorrow" lol -imagine if it was on every day, in all the nursing homes, confusing everyone further!
Maybe when you reach a certain age all TV just looks like this anyway
This made my head hurt, but I love it.
Shows been down the shitter ever since they banned black stick plays. Don't know why you'd even watch anymore.
"Tied"
Quizzlestick is a different idea to Numberwang. Quizzlestick has a berjillion rules, where as Numberwang has none at all. I think its ok to like both.
i am in total awe.
Miles better than Numberwang
Haha yeh! Tbf I do love numberwang as well. Even just for the name!
This beats Numberwang by several years!
totally agree again, best comedy sketch ever
Still better than half the quiz shows on daytime TV.
Ok, that was truly the most confusing quiz game erver known to man...Joe Cornish is a genius!
He likes a pasty
Love it, think this is funnier than numberwang just due to the fact these contestants are real people and have no idea wtf is going on.
Haha I love this video, brings back memories!
how could he forget to play his Green Quizle Chance, What a dope, he must be kicking himself now, haha!
Good video, now to check out this Mitchell and Webs "Numberwang thing.....
too right. and we havent even got proper dvds of all the A&J series' in their entirety. for shame
Spot on. The fam has just tried to explain how The Chaser works. Still dont get it. Complex rules reminded me of Quizzlesticks and I had to search for show and found this. Thanks Adam!
I hate that Numberwang gets more attention than this.
Quizzlestick was a lot funnier.
i love the moment at 0:57
That was amazing!
what a ditz, Micheal should have chosen to swap and play off his blue quizzel blocks
"you could have won" lol
lol if its much harder than it looks at home everyone is doomed lol
hehe i love this, so silly :0p
I'm impressed that you managed to switch your computer on. Well done.
my head hurts.lol
let's just put this all behind us.
This was just a single sketch they made for one episode, and wasn't even meant to be an idea stretched across an entire series. You can't compare the two, they're completely different despite similar appearance.
This is so confusing, this is awesome - but only if it's not a general knowledge question.
This is where Jasper Carrot got the idea for Goldenballs!
You’ve been bamboozled!
The Wheel has not been my friend tonight, Joey.
That's Numberwang! Rotate the board!
Quizzlestick must be the UK version of Bamboozled.
The green Quizzlechance isn't always the best choice. In this case, he would have lost his Quizzlemark option in the bonus round and -- oh, what the hell am I talking about?
*head explodes*
better than numberwang, i dont know if joe did this in one take but the fella dont stop talkin!! its a comedy masterpiece
Classic
I've always wondered, why didn't you play your green quizzle chance?
Damn, why didn't he play the 'Beat the buzzer bonus booster'!
I reckon i've got the hang of the Quizzlestick rules- where can i sign up to appear on the show?
yep - I'm Michael. A slighter heavier and greyer version these days.
Andy Warhol was wrong by 12minutes and 28 seconds. :)
I think he was doing the ironing
soo soo soo funny!
Mitchel and webb thought they could rip this off without anyone noticing
Just coming!
@46Frogfrog also, why in God's name didn't you play your green quizzle chance?
MUCH harder than it looks at home.
Lol very funny
It makes you long for the days of simple, uncomplicated games -- like Fizzbin.
So was there a whole episode made of this or just this one round?
numberwang my arse! this is pure genius! long live saint and greavesy
Agree 100%

I agree in a pontrpitonian sense, but, due to the fact that my antispections have been unqualifitied, I would have to disqualify my own point.
coming!
The original Numberwang.
Simple, really.
i wouldnt say the contestants are having the 'piss taken out of them', its more of a gameshow pisstake, and gameshows need contestants!
*lost intelligence* durrrrrrrrr
Is it true that Goldenballs is based on this !?
ahaha thats gotta be the most confusing game show ive ever seen
Numberwang is completely different though. The joke of that was that it has no understandable rules, the joke with this is that it has too many. They're both funny in different ways.
did I see those quizzlesticks get swapped around twice? @_@
Waaaaaayyyyy before Numberwag! :)
Steal your opponent's green blocks or sell your blue blocks for Quizzlestick Special Questions - which would you choose?
@DJEdSaunders ahh 2001, that's numberwang!
