Hi Andrew, Finally picked up our FishPro Sport. I already have a Garmin sounder on my boat so have Active Captain and Garmin Express. I followed the video to download the free map, but the options that were available were invalid. It was only when I went to buy a map that I found the map for HXPC416S -North Island NZ, so I put that in the Garmin search bar and it worked. The reason I am contacting you is maybe an update for your video with a link to that map number, might help others that are having difficulty. Cheers Peter

Hi Joe, at a long shot, phone Garmin support to discuss the Token code scenario. They maybe able to redeem it if they can see online where the process hasn’t uploaded to a card yet. It maybe sitting in a Garmin Express account against your email, they will give you the answers…
The majority of FISH PRO owners who have throughly followed the tips have achieved downloading the maps. If you still have trouble i recommend you calling your local Garmin Support helpline to help you step by step with completing the process and some checks they could do at their end for you.
Do you mean “access code” there is a map download code at the bottom right hand corner of the green paper card that should have come with your purchase…

The second thing the site does is it just consistently says my cart is empty. Idk if you've seen the site recently but it's all changed. Hi Andrew, I've picked up my 2022 FPS second hand and have to presume the original token has been used. Naturally it's the basic version showing on the plotter when I sync with my activecaptain account. Hi Simon, Congrats getting into a FISH PRO As I understand it, the Token if already used will be registered to your Garmin unit and the Micro SD card that the downloaded charts were added to and will be registered to the previous owners Garmin Express account at their own email address. The only option to get the detailed charts free of charge would be to see if the previous owner would pass it on to you, it won’t be any use to him without the registered Garmin sounder… Sorry I can’t be of further help finding you a cheap solution, all the best getting sorted.
I'm looking to buy the FishPro Trophy next year, my question to you is how often do you really use your "Swivel Seat" is it worth me paying the extra money just for the "Swivel Seat" I can care less about the live bait well I'm only interested in the "Swivel Seat" but for I noticed a lot of people on UA-cam that have the FishPro Trophy don't use the "Swivel Seat" at all so this is why I'm asking you???
For my type of fishing I am often offshore and fishing messy seas. I use the swivel seat occasionally if fishing flat water and longer drifts, it’s not something I use on every outing.

Great video. Set up in no time at all. Question. I noticed that you have the linq cargo rack on the other Seadoo along with your cooler. I have the same setup it. I cannot have my pedestal attached to my cooler like you have done. If I keep the pedestal on the cooler the linq cargo rack won’t fit. Is there something I need to do. Cheers.
Pleased to hear it helped you. Yes the fit for the riser doesn’t allow it to secure while on the cargo deck, I mentioned it to BRP engineering and am yet to get a response.

You only need the HXPC024R Chart if you are based in Aus or New Zealand… Do however make sure that once you have added the SD card in your Garmin that you go to the settings and turn on the extra detail (this will show much more barometric/contour lines)
Are there maps that won't accept the discount code? I just recently purchased a new fishpro trophy and get a message that the code is not valid. I emailed Garmin of the issue for a resolution, fingers crossed I hear something back.
You will need to select a middle of the lined priced chart for your region, the redemption code will not cancel out the value of the premium priced chart.

Is your watercraft located inside/in your garage when you have experienced it’s GPS location starting in America. To get a GPS reading of where you are located, the FISH PRO needs to be outdoors.

Yes you are correct, I have used both over the years and the FISH PRO does actually include the 72SV, sorry for the confusion. The difference between Garmin SV vs CV is that ClearVu is down imaging sonar designed to show a high level of detail in a narrow area under the watercraft, while SideVu is side imaging sonar designed to cover very large areas of water to either side of the watercraft.
I thought the Garmin on a Fish Pro did not include Side View because the Transducer is installed inside the hull? Now I'm really confused, are you sure it's the 72SV and maybe you were correct in stating 72CV?

Hi Robert, pleased it helped, you leave your SD Card in the Garmin Card Reader. It’s also a good practice to save regularly save your Marks and Tracks to the SD Card in case there is ever a problem with the Garmin unit.

@James Nguyen the 2020 Fish Pro does not include the Chart Token/Voucher, so you won’t be able to redeem. You will need to purchase a Chart Card, micro sd card from your local Garmin dealer to suit your fishing region.
Cheers for the vid, got my trophy yesterday and followed the steps and it worked seamlessly. Just one question about the unit, does it have the clear view option? At the moment mine only has the traditional sonar option. Is this because of the in-hull transducer? Thanks.

I to do not have the accessory mode which I will speak to my dealer as well but as well as that the garmin site not log in or log in does not have add to cart option so when they open today I guess I will be on the phone for quite some time to sort this. Garmin and See-Doo really need to work together better to make this process easier. Keep up the good work
Where are you located? If you are in NZ there is a link in the video in the top right corner to the Aus/NZ Chart when I’m viewing it in the video. This will allow you to have an add to cart option which is missing on the standard Garmin pages 👍
The SD Card definitely needs formatting in the Garmin. Once it formats it will create an Index that titles it so it can be recognised by Garmin Express when adding it to your laptop.

@@CandHHouse yes you definitely have to format the SD card in the Garmin unit first. As for the maps not displaying, make sure with Garmin help that the website is offering you the right charts for your region.
@@CandHHouse even with a brand new SD card it will require formatting in the Garmin so it can create an index for your computer to read a directory when completing the next process…
Hi, it should definitely have accessory mode. Some Trophys did not have the latest software update and needed a reflash to have that feature on the display. If you contact your local dealer they should be able to update it for you while you wait.
I tried today and take me around 3 hours, it's not that easy like you said. It's not working for navionix vision+tm just for g3 charts.. try to be more specific.
These video tips have helped many people, the Token voucher code is only a predetermined value set by BRP. It’s obviously not going to cancel out every listed region map globally to zero, Sea-Doo would have set a value for a reasonable grade chart for free.
G'day Andrew. Just bought a Garmin SD card with maps already installed, but sounder Echo map cv 62 , not reading the card. 2022 sounder and card is a bit newer , 2022 fishpro 170. Any ideas? Cheers
It should be reading unless you paid for the highest spec card that may not be compatible with the 62CV If you call Garmin phone support they should be able to help you through it
Thanx Andrew.... Mate you are an asset to Sea doo.... Was trying to get those maps downloaded using Garmin's U tube videos and the instructions manual.... Just a waste of time.... I used your step by step guide and got them installed pretty easily.... The only hick up was my gamin express was set up for my Garmin forerunner watch and it wasn't working.... Only when I went to reinstall it did it add the marine software... After that it was a breeze... Picked up my fishpro sport on Friday and been on the water and getting fishe gear sorted and maps.....very happy...Thanks again

Hi, I don’t know which map you are using the code against for your region, it’s best you call your local Garmin helpline to see if the voucher code is active and the map you are selecting is compatible.

Hello Andrew. I like a previous comment am having trouble loading my map into the new 62CV. I followed you video until you logged into the American Garmin site and clicked on ‘shop now’. This takes me to the American west coast options. You then switch to another screen that has a Google screen with a message on it. The screen then shifts to the Australian and NZ chart option with an ADD TO CART button. I have tried to follow you but now matter how I try I don’t get an ADD TO CART button on the Australian map options. Am I missing something. Tried going direct through the Garmin Australia site with the same result. This is driving me insane. Any help please.
Yes at that stage I discussed and used an already saved short cut to the charts I required. At 9 minutes 54 secs you will see a prompt in the top right hand corner that has the same link for Aus/NZ charts that will also have the add to cart option. It’s pretty embarrassing that Garmin don’t have their website functioning the way it should :-( I mentioned this to them at least two weeks ago that it isn’t working correctly.
Hello Andrew. Thank you for replying to my chart update issue. I totally agree with you on the download process. It’s not very good. I have emailed Garmin with my complaint like yourself. I live in Western Australia and have been in Facebook contact with a number of new FishPro owners and they have given up on trying both through the PC and Active Captain methods. Now the good news. I looked very closely at your PC screen and took note of the Garmin chart name for Australia and NZ. Did a search on that and back it came With an Add To Cart button. downloaded that file using my code and it all went well. One point, though, I looked for the chart for just the WA coast, which I found, but wouldn’t accept my code. Strange! Anyway. Big thank you for your help and love watching you Vids. PS. The reel covers you have on your rods, where do you get them please?

Oh that would be frustrating! As long as you aren’t missing anyone steps it should work, worst case scenario ring Garmin support to have your Garmin Express reset and talk through trouble shooting with them
Hi Andrew. Have had or still having troubles on my 62 CV. Have managed to register it but that s about all. I have been told I have the latest version 14.10 installed. The token didn't come in the instructions. Should I go back to the dealer? Could you make another video for my model because the 72 cv is not that similar? Also, could you slow down some of the shots as it was hard to see on screen. Overall a useful video.Thanks.
Hi Mark, follow the procedures from start to finish including the default reset. I would also recommend resetting your Garmin Express if you have attempted already using that. It won’t matter if you have a 62 or a 72 it’s only the touch screen that will make the procedure any different. UA-cam also has a function to slow down the playback speed, it will be much easier than me producing another video for such a similar functioning Garmin. Hopefully you get your Token number as pictured in the video. With familiarising yourself with the steps in watching the video and calling Garmin support you will get it sorted👍

If the chart you select is more expensive that the voucher value it won’t redeem the code.
Tried a couple different maps and it says the items in my cart are not eligible for the discount. I guess I’ll have to contact Garmin.

@James Nguyen the 2020 Fish Pro does not include the Chart Token/Voucher, so you won’t be able to redeem. You will need to purchase a Chart Card, micro sd card from your local Garmin dealer to suit your fishing region.
Cheers for the vid, got my trophy yesterday and followed the steps and it worked seamlessly. Just one question about the unit, does it have the clear view option? At the moment mine only has the traditional sonar option. Is this because of the in-hull transducer? Thanks.
Pleased to hear you found it helpful. Yes you are correct, the FISH PRO has in hull transducer (Garmin GT15) some features will not be available

I to do not have the accessory mode which I will speak to my dealer as well but as well as that the garmin site not log in or log in does not have add to cart option so when they open today I guess I will be on the phone for quite some time to sort this. Garmin and See-Doo really need to work together better to make this process easier. Keep up the good work
Where are you located? If you are in NZ there is a link in the video in the top right corner to the Aus/NZ Chart when I’m viewing it in the video. This will allow you to have an add to cart option which is missing on the standard Garmin pages 👍

Can you format the SD card without putting the card in the Garmin? Can I just use the laptop to format the card to the respective format?
The SD Card definitely needs formatting in the Garmin. Once it formats it will create an Index that titles it so it can be recognised by Garmin Express when adding it to your laptop.

@@CandHHouse yes you definitely have to format the SD card in the Garmin unit first.
As for the maps not displaying, make sure with Garmin help that the website is offering you the right charts for your region.
@@CandHHouse even with a brand new SD card it will require formatting in the Garmin so it can create an index for your computer to read a directory when completing the next process…

Hi, it should definitely have accessory mode. Some Trophys did not have the latest software update and needed a reflash to have that feature on the display. If you contact your local dealer they should be able to update it for you while you wait.

Any quality brand micro SD Card will suit, try Sandisk or Transcend 8GB to 32GB

I tried today and take me around 3 hours, it's not that easy like you said. It's not working for navionix vision+tm just for g3 charts.. try to be more specific.
These video tips have helped many people, the Token voucher code is only a predetermined value set by BRP. It’s obviously not going to cancel out every listed region map globally to zero, Sea-Doo would have set a value for a reasonable grade chart for free.
Great tips and tricks. Will utilize these this weekend.

G'day Andrew. Just bought a Garmin SD card with maps already installed, but sounder Echo map cv 62 , not reading the card. 2022 sounder and card is a bit newer , 2022 fishpro 170. Any ideas? Cheers
It should be reading unless you paid for the highest spec card that may not be compatible with the 62CV
If you call Garmin phone support they should be able to help you through it

Thanx Andrew.... Mate you are an asset to Sea doo.... Was trying to get those maps downloaded using Garmin's U tube videos and the instructions manual.... Just a waste of time.... I used your step by step guide and got them installed pretty easily.... The only hick up was my gamin express was set up for my Garmin forerunner watch and it wasn't working.... Only when I went to reinstall it did it add the marine software... After that it was a breeze... Picked up my fishpro sport on Friday and been on the water and getting fishe gear sorted and maps.....very happy...Thanks again

Hi, I don’t know which map you are using the code against for your region, it’s best you call your local Garmin helpline to see if the voucher code is active and the map you are selecting is compatible.

Hello Andrew. I like a previous comment am having trouble loading my map into the new 62CV. I followed you video until you logged into the American Garmin site and clicked on ‘shop now’. This takes me to the American west coast options. You then switch to another screen that has a Google screen with a message on it. The screen then shifts to the Australian and NZ chart option with an ADD TO CART button. I have tried to follow you but now matter how I try I don’t get an ADD TO CART button on the Australian map options. Am I missing something. Tried going direct through the Garmin Australia site with the same result. This is driving me insane. Any help please.
Yes at that stage I discussed and used an already saved short cut to the charts I required. At 9 minutes 54 secs you will see a prompt in the top right hand corner that has the same link for Aus/NZ charts that will also have the add to cart option. It’s pretty embarrassing that Garmin don’t have their website functioning the way it should :-( I mentioned this to them at least two weeks ago that it isn’t working correctly.
Hello Andrew. Thank you for replying to my chart update issue. I totally agree with you on the download process. It’s not very good. I have emailed Garmin with my complaint like yourself. I live in Western Australia and have been in Facebook contact with a number of new FishPro owners and they have given up on trying both through the PC and Active Captain methods. Now the good news. I looked very closely at your PC screen and took note of the Garmin chart name for Australia and NZ. Did a search on that and back it came With an Add To Cart button. downloaded that file using my code and it all went well. One point, though, I looked for the chart for just the WA coast, which I found, but wouldn’t accept my code. Strange! Anyway. Big thank you for your help and love watching you Vids. PS. The reel covers you have on your rods, where do you get them please?

Oh that would be frustrating! As long as you aren’t missing anyone steps it should work, worst case scenario ring Garmin support to have your Garmin Express reset and talk through trouble shooting with them

I believe it’s compatible with the upgraded mapping Auto Guidance Technology… not a feature that I have tried using though.

Hi Andrew. Have had or still having troubles on my 62 CV. Have managed to register it but that s about all. I have been told I have the latest version 14.10 installed. The token didn't come in the instructions. Should I go back to the dealer?
Could you make another video for my model because the 72 cv is not that similar? Also, could you slow down some of the shots as it was hard to see on screen. Overall a useful video.Thanks.
Hi Mark, follow the procedures from start to finish including the default reset. I would also recommend resetting your Garmin Express if you have attempted already using that. It won’t matter if you have a 62 or a 72 it’s only the touch screen that will make the procedure any different. UA-cam also has a function to slow down the playback speed, it will be much easier than me producing another video for such a similar functioning Garmin. Hopefully you get your Token number as pictured in the video. With familiarising yourself with the steps in watching the video and calling Garmin support you will get it sorted👍
Thanks Andrew, didn't know you could slow youtube down. I will try and get the token tomorrow. Also the garmin youtube video is out of date as they have recently changed the garmin home page but I've heard they're working on that.
