Personally, I believe the United Nation should have a rule that the seats cannot be empty. If the head of the country cannot or will not be present, somebody else must be designated to sit and listen. The country with empty seats for anybody that came from the other side of the world to speak to them should be just plain kicked out of the UN. Not that anybody cares what I think of course.

In fairness, the Israeli success as of late must be contextual. First, Lebanon is a failed state, a 3rd world country. They have no Air Force. They have missile, guns and people with a death wish. Israel clearly has the advantage. The U.S. prime delivery of bombs v Iran prime is no contest on quality and quantity. Also, the mentality of the enemies is retrograde. Israelis are much more capable to execute military plans that Hezbollah or Hamas. In fact, that why terrorism exists. Asymmetry is the old method of warfare that is cheap both morally and financially. Hezbollah and Hamas are not world class entities.
Regardless, it’s been a wild ride the last couple weeks. It’s good to see the pendulum swing the other way.
