Angel - Most Intro Sequences (Max Possible Quality)

- Only the last season of Angel was in HD, and even then it was only in 720p HD, not 1080p FHD, but it still looks better. Every other one was in SD (480p)
The refresh rate wasn't fixable in this video, as the first intro sequence was at 29.97 FPS, whereas every other intro sequence after that was at 23.978 FPS. The first episode of Angel appears to only be in 4:3 mode, which is bizarre, because it looks like the source footage they would have back at the station in 1999 would have to be in 16:9 (or something similar), as the intros after this use the same footage, and how the episodes linking the source footage for the intro sequence together might suggest, it looks like they might have recorded the first episode (the "pilot"), but didn't make an intro yet, then filmed a few more episodes, then made an intro sequence, and then retroactively putting that new intro on the first 5 episodes that didn't already have one. You follow? Probably not, it's a mess to explain.
Basically, season 1 of Angel is full of anomalies, in the first 5 or 6 episodes, at least.

Andy was a true star. He flew over to the UK against doctors advice for a con (second time I met him) because he wanted to be with the fans. Although he was clearly ill and we all told him off for doing it!

Season 4 had its ups and downs but the credits flow the best - note how the beat hits with Gunn striking and it just stays perfectly in sync through the end
Wesley and Cordelia have the best arcs in the show!

Nah man the Cordelia one was actually going somewhere and then bombed horribly when JW wanted to turn the fans on her. Terrible terrible writing.
@@robertbell307 Which I feel was fair, as a fellow writer. The contract was clear about the state of the character. You don't just go and get pregnant mid plot and expect things to rotate around you. Which he did still accomodate. Personally I'd have killed off her character. Joss was ultimately pretty damn kind and still gets panned for not smiling through it.

I grew up watching buffy angel was devastated when angel ended im old man now watching this 20 plus years later
I recall when it was airing I didn't give it the time of day because assumed it was too cheesy. I picked it up for the first time in 2008 and I've loved it ever since. I wish I could go back and watch it while it was premiering.

I really didn't like both elementary school and middle school but this show was always on in the morning and this show would always make me happy whenever I went to elementary school and middle school so thank you so much Angel for always making my morning a fun morning as well:).

You’re missing the first half of Season 5 intro. Amy Acker isn’t Illyria yet and Mercedes McNab wasn’t added till later in the season.

Because it was made in the early 2000s when most people only had SD screens, and it wasn’t popular enough apparently for someone to go and find the original film rolls and transfer a higher quality version.

Seasonal, not mid-seasonal. That’d be my guess. Every like 4 episodes also has their own music and volume profile, but I’m not adding those either.
@@iRedMCYT why did you have season one twice? i thought 2nd one is with wesley than. and the version you have in season 5 is the 2nd one so its mid-seasonal.
@@DiboHugo23 I believe it’s because the first episode for some reason looks like it was from a VHS tape or something and that’s goofy so I put it in. The 2nd episode on never looked like that.

the first two intros are the same, i assumed the 2nd was suppose to be for alexis denisof as the replacement for glenn quinn. also u dont have season 4 v2 when they added andy hallett to the intro and removed the angel cutout on the roof. and season 5 v1 before mercedes mcnab was added to the intro, in addition amy acker was still fred before illyria was added. ua-cam.com/video/8cR9h3GUtdc/v-deo.html
