I finally got around to trying this so that I could put the Carlinkit 3.0 you recommended under the console like you did. Everything worked just like on your video. Thanks a bunch! PS - I’d love to know how you learned all of this stuff!
Honestly, trial and error. I’ve taken apart enough cars, especially Subaru’s, in my life for various reasons. You start to get a rough idea on how everything works. I’ve broken my fair share of retaining clips lol
I’m wanting to remove the plastic side panels on the console. Looks like it has one screw in back and two clips toward the front looking at a blowup diagram. Have you tried removing them? Figured I’d ask hoping someone else has tried it. Great video by the way. Stuff like this is a HUGE help.
I personally have not, but outside of a few retaining clips, it shouldn’t be too difficult. Look for possible screws closer to the cup holder area that may need to be undone
Could you please make a video for the central console box replacement? In Chile we dont have a 12V outlet so I'm planning into buying the part in US and install it by my self
@@wildxtrek oh shit I just learned about these from this comment. Wireless CarPlay is a dream come true haha. Does it work on the *full* display on the wilderness? Like same as if plugged in?
Looks like he put the wireless car play unit under there! I may do the exact same. I have the same console with a 90 degree usb connector so its cleaner.
@@wildxtrek Can you just unplug the wireless charger & use the space for storage, or MUST the charger come out (like, to avoid damage to credit cards or other electronics even with it unplugged)?

Fantasic video. Thanks.
Im planning to kill some squeaks and noises.
Very helpful
Is the same procedure for a 2022 Subaru Forester?
Can I remove the speaker covers on the front doors panels to clean them? Thanks
Thx. I could hide my ProClip chargers cable
You have an USB cable connected at the front with a wire going under the console ( wireless charger ) , what is it for ?
@@wildxtrek I use that too , but mine keep disconnecting at random , usually when i need it the most . Do you have this issue with yours ?

Can I get rid of the wireless charger?
Are those storage nets I see in your footwells? Thanks for your videos. Hope you make more.
Yes you can. You will need to buy the non-wireless charging parts to make it a storage area.
@@davidahl72 Yes, they are attached via velcro. You can find them on AliExpress for about $4-5.
