Fantastic, just simply fantastic. I could watch this for hours. You should have your own TV show. Excellent flying, very informative and funny. Keep up the great work. Thank you. Chris.
The best bit was where you’d just finished talking about crashing into the sea, then came over in your narrator voice and said your flight of four was now down to three. :)
Jon that was a busy journey and having to understand accents of ATC was a challenge but you did it. What a great adventure for us to come along with you. I fully agree with your comments about the trip, to many hours lost tied up with paper work. But I’m sure you will feel great after this adventure and it will inspire you to plan perhaps your own adventure in the future. It’s another chapter completed in your flying world. Thank You so much. ✈️
Great as always. Good for those of us in the flight sim world as the developer Orbx have produced an excellent scenery of Pula so it’s nice to see it for real and how accurate it is!! Thanks another great leg! Keith
Enjoyed the video John and appreciate your time and effort in editing the material and presenting it in a way that we all could enjoy. It was like being there with you. Thank you. Keep current and fly safe John.
Hi Jon - really enjoyed this series. The quality of the editing is so professional as well! I'm progressing nicely (finally!) after many hours of practicing my landings over the past few months. I can honeslty say you keep inspiring me to keep going. All the best! Steven.
What surprised me the most was no LDPM Medulin on SkyDemon?? It's not in the AIP, but doesn't really need to be there to be on SD. Very nice video, greetings from Croatia.
Nice landing Jon these group trips can be fun done a few here in New Zealand. I wish Australia was closer it can be done without long range tanks but via Norfolk Island (NW of NZ) then a SW track to Lord Howe Island many hours over water and the weather can be a major issue so careful planning is required. A few years ago a Australian Medivac Jet Commander aircraft was unable to land at Norfolk Island due bad weather and was fuel critical so the pilot decided to ditch the aircraft into the water in the dark as near to the Island as possible and they all survived, this adventure did not look good on the pilots CV. cheers Brian
smidge hard from down under but oh well. Interesting also way back in the dark ages when i learnt the art of flight PA28/C172 types where seen more as trainers than serious trip machines; seems we where wrong
Very interesting to watch the whole series! Was it a requirement to always land at international airports? Would it be allowed to land in an international airport when you enter EU, but then continue through smaller airfields in other EU countries? BTW, how much did these airports charge?
Wow! Jon, a great trip and many thanks for bringing us all along. Are we going to see the return as well? Did you communicate between aircraft at any time?
How come they need to clear you into Delta when you're IFR? Here in the US, once you have your IFR clearance, this includes all airspace (i.e., airspace becomes "transparent").
CONGRATS Jon on completion of your Croatia adventure. Much fun following your flights. I'll bet u were reviewing your egress training at some point of your 90 nm flight over the Adriatic ha ha. Curious as to the reason for the ATC time check after your departure -it sounds likes you were in radar coverage for the flight and you weren't on an IFR flight so I'm guessing you didn't have to position report/state times -any idea?
Instead of complaining about red tape and waiting time, I would suggest understanding cultural differences before engaging on an international trip. You betray a typical british attitude when it comes to such things.
Just ' boxset' the whole trip 1-5 , very good Jon and a few familiar faces from Staples EGSG...

Thanks Chris.
Brilliant, thanks for taking us along. Am thoroughly enjoying this trip. Regards, Andy.
Thanks for the message Andy.

I’m really enjoying following you on your adventure in Europe . Thank you for bringing your flying to me here in my lounge room in Sydney .
Pleasure David.

Thank you Stewart.
Superb Jon, really enjoyed that, you make flying seem so easy when you are so organised in the cockpit like that.
I wouldn't say I was particularly well organised! But thank you!
Great stuff Jon, well done and thanks. I expect you had your co-pilot fully trained on com/Nav set by the time you got home! “Just press it”!!!

Sorry the camera views weren't so good this time.
You should try getting into VR, brings the whole Orbx scenery to life. I use the oculus rift and can recognise the scenery below me when not in IMC.
Another great flight, it's been an incredible trip!
It was an adventure. Thanks for watching.

Thank you Gary.

I'd worry crossing so much water. I cross a fair bit of water, rarely with a raft etc. For a long, cold, crossing, I'd want to be very careful.
Great work Jon, love this. Something I would love to do in the future
Thank you Yousra.
Very enjoyable, as ever.
Thanks for your supporter Kevin.
Another great video. Thanks.
My pleasure.
Great work guys really enjoying this series of videos wish i was doing it as well
Thanks Wayne. Perfectly achievable

I filmed the return...will see if I cane make some episodes out of it. Yes, we did.
Hi John, informative and entertaining as usual 😀
Can you imagine the paperwork after we leave the EU.
Regards
Steve.
Don't!
Aviating through Italian airspace looks and sounds like a real test
Weather on our trip didn't make it easy.
@@TheFlyingReporter great video, thanks Jon.
Nice. My home at 2.55 just near the church
No MiG 21s lurking by the side of the runway these days. There were plenty when I visited in 1989.
Ha. Not, all very civilised now.
How come they need to clear you into Delta when you're IFR? Here in the US, once you have your IFR clearance, this includes all airspace (i.e., airspace becomes "transparent").
It was a VFR flight.
well done john round the world next?
I'm not that brave!

ATC capturing the time on tape that the flight left the Italian FIR.
Thanks Douglas. I think they were anticipating is be asked for an estimate at the Fir boundary (which I was).

Alan Pini A bit harsh. Just the same chatter anyone would have wherever they’re from.
We moan about our own red tape too, can’t blame them for being irritated when they were trying to beat weather for no good reason
