I think it’s a useful thing to make a habit of using an essential oil or even an herb before going to bed so just the scent will set your body’s sleepiness into motion.
I love these videos so much!!!! Rachelle is freaking gorgeous and inspiring!!!!! I love learning about herbs for routine, I've been so skincare focused shifting more of my attention to the beautiful things I put into my body and not just on it makes all the difference
Wonderful video! I just read an NIH study connecting melatonin as a possible treatment for IBS -C/constipation so I'd love to hear more about treatments for IBS-C/MMC issues. Thank you so much and I love all the wisdom you share!
On a heavy workout regiment as well as high protein plus (not low) fats and carbs macro diet. Still having an awful time getting to sleep! Like real bad! This has been helpful to understand the type of aids you can use to help you get some good r&r
Hi there! Sorry I know I'm not her and this is a little late. It will depend on the individual. Tinctures are more potent forms of herbs where the herbs have been extracted usually in alcohol.
As an herbalist, I am disappointed to see the promotion and use of so many commercial supplements. So much energy and waste are embodied in manufacturing, plastic packaging, and global transportation. A core value of herbalism is respect for the earth and I don't see or hear any evidence of that in these videos. It's also irresponsible to promote the use of supplements in a generic fashion. Unfortunately, this is not really a plant-based series of videos but it appears to promote the use of herbs as another form of profitable consumption with no regard for the negative impacts of the consumption and sends the message that supplements are all good, and useful for everyone.
What about reusing tincture bottles or recycling the plastic supplement containers? While I mostly agree with your comment, let's be honest here. Most people are not interested in growing their own herbs (unfortunately) or learning to use bulk herbs. MOST people are going to buy the supplement form, or bags of tea. Buying supplements can be very beneficial if you know how to use them properly, and most of us are not getting what we need from diet alone even if we eat primarily healthy. It's also really difficult to completely avoid plastic in this day and age. Do you have any specific suggestions?
@@GoreSydni Supplements embrace a huge array of products, many made in manufacturing plants that are neither regulated nor inspected. The US does inspect or regulate supplements and that's why it is a 70-billion-dollar industry - anybody can throw together a concoction, put a label on it and sell it. How do you know that when you purchase powdered ashwagandha or turmeric that it contains only that? As the demand for supplements increases so does the level of adulteration of supplements. And what about levels of toxins where plants are grown; just recently, cacao and chocolate products are found to have varying levels of heavy metals. And anyone who calls herself an herbalist or a consumer of herbs should place priority on the quality of the product, who made it, how the workers who made it were treated, and lastly, the impact of its production and transportation on the environment because the plant world deserves that kind of respect. If you are going to use herbs medicinally or nutritionally then you should do research on whether what is the most effective way to use them for your body. When I look at her videos and see all of the products she recommends, I wonder how much she is paid to promote the products. Learning how to use 10 herbs properly for your own personal health is not difficult - especially with so much information available. I do have an herb garden but I also order from Mountain Rose Herbs. If you are wondering about the quality of supplements and herbs, I encourage you to read The Business of Botanicals. You would be shocked to learn about some of the conditions that herbal supplements are produced.

I agree with you, Jeanne.

I will check out the book you recommended. After hearing about the way essential oils are made , it has opened my eyes a lot…
