What a very beautiful. Brilliant! The sound reminds me of a kind of lonely feeling. Your note is so elegant, classical and husky, which is my favorite!
Bravo! Very clear harmonics in the middle section and your 10ths are amazingly in-tune. For extra challenge, try sul C and sul G in the appropriate sections!
Thank you so much!!! I am using the transcribed version, which is one fifth down from the violin music. You can purchase the transcribed version from “viola world” online.
@@emadzolfaghari8119 That’s extremely impressive for 6.5 years! You must have a very good practice ethos and a great teacher? I’m a professional violist and am learning this piece on violin (I started on violin, changed to viola when I was 15, and am currently teaching a lot of young violinists so wanting to brush up my violin playing) Absolutely love your performance in this video. Someone commented that you could challenge yourself by doing all the harmonics sul C or sul G as in the original violin version and you probably could… (never say never) but in my experience, that’s not practical (for me-I have a small hand and a lovely large viola- and some of the violin pyrotechnics are just not physically possible, so I love your alternative solutions to this). A very inspiring performance.
The score is available for purchase on amazon and a few other sites, here is the link to the amazon one: www.amazon.com/WIENIAWSKI-Scherzo-Tarantella-Op-16-Viola/dp/B007NWRXEE/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=wieniawski+scherzo+tarantelle+viola&qid=1624460332&sr=8-1
This is truly beautiful and not full of the standard intonation slips that many violin-to-viola transcriptions cause! Very well done! As a violist and also a luthier, I wanted to ask you about your setup: have you had the soundpost adjusted with your luthier? And also what A string are you using? I ask because your viola has a beautiful luscious tone in general and balances well with that piano... but the A string was [at certain/multiple times] like an empty tin can having a strip of sandpaper dragged across it. Very sorry to say. I didn't want to have to pick on this video at all! If you could tell me what all of you strings are, I could make a suggestion on a nice balancing A. If you're open to that idea. I may be the first to comment on it! I would say if you like your strings though that the soundpost needs to be moved more centrally (only 1mm or so, a tiny measurement, yet a significant amount for tone!) rather than very much on the treble side where I predict it is. The bridge is also very thick from what I can see. The more wood you have there, the more you'll hear higher frequencies. Thickness is good for the C and G strings some times if you have high-tension strings, but it can cause the D string to "choke up" and have a chalky sound which you then have to compensate for in the bowing arm, and then finally the A sounds very metallic because the high frequencies have unfortunately been set to overdrive! Alas, your playing and superb technique make this rendition magical and I'll certainly revisit this video many times and share it with friends and colleagues! :)
Really nice. Sautille is string. Lacks the rugged brutality the separated Wieniawski’s slow beautiful melodies it’s also strange in that register. Sounds like Bear on Castro in SF. I’ve heard them speak that way when they get drunk. I wonder when Hilary is going to put herself up to the Tarantelle challenge, is she really better than Heifetz, or am I misleading myself, for my grandteacher was “Going D’Souza Violinist. Hahn is not the Jesus of the violin. She is immortal, but not his violinist.
did not know this piece could sound so nice on the Viola. Bravo
Amazing performance, the viola gives it a different touch, amazing🎉🎉

@@abigailcrossman3373 Thank you so much for your kind words! Much appreciated!!
Nice job, Emad!
Great job. Out of curiosity, what made you choose viola over violin?
Thank you!! I actually started with viola in elementary school, I chose it because I loved its deeper sound compared to the violin.
