this stick works great windows Windows 11 22H2 64-Bit, i play war thunder with it, and windows recognizes it in settings, i have the same one you have with the adapter, although, it does not work on my friends win 10 laptop, which is strange
It didn't when I tested it. It's possible they may have added it in an update. But I think you may be familiar with the version that's straight usb, this one was connected through a USB to serial adapter, since the cable on it was serial. I think that's what stopped it from being plug n play.
@@poppunkpickersebaydemos No, I have the exact same you have, with a serial or "gameport" connector and a usb adapter. It's been plug and play with windows for years. There is something wrong with either your stick or your operating system if it doesn't work. I have many many hours in Elite Dangerous, Star Citizen and Freespace 2 using this exact stick with the old serial connector. It works fine.

Most things work fine, but I have had an older capture card that also wasn't recognized. I know the stick worked, because it worked fine on the windows 7 laptop I show in the video.
I was wanting to use this on a vintage Windows 2000 laptop with some flight simulators on CD-ROM after finding this joystick in the attic buried within a cable of wires, not too surprising it'll fail on modern versions of Windows but I'm surprised the laptop I want to try it on is too new to even have a GamePort to where I needed to buy that adapter cable. Is there any documentation as to its age?
@@poppunkpickersebaydemos Perhaps by the screenshots on its manual, you can differentiate the version of Windows being used within the examples and see if that was a revision made later or if the hardware actually came out then. Either way, it’d make sense the 9X era since those ones distinctly promised seamless Plug & Play capabilities in their setup programs…
I literally just plugged it into my windows 10 64bit pc and it worked perfect after it auto loaded drivers for it. Played it with War Thunder, and it works perfect without any odd setup. It is completely plug and play. And you are completely wrong. Si it should sell better. I do however hate ppl trying to sell their ebay items on youtube. I'm looking for more serious reviews where someone knows about the joysticks finer tuning.

That stick works fine with Windows 11, it's plug and play. Windows downloads the drivers off the web when you plug it in.

Looking at the pictures of the box, the latest version of windows mentioned was Windows 98, So I'm guessing it's probably from around 99.
