I actually nearly forgot to watch yesterday's video due to a severe flare up in my chronic illnesses. Watching you guys helps me to forget the struggles that i go through everyday for the most part until I get mowed down by bad flare ups. I end up taking my breathing forgranted, I have asthma that I tell myself isn't too bad but is worsening as well as sinus tachycardia, then I het hit hard. Woke up unable to breathe or feel parts of my limbs as often when my adthma flares bad my heart rate elevates even more to try and compensate. Spent part of the day in bed til I could semi breathe properly and feel my feet enough to walk. But I just remembered Mary's montras. Gotta do what you think you can't do so I did some walking to strengthen my lungs as well as go to help a friend. Thank you Mary, Peter, Ollie, and the Frey Life family for reminding me that every moment is still precious and to fly when you think you can't walk Today is better still a little labored breathing and all. And if you can can you keep me and my boyfriend, he just had surgery recently, in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you again and thank you Mary for reminding each moment and breath is precious and not to take it forgranted.
I advise you to call your insurance people , just to make sure everything is Ok. They have machines they can run to remove the smoke smell called Ozone generators. With your breathing problems I think it is wise to at least get the home assessed. Glad you are all safe
bcerqs Ozone generators help remove the smoke odor, but they destroy other things in the process. Our insurance company put one in our travel trailer for smoke damage from a forest fire. It destroyed everything that contained latex including seals, glues, and other materials used in the construction of the trailer as well as any clothing with rubber based elastic. The elastic was immediate but it took about a year for the walls to separate and the larger seals to show damage.
While ozone is fantastic at taking any odors out, in order to create ozone an oxygen molecule must be removed from the air as it goes through the machine. Ultimately, there will be less available oxygen inside the home. This is most likely inappropriate for a home where someone has any type of breathing problems. Please take care Mary, Peter and Ollie.
So grateful that you all are alright. I just told my friend who's sister has CF about you all. My friend ran for 65 days from St. Louis to New York City to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. She is amazing and you all remind me of her each day I watch your vlogs.
Peter, you are an angel incarnate for all the work you do caring for Mary, plus enduring the emotional strain of loving someone who suffers such health challenges. It is no wonder that for once you set a rag down. The angels were there caring for you two and made sure nothing worse came of it. Relax, they've got your back! Love and prayers to you both.
We had a "minor" fire in our home a little over a month ago. Thankfully we have renters insurance even though it isn't mandatory to have it in NY. I was going to clean everything myself until I found out our insurance covers just cleaning after it. I had no idea how bad soot and smoke damage was. I'm glad you guys knew someone that knew how to check for that. So thankful it wasn't as bad as my place was. Stay safe!
Yes, I cleaned minor issues in my house after a water damage issue and insurance paid me to clean my own house. Keep track of hours cleaning and call the insurance company if you want to go that route.
That was scary! Is there a place where you can rent an industrial air filter? Worried about your lungs Mary, but you are on top of it. Don't forget to have your wires and light switch checked (even though it was likely the rags), my light switch caught on fire, ... thankfully my dog kept waking me up, so I was prepared and all was ok. But old wires can be an issue. Keep us posted. Many hugs I send.
Oh my goodness I am so glad you guys and the house is all okay! And glad you had a good meeting with your surgeon! You guys will be in my prayers all week, as always! :)
Mary, you're so fantastic that you always find the thing you're thankful for instead of thinking about all the things that went wrong! I wish more people were like you; there are a lot of people who seem to choose to be miserable about all the little things, when they could be being happy about the great things they have in their life! But you're a great example and all it takes is a little happiness to show people what they're missing out on. :)
thank goodness your all ok and the house is fine. God was certainly looking over you today. hope your service at church went well and your celebration for easter Sunday is everything you hoped for. God bless you all and big hugs all the way from Sunderland in the north east of England xx
So glad you're both ok regarding the fire! On another note, Peter totally cracked me up with his Urgent Blowout comment " I don't usually put up a banner when it happens!". I laughed so hard at that!
So glad all 3 of you are safe! Do you rent or own? If own you should have an insurance claim for the electrician and have the place looked at to be safe.
I'm so glad everything is ok, but I had to laugh when Ollie suddenly sat up in the back seat! I was trying to concentrate on what you were saying about your J tube but I lost it! He's such a funny man!
Wow I am so grateful that the fire was contained. With your lungs, Mary, you should have someone to to your home and do a after fire cleanup so you don't get spot on your medical equipment or clothing! I just can't get over how calm you guys are. I am a calm type. We had two apartment fires in our building. The last one was n the floor below us and when I realised there was a real fire I slowly went down 18 flights of stairs. The guy had been cooking french fries in a pot of oil on the stove and fell asleep. He had previously removed the battery from the smoke alarm! *smh* I was angry but instead say next to him calmly spoke to him to see that he was ok. I stayed for 2 hours in so much pain yet not thinking about me. They had a cat and the firemen put her in a box so I called her. She was covered in soot and scared. I just hate seeing people hurt or in peril of any small or large kind. He thanked me so much and I was so happy to help in my small way. I am happy you guys are safe!
Call your insurance company... make sure the house is completely inspected. This could take awhile to resolve. You'll have to have things professionally cleaned to get the spot gone.
My dad is a general contractor who has his own buisness and has done so many jobs for fire and water restoration. He also worked for a restoration company. They use a product called air sponge. It is amazing at clearing up smoke smell. As well as I use it in my home and it does wonders when I set one by my guinea pug cage. I also used them when I had a big kitchen fire. I mean the kitchen walls and ceiling were covered in gray soot and the smike smell got into everything. Including my bedroom, beside the kitchen, and my whole closet and all my clothes. I put a couple air sponges in there and lughtly misted the clothes with the liquid form and after a few days everything was fine. The clothes were clean just smoky and the liquid air sponge has no scent it just absorbs the smell and then dries. The hospital also used one under my hospital bed when I got osteomyalitis in the bones of my big toe. That infection led to ulcers that tracked and made tunnels all through the toe and ball of my foot. The surgeon had to open them all. 7 in total including 1 regular ulcer hole on the side. He cut out all the dead yucky tissue and then started the packing and a pic line placement to administer drugs. Any way the air sponge totaly took away all the horible odor from it. Also afective more so than baking soda in the fridge or anywhere is a tray (any size) with some activated charcoal/carbon spread out on it. That is what water filters use as well as in fish tank filters. I have had many fish tanks in my life from a fish bowl all the way up to 150 galons and they have never smelled at all because of active carbon in the filter.
As soon as Mary mentioned the fire my first thought was the stain and rags. I'm so happy everything is okay, you are the second UA-camr I follow that had a close call with a fire on the same day. Blessings to everyone
The Cross looks great. This year at the end of our service our organist played as the congregation took turns hammering a nail into the cross. Very powerful.
Mary & Peter! Happy Easter!! Sending Prayers & Love! I hope you are able to focus on the positive people and release the negative ones. Living with a chronic illness isn't easy, but like you do....I lean on my faith in God to see me through the trials & tribulations! God Bless you both!
as someone who lost EVERYTHING in a house fire, I am so glad your home is relatively okay!!! See if your insurance will cover an electrician to check all wiring, just to be safe. Our fire started when a TV in my bedroom (that wasn't even plugged in!) blew up and set my bed on fire, thankfully I was at work and not sleeping in that bed! But.....family is fine and that is what matters :) XOXOXOXO to you all!!!
PTL that you are safe and the house did not have a lot of damage....thank God! A blessed Holy Saturday to you both & all of our Christian brothers & sisters in the Frey Life Family. Cheering on from Chicago!
Nice idea to get the house assessed. I can't wait to find out how getting extra nutrition will affect Mary's health. It will be so good. And it's not such a bad thing you all will be out of the house for a few days, to let it air out or whatever.
My dad had a j-tube when he had esophageal cancer, it was the only way he got nutrition and it worked very well, it did get pulled out at least once that i know and a trip to the ER took care of it, you should do well. Wow! so thankful it was a minor incident.
I hope everything gets sorted out with your home. What tough timing especially around the holiday. God only gives us what we can handle and I know you both will be able to work through this. Good luck with your J tube! Peter, my husband, baby girl, and I live in Foxboro... I am thinking of coming to your church next weekend to hear your homily live. I watch your channel and I enjoy your sermons very much! Since our little one is a bit cranky when she needs to sleep, my husband will be staying home with her unless we get brave and throw caution to the wind 😂 I don't want to overstep any boundaries so please let me know if you prefer us to continue watching via UA-cam or if it is ok with you and your church that we travel up your way. Thank you and God bless!
So glad everything is okay. I went through a house fire in 2009, palms sunday. we lost everything including 2 dogs and 3 cats. its still hard to this day, so I am very happy you all are safe and it wasnt worse then it was.
Omg I'm TOTALLY signing up for ukulele classes and maybe even something else! I signed up for Baileys breathe360 class that I'm starting this week (I didn't have enough spoons to do it last week) and I I'm so excited!!! I'm so happy you guys decided to do a plain ol j, GJ tubes are known to flip the j into the g part and then it's an ER trip and a huge thing. I'm sure other people have told you about tube pads that serve multiple purposes! to soak up the leakage, to be a cushion between the plastic and your skin (to reduce the risk of granulation tissue), and there are SOOOOO many choices of what print, texture, shape, textile, etc you want. From what I've heard, tubie whoobies is the most popular and they also make covers for the port connections where the feed bag connects to your tube extension so that they don't pop open and give you a formula bath. But I'm sure if you asked Kelley she would have some ideas for fun prints that could match your blankets!!! I'm getting a seatbelt cover/port protector for my car from her soon and I'm so excited 😊
Praise God ,that everything is fine.I am glad you got home when you did.The Cross you made Peter is beautiful.Have a blessed service tonight.Got is around you and Mary.Happy Easter to you all.God bless .Margaret from Florida.👍💗😀
Yay! You're getting the low profile external connection and YAY for being able to change you're own tube! I'm grateful that my hEDS hasn't lead to a feeding tube but I've learned a lot about it as a just in case situation.
You guys are really lucky. Something similar happened on the night before Easter 2017. One of my neighbors left a whole bunch of spray paint cans directly in front of their furnace, and they exploded with so much force that it blew both of the doors off of their garage. On top of that, they had torn out the firewall and replaced it with drywall to accommodate two tenants, allowing the fire to engulf their entire house. Thank God they were out of town when this happened.
When Peter mentioned the Boston marathon all I think about is my aunt and how lucky she was because she finished 30 minute before the explosions. Thank you god
URGENT BLOWOUT!!! Been there, done that too!!! That is so hysterical Peter. I love your humor, both of you. Thanks for the belly laugh. Now to the more serious stuff. PRAISE GOD for watching over your beautiful home. It could have been a tragic accident and it was minor. WOW, I have had a home catch fire and lost almost everything and know the fear of all that. My son and I got out of the house at 3 am. but our water heater was smoldering and eventually caught fire. So scary! I am so grateful everything turned out as it did. God is so good isn't He? Well, I hope the service went well. I'm sure it did. Take care of each other. Blessings.
Im so glad you guys are ok. Thank goodness for a nice day to be able to open up your windows. Have you heard of the Nest protect? We have one and it's wonderful because it can alert you via your cell phone if there is smoke or a fire. You probably need more than one throughout the house, we have one now in our main area, since we have the regular smoke detectors in other areas. I just like it since it can send alerts to your phone. Your church looks beautiful, and Peter, I love the cross. Love and hugs to the 3 of you, and God bless you too, see you tomorrow!
Sooo glad y'all are okay!!! I saw a woman walking 4 dogs yesterday (maybe dog walker), and one of them dogs had a vest on it saying do not pet. . I immediately thought of y'all and Ollie!
I wasn’t looking at the screen when she said there were ducks, but I definitely wasn’t expecting giant rubber ducks. That made me laugh out loud at 1 am.
So happy you are both ok! Something like this recently happened to UA-camr's 8Passengers (sister of Ellie from E&J). They had to have the crew in to clean up after the smoke damage.
I've heard of this happening with paint thinner before, especially if it is on a rag. It spontaneously combusts for whatever reason. We had a friend whose garage burned down for the same reason. Glad you guys are safe!
I know you all do a lot of projects. I would suggest a metal flammables box/ cabinet for stains, paints, ect and metal bucket ( like a fireplace ashes bucket) with lid for used rags. My father was a fireman, mom was a police officer, Grandparents did antique furniture restorations lots of stains, paint thinner, ... ect. It was always told to us the importance of having things stored the safest way. Like not storing gas and fertilizer together. I still break the rules about extension cords and space heaters ( not together). Because sometimes you need to plug something in with a cord that won't reach and my bedroom is was to cold in the winter. Just glad you all are fine, even Firehouse have had fires so no way everyone can avoid something happening.
scary stuff on the fire so glad you all are ok,,, glad nothing major got damaged but that all can be replaced unlike you two,,please be safe,,, I am glad you all have a plan for the Gtube (spelling). Happy Easter to you both :)
I actually nearly forgot to watch yesterday's video due to a severe flare up in my chronic illnesses. bitter sweet how in the midst of the panic and damage of the fire there's a big cross right there showing that God is with you in this x
I advise you to call your insurance people , just to make sure everything is Ok. They have machines they can run to remove the smoke smell called Ozone generators. With your breathing problems I think it is wise to at least get the home assessed. Glad you are all safe
They best not stay in house
I truly hope they do this. The toxins can seep into the sofa, bed etc and you guys could be breathing it in & not know it. Prayers ! :)
Ozone is actually quite bad for the respiratory system. Ozone generators can be pretty dangerous.
bcerqs Ozone generators help remove the smoke odor, but they destroy other things in the process. Our insurance company put one in our travel trailer for smoke damage from a forest fire. The Harbor Freight sign made me laugh sooo hard. They didn't think through that sign quite enough. 😂
So glad the fire wasn't worse--that is crazy that happened.
waitingforspring317 it took me a min to get the joke
Laura Gadille
I still do not get the joke.
"Urgent Blowout" sounds less like a tool sale and more like someone had major bathroom issues. lol.
When you have to go number two so bad it's a blowout event. Haha

Mary is so witty and funny. It's yoga with Canadian geese lol
So grateful to God that you're ok. Miracles happen everyday!
So thankful that you are all safe! with your health issues, I would just have someone come in and clean everything for you guys.
That was a close call! Glad it wasn't any worse. Happy Easter weekend to you both, and Ollie of course.
My prayers go out to you. You two are both so strong. I hope everything is okay. At least it will make for an interesting tail to tell.
Happy almost Easter!
So glad all 3 of you are safe! Do you rent or own? If own you should have an insurance claim for the electrician and have the place looked at to be safe.
A furniture store in my hometown had a "stool blowout" and when I saw it on the flier, I about died laughing!
Lol
Mary, you are looking amazing right now and I'm glad you aren't feeling too bad at the moment!
So I had to google mic-key and mini buttons because my brain immediately went to Minnie and Mickey Mouse. So less fun than initially expected
🎤🐭🐭 "M-I-C, K-E-Y, M-O-U-S-E"

Tesa j Me to lol so funny
They must make Mickey and Minnie tubie pads!
I've had both tubes and I've NEVER noticed that!
I'm so glad everything is ok, but I had to laugh when Ollie suddenly sat up in the back seat! I was trying to concentrate on what you were saying about your J tube but I lost it! He's such a funny man!
Oh my goodness, I am so glad your house is ok and you all are ok! Could have happened overnight while you were there. So thankful!
So glad everything is ok!! That is terrifying. Prayers
So glad that everything turned out well; and that you arrived home when you did!
So glad your okay!:) that can be so nerve wrecking!:( have a wonderful Easter 🐣
It takes 600° to melt a switch plate so it got hot
So happy you all are okay! And the house! Happy Easter. 💙
So glad you are ok........many prayers sent your way :)
this type of life event reminds me that our lives are spared because He gave his life for us.
So glad you guys are all right. What a scary thing to happen. Lucky there was no major damage.

Blessings.
So glad guys are okay and the fire was minimal. Still, must have been scary. Sending prayers and thoughts for the upcoming surgery. 🌷🌼🐰
Glad everything is okay! Happy Easter!
I am glad that everything is ok with y'all house. That's is a gorgeous cross that Peter made.
Sooo glad y'all are okay!!! I saw a woman walking 4 dogs yesterday (maybe dog walker), and one of them dogs had a vest on it saying do not pet. . I immediately thought of y'all and Ollie!
So glad you all are safe!
God was definitely watching over you! Happy Easter, Mary, Peter, and Ollie! 🐇🐣⚘🥚
I'm so very thankful that the fire wasn't worse than it was and that the 3 of you are safe!!
Got my noti im here.Love you guys.
Glad that the fire wasn't major. Still a smokey house is scary. Good luck with your surgery Mary.
Glad everyone is okay! We had two fires in my basement due to improper cleaning of the furnace. Super scary, but it was contained to the basement.
glad everyone was okay!
So glad you guys and your home are safe!!
So glad you all are okay!! Fire is scary!!
I'm so thankful you all are ok.
I'm so relieved your home is safe. Did you get that humidifier after all? Oh beautiful cross and I love the candles!
Thank God everything is ok! Could have been really bad!
"What are you doing, blocking out the haters?" 😂
Glad everything is going to be okay with the house.
aw, so glad you are both ok and Olli! Happy Resurrection Day!
I've heard of this happening with paint thinner before, especially if it is on a rag. It spontaneously combusts for whatever reason. We had a friend whose garage burned down for the same reason. Glad you guys are safe!
So glad that everything is ok. That wasn't luck- that was the Lord. So thankful for all He does for us. Hope you have a wonderful
Easter.
Praise God You guys are ok and it wasn't really bad Praying for You Mary about Your surgery that everything goes well God Bless Happy Easter🐰
glad all is well. ..♡♡♡
