Watch this part of the video first if you have issues using the app 15:12 You need to give "Windows Install" app permission to use it with System Preferences Privacy Security Settings. You may also need to give the app Full disk access in the Security settings, drag the app into that windows.
I just used this, step by step to install windows 11 on my 7,1. This was by far the easiest OS install I've ever done, maybe easier than parallels. The hardest part was downloading the drivers from bootcamp. I don't think they dedicate much if any bandwidth to that, so if anyone is planning this get them in advance. Thanks for the great advice.

Thank you for your excellent report on Sequoia. I, too, have 5,1 and 6,1 Macs and try to keep them exactly in sync. I look forward to checking the 6,1’s behavior with PCIe chassis for my Pro Tools HDX card. The 5,1 always handled this beautifully but I’m mobile and the cheese-graters lose some of their appeal every time I travel them.

I installed the packaged drivers including the gpu for mac pro 2013 and it installed just fine no issues, they are recognized by windows 11 and the amd software it installed by itself. I guess I’m lucky that way.
Thanks for posting, what version of the driver does it say in Device manager, just wondering if they are the latest AMD driver that bootcamp installed. When I did it while back using Rufus and I installed bootcamp drivers over the R5 driver it screwed up my system and I lost video and had to start over.
Funny enough went to get the driver info and boot camp had driver updates for me. 😂😂 Anyway the drivers are. AMD FirePro D300 (FireGL v) Shows up twice for both GPU’s

@@claytonberg721 yes you can, but it can be on its own drive you do t have to put it on the internal Mac OS ssd. You can put it on a NVMe in a PCIe card etc.
Hello @MacSoundSolutions another great video and I have now recently gotten a Mac Pro 6,1. I did the tiny 11 on my Mac Pro 5,1 without a hitch, but when I try on my Mac Pro 6,1 with either the regular windows iso, or the tiny 11 iso the windows install says it takes 5 seconds and it does not work at all. I have dragged windows install into the full disk access in security & privacy settings, restarted and tried again to no avail. I have even used the older version of windows install like in your video since the software was updated 18 hours ago. I have Open Core Legacy patcher on my Mac Pro 6,1. If you have any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it. I would like to thank you again for all the great videos you have on these old "Obsolete" machines. I watch pretty much all of them from you. Thanks!

Hey Lance here's a challenge, how to get 2020 iMAC 27" to run the Intel GPU on cpu die in windows. Both the 5700xt 16gb video card and integrated APU run in OSX, but not in Windows mode. How to get both working on win 11, sounds like a big challenge. As soon as Apple ends update support, my iMac will be a full time win 11 machine, already do use it in windows for gaming most of the time. The apu would boost encoding and decoding when needed.

In windows? I’m using Firefox, in Sequoia I had some issues with Safari and Chrome but in with 15.1 they all work. The last Sonoma update seemed to have some serious bugs, my computer was locking up 14.7 after being on for a while, but Windows did not so I updated up to Sequoia 15.1 and no issues so far.
@ can you try in Mac OS Edge? I still have issues in the newest update that just came out. I wonder if it’s specifically to my system. When I try to start it is just red screen and nothing is happening for long time. It’s working but it takes forever to load, I also think it could be something with OCLP I didn’t have an issue before I patched. Maybe next version will fix this.

Im going to buy the apple wired keyboard and mouse..its always good to have a set of that...if the Duracell batteries run out,,,etc..open core..etc.Theres a real nice space grey Apple keyboard, with a plug in wire, and light up keys guys...its really nice.....Same color as the 6.1..im buying that one....As soon as you touch 1 key,,the lights come on!
For some reason when I try this method, everything seems to be going good and during half way through the setup my video card goes dark and stays dark. Even trying to reboot it stays dark with no picture for some reason. Any thoughts as to whats happening? It's a MP 5,1 with a AMD Radeon R9 280X video card. Also used the Tiny11 downloaded file.
Are you using opencore? you need it for UEFI install of Windows I believe. I am using HDMI port so it could be you are on one of the other ports and until you get the correct driver installed you might not be getting video out of your other ports.
@@MacSoundSolutions I'm using OpenCore.I'm also using HDMI out on my video card. So I'm guessing don't use the HDMI out and use the DVI output and it maybe able to get a video signal out?
can't sleep..im gonna put my 256 gb ss Polaris in Lance,and just go up to os Monterey, no open core, and see if windows 11 will open up, without having to install the wifi driver, to make it open up, then all be able to go to the last step.install gpu drivers,,,I beat this works..open core makes it hard to have wifi, to open 11 when it starts booting
@KlausKrog You can reach out to the developer on his website, maybe just try pro then upgrade? I will try it on my 2012 MBP soon. You should be able to mount your efi with Opencore and see if the Microsoft folder is in there.

To make it th default just select the Mac OS drive in system prefs startup disk and it will always boot into Mac OS

After an unsuccessful installation, save the log (File -> Save Log). I'll take a look. Use the updated version 6.2.0 (updated yesterday).

Why not install graphics drivers with bootcamp?
@daviddaniel1001 I believe AMD version is a more current driver then the 6,1 bootcamp.

sorry to say it dit not work with windows 11 Enterprise LTSC. When you restart you cannot chose windows/efi only boot into mac
