A fantastic ambassador for Ireland. Thank you Pierce!
As an Irish person this really made me smile. Pierce grew up about 35 minutes from where I live, funnily enough, and he always seemed like a cool dude
I've been all over the world, and my favorite trip was the one I made to Ireland in 2019. Absolutely cannot wait to go back. The people were the most friendly and real of anyplace I have ever been. I will return many, many times!
That's wonderful to hear, Mary! Where on the island of Ireland did you manage to see?
Yes, same here. I've traveled to a lot of Europe, Canada and Japan...but Ireland 6 times. (soon to be 7, when travel restrictions lift)
@@discoverireland County Donegal, Ardara, Wild Atlantic Way, then Galway, Dingle, Ring of Kerry, Cong, Kilkenny. All was so lovely, just wonderful!
We're looking forward to the day that we can welcome you back, Henry! Do know it'll be with open arms and full hearts. 💚
Wow, it sounds like you had a wonderful time indeed! 💚
Like you Mr Brosnan, a true gentleman you are, my favourite Bond of all time, I have never been to Ireland but its on my wishlist, my husband is from England but spent many years working in Ireland, so while we enjoying sunny SA, as soon as its safe to travel Ireland is our top place to visit🙏👍💃🥰
We can't wait to give you a warm welcome to the Emerald Isle, Sade! We're only a message away if you ever need any tips or suggestions. 😊
Love your name, please come and visit. Great country for road trips and going off the beaten path. Three or four seasons in one day add to the magic.
if he spent his first 11 years as a boy in Ireland, it will always be his magical homeland, like Tír Na nÓg :)
We loved our visit to Ireland and we definitely look forward to going back one day
That's wonderful to hear, we hope to be able to welcome you back in the future too! ☘️

My favorite land , my happy place ,,,a lot of history there ....The Cliffs and looking out to sea is mesmerizing , the people ....so engaging......my O'Donnell and Ryan roots lay there ❤🍀☘
My favorite Irishman...still looks good! Ireland is beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
just an amazing person is Pierce from the most amazing place on earth
Love you pierce and love Ireland.
Who better to discuss Ireland than one of it’s native sons. Thank you Pierce.
I'm missing Ireland 🇮🇪...can't wait to get back! Cheers, Steve
I miss Ireland too, and i'm from here. Ireland is a shadow of itself due to this lockdown. It's sad to see everywhere closed.
Also Stephen, if you want to gauge how Dublin / Ireland really is these days. Log into Earthcam Dublin, a street that would normally be stuffed with tourists the whole Temple Bar area, and the city itself would usually be buzzing with people. Especially today Friday , the start of the weekend. Like I said , it's sad to see.
Beautiful country, scenery is second to none, people are the friendliest you’ll ever find.
We would agree with your there, Kathleen! Any relation to the man himself? 😉
Who knows, lol-My family is from Co. Kerry.
Any where around the town of Brosna, Kerry?
The best JAMES BOND ever..♥️♥️♥️♥️
I'll second that
My Liverpool Irish family, are all from the town of Brosna, County Kerry!!
Como me gusta Irlanda. Espero poder visitarte pronto.
County Donegal Ireland. I am Irish My family Irish have farm in Donegal Ireland. Well Done Pierce Brosnan. God bless Donegal Ireland.
The Homes of Donegal ☘️
i live in ireland and in kerry its a beatuiful place
An Irish legend 💚💚💚💚💚💚
I left Ireland when I was 24. I love the saying, "You can take the man out of Ireland but you can never take Ireland out of the man"! After 30 years, I still miss Ireland like crazy!!!!
They say that about every place..
Ronnie you're not missing anything..
As an Irish person I would very much like it out of me.
Go back then.
I also left Navan when I was 11, but I was a foreigner moving back to England 1966.
My long-time dream is to visit Ireland.
To write about it and its people (I'm a freelance journalist and author).
I've been listening to Irish folk music for years ("Long Journey Home. The Irish in America" is my favourite album of Irish music; "The Foggy Dew", etc.), and was lucky to meet a few awesome writers when they visited us, here in France: Colum McCann, Paul Lynch, Robert McLiam Wilson... such a great moment to talk with each of them!
A few years ago, I conducted an interview with novelist Thomas Kelly, a New-Yorker from Irish origin whose book, "Empire Rising", deals with the construction of the Empire State Building in 1930 (this interview was made possible thanks to the invaluable help of his French translator).
I've never been to Ireland yet but... I already love it.
Greetings from France
Jérôme
Great place to retire Gerome, just saying...we love it here
No excuse Jerome, hop on a ferry and spend at least a month travelling the road network. You will love it. 🇮🇪🇲🇫
Thank you for keeping our island in your heart! 💚 It certainly sounds like our little island means quite a bit to you, and that truly warms our hearts to hear. We're looking forward to the day that we can welcome you to our shores, so you can experience more Irish culture first-hand.
@@discoverireland Be sure I'd love to, especially if i can be hosted by inhabitants, and not in a hotel...
Staying with the locals is definitely a great way to discover the culture and experience a warm Irish welcome, Jérôme! We hope to welcome you here someday. 🤞☘️
Ireland, so amazing that millions upon millions of Irish people and counting have fled the place.
Beautiful scenery 🥰
Plenty of wonderful land and seascapes all over the island of Ireland, David! 💚
What do I miss about Ireland? EVERYTHING
That is a lovely answer, Maskell! ☘️ What makes Ireland so special to you?
@@discoverireland A difficult question to answer succinctly, but I'll try! Its people, poetry, culture, history, music, landscapes, spirituality, breathtaking beauty, sense of community, geography and geology, weather (yes, weather!!!). Mostly the extraordinary warmth of Irish people.
I miss everything about Ireland too and I live here
That's so kind of you to say! 💚
I miss Ireland too. I am there now. Can't wait to get it back.
Love my heritage
Wonderful. Thanks to Pierce, I found this video. But I wonder why it is so short..
Ireland is a safe country and a lot to know, it has an incredible history and it's people are very friendly.
It depends where you are. Parts of Northern Ireland and Dublin are not very safe.
Dad grew up in Limerick and left with his family at 17. I've visited many times and love Ireland especially the people. I have a lot of family and friends there who are fun to hung with, always have great Craic!

Ireland known as the Emerald Isle of Europe is like no place else in the word.
Simply Stunning! 🇮🇪
Well done Pearce
LOVE IRELAND! My nan was from County Kildare. And it is my dream to go there. The people are fantastic.
We're so happy to hear about your Kildare roots, and we hope we get to welcome you here when we get to travel again. 😊☘️
Éire! ❤️ Tá tú go hálainn! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ 🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪
Amazing ❤️❤️
We would agree with your there, Otis! ☘️ Do you have any favourite spots?
I also left when I was 11. Limerick and I go back every few years.
But as my Father said when we left - wherever I go, I'll always be Irish. 🇮🇪💚
Great video. As a Navan man myself, here's to you pierce 🍻 ☘️
My Nan was a Navan girl. Left Ireland at 21 with my Grandad, a Mayo man, to settle in England. I'm so proud of my Irish roots 😊🇮🇪
My mother and most of my family are
from Ireland🇮🇪. Pierce Brosnan is definitely right, Irish people🇮🇪 are the best part.
As an Irish man I love Ireland with all my heart..From Antrim to Kerry..from Galway to Dublin...not forgetting An Clár ( County Clare)... wink! wink!....Great ad..💚☘️
I love Pierce Brosnan. I've adored him always. I'm delighted he is Irish, like myself. 👍
İrlanda görmek istediğim ,bir ülkedir.İnşallah giderim .
I left Ireland at 13! Always wondered what life would've been like is we had stayed. I'm 25 now and sadly lost my accent☘️
Cá bhfuil tú i do chónaí anois a Anthony?
Don’t feel guilty. I am Irish born and bred. When I was 21 I visited my friends in New York for two weeks. I came back saying I’d like a glass of wahder and it’s three thirdy. 😂 😂 😂
@@ChristineKelly1000 I actually live in Rhode island which is across the river from New York, and when I first moved here and started Middle school I would try to imitate to accents of those around me like you mentioned. I found it very funny but I think they were insulted😂
@@itsme-sn5gi I stayed in Queens for two weeks. All the Americans thought my Irish accent was lovely, thank God, because all I could hear when I spoke was Americanisms like changing th sounds in to a d and saying three thirdy instead of half past three. 😂
@@ChristineKelly1000 I always make sure to say time the Irish way. Like 11 minutes to 4 instead of 3:49. But I would say [Ga-raage] the American way. And most other words. My parents tried desperately when I was a teen to stop my Americanism🙃🇺🇸 But I guess now adays I'm more American than Irish. Its funny when you return now everything is so different, I almost feel like a foreigner
Hi i'm from Scotland..the Irish have a fond place in my heart...they are "our cousins" across the water," and the Land, People, Animals, Spiritual beliefs and kindness, are at the heart of all that they are
🧚♂️🧚♀️ MAGICAL 💥💫🦄
Thank you for your kind message, and warm wishes from across the water. 😊
My people… GOD BLESS IRELAND! ✝️🇮🇪❤️
My great great grandmother was from Ireland galway, I would love to visit Ireland we are Irish strong 💪 that's for sure love my Irish heritage
Love him, 💙💙👑👑
What do I miss about Ireland......... (as a child between 1962/66)
Living in Navan in a house along the Boyne Road, playing with friends Paudric and Francis around the Ramparts and the old burnt out Mill. Scrumping apples and pears from different orchards like the one at the Nuns Convent and Healeys orchard on the Athlumney Rd. My friend Joe trying to teach me how to hit a ball with a hurling stick. Fishing on the banks of the Boyne and catching loads of eels and selling them to a lady from Athlumney Rd for thrupence.
Going to the brothers school ‘De La Salle’ in Navan. Being allowed to go to the local cinema to see Dr Who and the Daleks, but on the day of going-falling into a sewer. Picking strawberries for money along the Athlumney Rd and eating far too many and getting sick.
Stepping in the ditch of the railway embankment and stepping on a bag full of jam sandwich’s and full of wasps- stung all over (short trousers in those young days). Days out to Bettys-town, Drogheda, mourne and Wicklow mountains or to the beautiful Glendaloch.
Buying sweets at the Mecca (Mr and Mrs Duncan) and the Bon Bon shop in Navan. Going to the fair on the big car park opposite the Catholic Church.
Thank you Navan for some lovely memories.
Thank you Ireland.
Ireland is a beautiful country people complain that it's cool a rainy and it does a lot but when it gets wheather no country can match it's beauty
Looks the same as England Scotland & Wales to me..
James i fully agree, ive travelled the world and there is nothing more stunning than Ireland on a sunny day. Her colours become so vibrant.
The most beautiful island on Gods holy planet
And now over run with Africans and Muslims.
@@eileenbrazil8039 agree
That's probably South Island in New Zealand, although Ireland is still gorgeous.
Beautiful place..not sure what's happened to Pierce's voice though? He really has notched up his Irish accent for the advert.
Certainly has
I was thinking the same .
Very Wild Mountain Thyme - maybe he's been watching it during Lockdown?
Yes a bit.But he never lost his Irish accent anyway
You mean his original accent comes through when he talks passionately about his homeland.
Happy birthday Pierce Brosnan
My beloved aktor 😇💙💙
His accent has changed a lot. Great actor!
He left at 11 but still kept the accent which is not always the case with child immigrants. You are your ancestors no matter how long that you're away from the mother land.
When he is interviewed in the Us..his accent is American...always.
This is not his old Irish accent. It is put on.
@@eileenbrazil8039 He still sounds Irish even with an American accent
💕💕💕💕
My ancestors are Irish ☘️ I hope to visit someday
Oireland has the best architects!
Life force is the perfect word!
💚🍀
I've been living in the city of Lyon, France for the past fifteen years, a lovely city with many fine things but I will always yearn for my country, Ireland and its people. There is no better place than Ireland and no warmer, energetic or friendlier people than the Irish.
It writes what it wants
Conmell tippm dtippy and dunquin kerry, the blaskets
Be god its a wonderland indeed
My son is named after Pierce Brosnan. My great grandmother is Irish.🇮🇪
.
How wonderful to hear! ☘️
He left ireland when he was 11. So did i . i lost my accent so did he.
Hes an actor.
No offence intended.
Not everyone does though
My friends brother knew him in his twenties and said he has an english accent.
I know! What the hell was that weird accent?😂
He has an American accent when intervied in the US..
@@eileenbrazil8039 i lost my irish accent. He puts it on. Hes what we call a plastic paddy.
From Navaaaan ,but😇
I visit Ireland first in the eighties on a boat on the river Shannon. I visit Ireland in the nineties alone backpacking. I was in Ireland in the new century with a house i my girl friend. In the twenty ten I rend a house 🏡 n Kerry for my own family. Now I'm divorce and old i will return for holidays in Ireland. Time and life is passing by but my love ❤️ to the emerald Island stay.
Athlone Cork I myself am from Ireland 🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪
😊😊😊
The one thing Pierce Brosnan Discovered when he visited Ireland is that he can always leave again.
He’s still too cool for school.
Go visit Navan. It deserves it.
👍👍👍👍👍🗽
Video is too short, need to see more to excite people to go there.
Take a look at the rest of our UA-cam channel for more Ireland videos, Thanh! bit.ly/2lVGRo7
Doesn't he live there now?
No. Malibu, California.
I would have preferred Liam Neeson from Ballymena :-)
Or Chris O’Dowd from boyle
Neeson has retained a genuine Irish accent, but has lived abroad for years so appropriate.
"Whats not to love about Ireland?"
The 70s
why do I feel like his Dr Fate role in Black Adam will be his last role before going back to Ireland?
If it wasn't for the weather, lots of people would have stayed.
Clonmel
Navan
Of course he loves Ireland. It'd be more shocking if he endorsed England.
i want a red hair girl so im moving to ireland, lol
His accent is to Ireland what Steve mcclaren's accent is to Holland 😂
One day my visits won't be for vacation but for immigration, I'm certain...
But pierce you don't have a home in Ireland! Lol, I take it that Hawaii and Malibu weather is a little better.
He should get a hug even though his family were blood trusty barbarians like all Kerry men
Pearce Bronson is so false When he is In Ireland he puts on the Irish accent when he leaves he back to his U S A accent
I'll send you the count of corky kingdom
Does he need the cod Irish accent? I know he's Irish originally, but this is not his authentic voice. Probably not even the accent he had in his childhood.
Hang on a second here. Where's the suave English accent gone ?
God, he really exaggerated his Irish accent for this paid ad.
Wow, that's what happens with no make-up.
His accent always comes ooouut 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Leave when your 11 and you might aswell not be from there
