    This is Marlo in real life. I trip the fuck out on how 50 is overlooked not just as an artist, entrainment is a fickle game, but as a man. He's one of the most ruthless calculated disciplined and consistent guys I've ever seen. He thrives of aggression and anger but channels it in an almost military like fashion. Shit G-Unit is literally that. A Unit. No mainstream rapper dead or alive can touch 50's background. Respect due to Tupac who was an icon and renegade, and Biggie who's skill and swagger shaped an era but put 50 alone in a room with anybody in the game and he's the one walking out.

    • @AceDotCosta
      @AceDotCosta 9 років тому +17

      Yeah when I look back at the Wire, Marlo always reminded me of a darker 50 Cent, with a twist of Tony Soprano because of his love for Pigeons. I always make correlations between the two. Especially when Marlo came in and took over the co-op lol gotta give 50 his props, usually when you are true to your core, the people in the environment will love you, but after awhile they turn on you because you refuse to adapt to the new way of doing things.

      Jay-z, Drake, j.cole, dre, pac, rick ross, diddy, meek mill, 21savage, prodigy, ti are the rappers who express themselves the best, who are the most cultivated and woke.
      But Jay-z is the best you can see why beyoncé love him when you watch his interview .. He has the best sense of humor, he is smart, ambitious, audacious, hard working, well spoken and he is a gentleman, a leader, a visionary and of course very talented.
      I always find it funny when people say that he sold his soul to the devil or he is an illuminati lol, the man is just a genius, watch his interview then watch Nas, Wayne, Eminem or DMX, its clear that he has more qualities than them, these guys are great artist but they are not smarter, they are not leaders, they are not visionary, they are not as well spoken as him.
      When you watch Jayz, 50cent, Dr.Dre, Master p, Diddy or Drake interview you can see why they are so succesful this illumaniti shit is pathetic.

    The interviewer had no idea that Curtis '50 Cent' Jackson was as intelligent as he is. Here's a list of the masterful points he makes about the Laws of Life: 1. Limitations of Fear 2. Destroying the Competition 3. Being Aware of Fear 4. Living Without Regrets 5. Going The Extra Mile (Predator vs. Prey) 6. The Power of Visualization 7. Perception 8. Power of Intention 9. Power of Being You
    (watch how calmly and confidently he answers each question - enjoy this master class!)

He is clearly a very intelligent guy. Bought his book the 50th Law and again, REALLY impressed with the content. His last deal just made him $100m apparently and you can see why. 50 Cent is no smarter then the regular black guy working a 9 to 5 job, the only difference is risk he followed his dream he did not let fear or doubt in, that's why he is successful today you can't avoid competition without success because who want's to be a failure so other people do shit on purpose sometimes so you can fail. You can read all the book's in the world and still be poor what separates the two is action. No action no results period.

    I never had many rolemodels besides a rapper or two or a favorite wrestler or a fav magician or something but never truly resonated with them.. but 50 cent has always stuck out to me as someone I admire.. even though we are 2 diff race of people, and our circumstances were in some ways very different and in some ways similar... I just appreciate his gangster and yet his intelligence and grace on the other hand. He's someone I know who probably has had many humiliating and difficult situations but he just grins past them, and most of those we will never see because we see this confident, tough, successful rapper/entrepreneur/mogul/gentleman that seems to have it all figured out.

    The last point he makes is the greatness and weakness of a lot of people - because some of us are loved for who we are, and some of us are loved for who they're pretending to be... But the latter falls greatly because you can only pretend for so long and after your true character comes out, your credibility has little possibility of redemption.

      +filmgirlLisa To a children's audience "don't want to" and "scared" mean the same thing.

      +lifestraight I don't agree. A strong, confident kid saying "I'm not gonna fight you" would not be seen as weak. It's all about the confidence of the choice. And about how people thought of him before that.

    • @lifestraight
      @lifestraight 9 років тому +1

      filmgirlLisa I disagree. Children are often very cruel and not very mature. Kids don't always think intelligently. If they see someone consistently avoiding fights a lot of kids will illogically rush to the conclusion that "He's scared to fight. He a punk." Especially if it's in the hood.

    I'm not a big fan of 50cent the rapper, but Curtis is truly intellectual. I like this guy, he's well spoken and carries himself well. Damn the rap image. . .

    I like this interview. I've seen a few interviews of 50 cent and he's a soft spoken and seem gentle guy. He's quite bright and business savvy. I ended up buying his book, 50th Law. I'm looking forward to reading it.

    Love this. I actually think that he is the most intelligent hip hop/rap artist that ever did it. I say this because he built his empire in no time. He did what it took jay z and P diddy years to do in no time. Very intelligent in my opinion.

    @4:03 this is the truth and it's unfortunate but cannot be denied. You can't just "take the high road" in a hostile environment. You have to make it clear that you will go further than they person looking to take advantage of you.

    Honest talk. 50 to me is like you say, a guy who if you look at skin deep you can make judgements and think hes some big dumb just tough guy. 50 is way to intelligent and thought out to be anything but a very smart person. The guys success goes way beyond rap, and his constant analyzing of the future or possible future leads me to believe he might be borderline genius. He may not be book smart, he may be, our schools are garbage and that has nothing to do with IQ.
