Great tip that I'm definitely gonna use, but isn't a 200kcal serving of peanut butter 2 tablespoons? Still gonna try it with 2 tablespoons per bar but do you have a high calorie peanut butter or something that you use?

Larabars are around 200 calories and made with whole ingredients but not as cheap. Also, not exactly the same, but cream of rice has saved me from school sucking my time away by eating a quick 300 calorie bowl of carbs that you can make in 2 minutes and eat in under 5. Plus, it’s fortified with vitamin D and calcium so you’re getting nutrients that you’d have to eat a lot of in whole foods to get the same amount. Add the peanut butter to the cream of rice to get those fat calories but probably won’t be able to eat it as fast as the bars

Slick I commend you for this incredibly useful tidbit. I just tried this out for myself using a protein bar. I lathered it in PB and sucked it down with a glass of milk, I even timed the whole thing because knowledge is power. raw eggs (shout out to Vince Gironda and all the goden era greats) (free range, best quality you can afford)
    scoop(s) of vanilla whey
whole milk (grass-fed if you can afford it)
heavy cream (add more for more calories)
    nutmeg
It's clean as can be, all complete animal proteins and good fat (with better ratios if you get grass-fed). Only as many carbs as you want. Replace the milk with more cream or water for less carbs. Add honey or sugar if you want more. It's basically a bulking milkshake. You can drink thousands of calories in minutes.

@@0o6t61 Also plant based lifter replying here: There are "vegan protein powders", but they tend to be expensive. The three easiest ways I've found to get protein are: Using peanut flour as a whey substitute; it's cheap, it mixes well, doesn't need to be cooked, and it tastes pretty good on its own. Homemade seitan, also cheap and easy to make. I can make 800-900g protein worth of seitan in a few hours and then portion it out for the rest of the week, and beans are great. Beans and rice is super easy to make, you just soak the beans overnight and then cook them in a skillet for 30-45 minutes, any Mexican grandmother can tell you how important beans are. This Bugez tip is actually pretty solid, I'll be trying it myself.
Bench ~300ish, Squat ~450, Deadlift ~500 at ~220lbs, but I'm by no means an athlete or elite lifter. Most pro bodybuilder/lifter will be on gear regardless of their diet, so it doesn't really matter: Barny Du Plessis, Bill Pearl, Clarence Kennedy, Patrik Boboumeian etc. There are a lot of other elite athletes who are vegan as-well, just google "vegan athlete" and you'll see names you'd recognize.

I’m sitting here eating peanuts and raisins as I watch - they’re a super cheap super nutritious high calorie high protein snack that’s easy to down. 1000 calories a bag and eating it is effortless and it’s all super good for you.

I’m simultaneously trying JM Blakly’s dirty bulk diet and the Mike mentzer/ Dorian yates style of training. The two in combo made sense for bulking given the super compensation cycle, on both sides. Fast food is a great way to get 2k cals in quickly but I’m gonna give people a great tip- taco pizza. Get a pound of bison meat, cook in taco sauce. Put that and 8 ounces of cheddar on a pizza dough, and you get 3k calories with about a 100/200/300 split of fat/protein/carbs. If you can eat one of those a day you’re golden.
(I’ve also personally found soda right after the workout to be a good bulk addition)

Not entirely sure but for me the sugar in the soda never seemed different from the sugars in the mass gaining shakes or just even eating carbs after the gym. The additional benefit is they can help digestion by promoting burps, which I’ve found helpful when I’m trying to crush big meals
