    Thanks! I tried using a screwdriver method but found this method with pliers was super easy.

      I don't have needle nose pliers so I had to use screwdrivers and needle nose vice grips won't work

    Positive! Cleaned my wheels … NEGATIVE opened the shit up and the spring launched the black joint into my fucking eye and saw shapes and colors and grey for half an hour and felt that shit in my skull. Not your fault 😂 just careful guys when it’s time to remove the one wheel( the second one attached with major metal rod) .. lmaooo😂 I’m a dumbass but tysm exact chair model and helped me sm!!! ❤❤❤

    Thank god I found your video before I could even ruin every wheels trying to figure out how to take it apart!! Thank you soooo much!

    Excellent! This worked perfectly. If you want the chair to roll freely, remove the spring (near the end of the video). The spring is responsible for the "safety braking" which is totally not required or desired.

    An alternative way that works in the same manner is two thin metal bars and a tapered wedge driven between the inner faces . . . BUT . . . whichever way, this is by far the safest method to use and less likely to damage the plastic "wheels". A good educational video!

    Good video , I would also suggest adding a little 3 in 1 oil , WD-40, Axel Grease or any good lubricant on the metal rod that holds the wheels to keep it lubricated and cut down on friction . You can scrape the wheels surface that touches the floor with a utility knife to remove any imbedded dirt and grime and make them smooth again and add a little 3 in 1 oil on the surface of the wheel so they will glide better., that's how I done to the wheels that I have cleaned and fixed :) Thank you and God bless :) 😁👍🥳🛼

      Is there a non-stick material that you can wrap around wheels to prevent them from picking up dirt and grime?

    5:00 that's a OHS safety feature, it prevents the chair from rolling backwards as you sit down.

    This worked great. Instead of needle nose pliers, I used a pair of wire cutters which provided more leverage. I also rotated the wheel around little by little to exert pressure all the way around.

    Mine weren't very dirty, however the wheels were very stiff, no matter how much I cleaned or tried wd40 etc, they were still too stuck to spin nicely.
    When the wheels were separated from the base core they Would spin perfectly, but as soon as I clicked them back in they were too stuck, it looked like I might have clicked them too close, after about 30 mins of trying to get perfect position to click in for them to spin... I failed, so I gave up and just took out the springs, and now they all spin perfectly, and it rolls like a charm as if it was brand new .

    Would you like to know how to remove the wheel from the base of the chair?

    I Have a question the little plastic thing where the spring goes has 2 holes on it.. mine i did it but instead i use the other hole and now the wheels roll easily… is it wrong ?

    • @pierre5775
      @pierre5775 2 роки тому

      I did the same, now it's fine. Take care that the ass of the chair does not touch the ground then. It happened to me, so I put 3*5 ball bearings (6mm diameter) in the hole where wheels are inserted to raise the chair.

    This is great! My wheel doesn’t have a spring how do I get the second side off?

    • @SaxJockey
      @SaxJockey 3 роки тому +2

      Most do not seem to have the spring. To get the second wheel/axle out, people often tap the axle with a mallet (rubber/wood) to free it from the plastic base. The axle and wheel should then come out. The axle is a tight/interference fit with the plastic base (the axle has a knurled surface to grip the plastic).
