this song in my opinion is the definition of perfection, it is beautiful, intense, devastating, and everything in between. It deserves more recognition, matt deserves more recognition in general
I think I love the audio from this recording more than the official one. Don't get me wrong the original is still great and has this amazing theatrical and impactful feel, but something about this one - the raw, unaltered power of both his playing and singing - just feels so intense and flooded with emotion. Like when you're finally alone and can destress after a long week of being dragged around to help with a million different things, you finally have the freedom to just get everything out of your system that you've been holding in and keeping you tense. It feels so natural and real, and I hadn't realized you can't find much music like this that's able to replicate such a deep connection to raw human emotion. Thank you for uploading this wonderful gem and giving Matt more exposure of his genius and creativity 💙
