  • #tractor #plowing Using my Kubota BX tractor to plow my neighbors out on Christmas Day. Plowing 3 separate driveways! The longer the video goes on the deeper the snow gets! By the end the snow drifts are nearly 4' tall I'm guessing! I also run into a huge bolder with my FEL while plowing the 2nd driveway which woke me right up! #xmas #snow

    With all of the snow you get I'm surprised you don't have a front mount blower.

    You're right, that was a lot of snow. Is there heat in your cab? It's amazing how much snow these little sub compact tractors can push even though they have the ever-so-maligned R4 tires. I have the JD 1025R with a 66" blade and am amazed what it'll push without spinning the tires. I noticed heavy black exhaust when it was really working. Is the engine getting a little tired. I've kinda been waiting see you trade that tractor in for a size bigger unit like a B2601. Bigger, but not too much, heavier, bigger tires (huge asset), more loader lift capacity and can lift higher.

      Hey Ron, I agree man, I was just telling my buddy that it’s been one crazy winter this year with the huge snow falls and then the huge melts. I’m wondering if we may get pounded again come February because that’s the normal time for us when we will get alot of consistent snow. I guess time will tell!

    Hey Friend, have you run out of places to stack it yet? I wish we had that much, but kind of glad ours is staying in the mountains. Nice job helping out your neighbors.

      @BiffsEquipment  Рік тому +1

      Thanks man, always nice to help the neighbors out! As for the snow banks, we def all were running out of places to put it all until we had a huge melt not too long after and mostly everything melted away, now it’s been a few weeks and they are saying we may get more end of this week. It’s been a pretty wild winter so far. Like you said, sometimes it’s a good feeling when it misses you, specially when it’s this much! Haha.

    Nice work...bring that pusher over so we can widen it out...your tractor can handle more than the 4' pusher you have!

    • @BiffsEquipment
      @BiffsEquipment  Рік тому

      Haha, I already built it wider than 4’ it’s about 52 or 54”. I wouldn’t wanna go much wider tho for mainly those real heavy snowfalls like we got at the start of the season.. if I go much wider it might really start to struggle when we get 2-3’ again of heavy wet snow, but it sure handles the lighter stuff like a boss!

    This is my first winter with a bx. Per your videos recommendations i got an original tractor cab and retro fitred a nice old farmall cub plow to a quick attach plate. Never in my life was I excited for winter and snow like this year. Im in the northeast. We ve had like 2 shitty ice storms that are crap for plowing lol.

    Snow here today. And tomorrow so they say. Do you have any trouble steering with the pusher on ? Was watching a different video with the same sort of tractor and pusher and it seemed like the tractor would just go straight, no matter which way he turned the front wheels.

    • @BiffsEquipment
      @BiffsEquipment  Рік тому +1

      Hey Andy, I usually run the RPMs around 2600-2800 and sometimes 3k if I’m really working it hard pushing those huge heavy wet banks at the end of my driveway.. all depends how heavy the snow is tho how how fast I’m trying to plow.. Hope your having a good winter so far, stay safe’

    When using your snow pusher, do you mostly use float mode?

    • @BiffsEquipment
      @BiffsEquipment  Рік тому

      Hey Scott, good question. I honestly bounce in and out of float ALOT. Infact in a lot of my videos where I don’t add music, like this one and the others where I plow inside my cab you can actually hear when I’m clicking in it and out of float in the videos. If the ground has a nice base I’ll use float more and if I’m driving straight with no hills or bumps.. otherwise I’ll just use float to get my pusher on the ground and then when it’s down I’ll click it out of float for the problem area or while I turn and then once I finish the turn I’ll pop it back into float. Cuz if you stay in float and try to turn, odds are your not gonna turn very well. Thanks for watching!
