Well, sister, not only do I give you a thumbs up every time but I also endure the ads just so I'm helping you. It's the least I can do in appreciation for your soothing content. I want to do my part in helping your channel succeed so you can keep bringing us more of you and all of the good stuff as you remind us to follow our bliss.
I made the egg stew tonight with jasmine rice. My kids cleaned their plates. My son ate all the leftovers. I love these videos. I'm getting a feel for the culture. Thank you.
Loved the stew and Aisha’s cameo, great to see you responding to the G Floyd issue so naturally and not jumping on the band wagon without thought. If you decide to broach it at a time suitable for you we are here to hear you, else your prayers towards the bigger picture will suffice.... Just keep following your bliss.
By the size and look of the vegetables I'm pretty sure it's organic. In the U.S. the same vegetables in the grocery store would be LARGE and tasteless, but the ones from the farmers market or home grown looks like what she purchased.
Mehn you are just living the life, I love it and I really enjoyed the vlog😘✌🏽❤️Ghana Ingredients are always fresh and taste amazing and the pictures in the WAO just beautiful 🥰
Thank you for this video I love this type of content. I love the recipes but more so to see how much things really cost for day-to-day living in Ghana. There’s a lot of different perspectives on daily living in Ghana I understand it depends on the lifestyle you want to live and where you want to live. So please can you show us more about the general area you are in and the difference between going to a market and going to a grocery store. Also if you are growing things yourself what are some of the things you can grow on your compound that produces well and that you can use as they are ripening. Like what trees are preferred as far as fruit trees and when picking trees for your compound are there certain ones that attract more ants and things like that? I know it’s a lot but these are some of the questions I’m having and I just thought I would throw the video ideas out there if it’s something you would be interested in. Again thank you so much and I do love egg stew God bless you
I love your videos, I’ll have to try this 💕 as Ghana has some of the most fertile soils on the planet I’d buy the local rice, and support local businesses. I’m sure the nutritional value would be much better too, so well worth any extra cost. 🌸
I cook this often for myself but I'm a white American woman. I love it!!! Easy to cook and it is healthy as well! The ginger and onions as super foods! And tomatoes are great for your eyes! I believe many people all over the wold have a version of this dish! Be blessed and thankful for the channel! Good luck always
AMA, I forgot to give you this tip. When buying from Ghanaian markets, avoid taking a seller as your customer. Vary the people you buy the same commodity from everyday as much as possible. A constant customer in any commodity will initially give you good bargain for some time. He or she will start cheating you later.
Traveling to Ghana 🇬🇭 next year, moving my way thru the continent. Your videos has truly helped me with seeing similarities in Jamaica cuisine. You have gained a new subscriber thanks again
Keep the local market shopping vlogs coming. Loving them totally. I draw so much inspiration from them and your approach to living economically in an expensive city. Your vlogs reminds me so much of why it is unnecessary to spend silly money in shopping malls, when for a fraction of the price, you can get quality ingredients to cook nutritrious meals in the local markets. As well as boosting the local economy for the average market woman. Preach on girl. I am converted!!
THANK YOU SISTER, AS WELL AS US STANDING UP AND COMING TOGETHER OURSELVES HERE WE NEED YOU. HAPPY TO HEAR YOU SPEAK ON THE SITUATION AND HAPPY THAT YOU CARE.❤️✊🏿✌🏿❤️🙏🏿
I love the egg stew...just watching this made me so hungry 😊. Only suggestion we want to see more of the market area, if possible to show it next time.
I've never been to the continent but I call it home. When I tell ppl im going home they think im talking about New Orleans but I let them know, NO, IM TALKING ABOUT THE MOTHERLAND, AFRICA.
Hello Jasmine! You are correct, the markets in Ghana can be quite hectic, but each time I have been there, I love it. My boyfriend lives in Ghana and I visit him there often and going to the market is one of my favorite things to do. Also, egg stew is one of my most favorite dishes! My boyfriend taught me how to prepare it. He makes it a little different and we add smoked fish to it as well. Since I returned to the States, I've made it like 10 times....lol
I love watching the price comparisons. hey,, Jazmine ,,,its my first time on your channel, actually really loved everything , i have my fiance who is from your country Ghana i live in US , and I'll be there soon ,,,blessings...
I have been to Ghana. Its a nice country. I live in Panama now. Panama reminds me of Ghana. You don't need to travel all the way to Africa to live the same lifestyle. Panama is pretty much the same. For the average North American, this life style is a little crude. They bore easily. They cannot tolerate it for very long. They move back to the US. No matter what anyone says, most folks get bored of living a minimalist lifestyle. It's a life that only a few Gringo's can acclimate too. I find the lifestyle to be less stressful and I have adapted to it. Been in Panama for a very long time. If you want to live a modern lifestyle and have modern housing in Ghana I would imagine it would be pretty expensive. It is in Panama.
Am from Jamaica and I have been eating eggs like that since I was a child. It's my favorite way to have eggs. And it's now my kids favorite. It's a comfort food
Oh wow, I didn't know people were doing their eggs like that in Jamaica. You surprised me. I'm impressed. My mother and I are going to do this too, wow!
I am a Jamaican I see no problem with this black sister and what she is doing we need to see more like her...some black people's don't like seeing their own people's make ends meet...you are doing good sister
The Colours of those egg yolks are so rich, you know they are organic. I remember growing up in Jamaica and that's how the eggs, looked when you cracked them open.Organic fruits and vegetables doesn't look appealing because they do not have man made fertilizer in them.
Love your cooking videos (I like the others too). I enjoyed seeing you going to the market to source the ingredients too. If I can made a few suggestions: Can you perhaps go to artisan producers (or even factories) to show how ingredients like coconut oil, palm oil , peanut butter is made? Or perhaps take a trip to some farms (tomato, pepper, beans, rice other vegetables) as well - so we get a better snapshot of the farm to fork linkages. I'm in London and I see for example 'Ghana Taste' peanut butter (which is far better quality than main mullti-national peanut butter brands - as it is natural without added sugar or palm oil). Linking up with food manufacturers will also give them greater exposure (and opportunity for increased sponsorship for you too) . Keep up the good work. God bless you and yours.
Jasmine Ama Ahuofe wo ho te Sen ? I like this your beautiful and special cooking keep on teaching us more ,I learn more from u ,keep on thank u Ahuofe 😘
When you do your shopping, please do not use the plastic bags the merchants give you, but use reusable bags. unfortunately Ghana, like all African countries, are not able to recycle plastic and it is becoming impossible to swim on your beaches because it is so polluted.
You have to invite me over so I can test the food for you to see how delicious its but I believe your cooking ....nice one bring more on board You made me missed home Ghana my beloved country
You are showing us the beauty of GHANA you share your life living in this beautiful African country and some of us will decide to move back and leave the racism that we face , God bless you jasmine

I was just thinking the same. I am so jealous lol. I've wanted to move to Africa since my 30s and I'm now 53 😞
The economy is pretty bad in Ghana try south africa or Zimbabwe
Well, the produce seems to be inexpensive.
In Africa, you can breathe.

Please jasmine, can u let ur viewers know that, those are real organic vegetables etc.lol
You can't really be sure they're organic.
I like the word......real organic.......because what they call organic in the west here is actually not organic.
