Just got this in the blue colour for 45 pound used after watching your other video I stripped it down to give it a good clean and now looks brand new..
Cool review and cool watch. I looked up the specs, it uses two 927W silver oxide batteries. I really don't like high drain batteries like that at all because high chance of battery leaking and there are two of them. Battery membrane is thinner in high drain batteries to allow more power for functions like Alarm and Lights. The UV LED probably uses a lot of power. You can use SW low drain version, but, it will probably only last 10-12 months vs. 2 years. The Renata 927W in my Aerospace leaked so now big repair cost when I eventually send it in. The battery leaked and corroded the battery contacts and parts of the circuit board as well. Putting High Drain silver oxide batteries in a G Shock seems like including a high failure part in an otherwise super reliable movement. Shame it is such a cool looking watch.
I have recently purchased GA1000. Love the watch. While exploring the various combinations of buttons, mode+adjust+light buttons makes the seconds hand stop, digital display of time disappears, and TL appears in the digital display where normally day of week is shown. Time keeping operations is on, as the minutes hand moves every ten seconds while there is TL in the display. Pressing mode+adjust+light buttons again make the watch in the normal mode. What is the meaning of TL? There is no mention of this in the manual. Curious.
That is called the 'Test Screen' mode. Usually there to show us the background details information about the watch, to test if every part of the display will lights on or not, to test the autolight feature. Every Casio & G-Shock watches have this feature. Check my module demonstration video to see how they looks like on different models.
The GA-1100 just has the longer duration of the compass. The sensor is the same as well as the battery life. The module of the GA-1000 lived on in the GG-1000 Mudmaster in modified form.
@@gshockhighfashion if you flip the GA-1000 upside down, you'd see that the screens and the mode wheel are in exactly the same place as on the GG-1000. They just changed orientation of the screens and added the single LED instead of neobrite for the mudmaster.
gshock highfashion thanks heaps. Now I have to think hard whether to buy or not. Is this a hardy watch that goes without problems? And last a long time?
+Americanblood76 I just convert the curency using google or currency exchange apps. The rate is always changing man. Not exactly true but roughly 100usd = 10,000jpy
what range man is on your wrist in this video? can you review it? never mind i just got to the end of the vid...you don't care for customized pieces? almost all of my collection is are at least slightly customized as i don't plan on re selling any of them.
I really enjoyed your every single video man, btw i'm planning to get 6900 series between BC and HR, what do you think, which one best? Are they limited models?

Why Casio don't do the solar power battery in this model

Can i use any other batteries for this then?
hi can you make a video showing how to remove the band and bezel on ga1000
Pretty tricky. Maybe next time I'll made them. I already sold the one I own.

@@gshockhighfashion Thanks.
For real compass users, the graduations/grads around the bezel are really handy!

I see, no wonder they function very similarly

I don't know why they didn't put solar in this one. I've seen cheap cheap models with solar. I'm getting the gwa1100. in orange instead.
It's supposed to be the entry level model. That's why.
I am thinking of buying one. For the long run, Can this model be maintained, repaired?
The replacement parts for this model is pretty hard to get. Thus, it won't be cheap to be fixed.

I’m having trouble understanding Yen to dollar. 9,999,999 is how many dollars. I’m getting 8000 is this correct?

Get the HR first then get the BC. That what I would do at least. HR is more limited
my brother has this same watch in orange colour with orange band this is g shock aviation
That model is a lot more rare than this though. Good stuff
Hi sir can I add you on Facebook?
I rarely in there but sure can.
I auta dislike this video just for that intro
but I'll be nice
Too big
If you add padding around a wrist watch, it happens. Surprise surprise.
