this song is about overcoming addiction, beating depression, it’s about moving on from traumatic experiences, leaving an abusive place/relationship, growing up, achieving your goals.
Whenever you get what you want, part of you feels melancholy for that horrible, but familiar feeling you used to feel.
Always how I thought of it
This is how I feel after being in 3 toxic relationship in a row. I got accustumed to it and found it weird after being free from that. It´s been a while and I´m still lonely, as if people suddenly lost romantic interest in me after I decided to put boundaries. I was comfortable in that chaos.
It sure does feel like that. Despair is so addictive and once you get out of there, you are aware that you’re better but you don’t feel better because of how familiar it used to be.

But the crown and its temptations draw him towards the world of ooo that he finds so alienating almost as if hes supposed to be Ice King. This song is that final doubtful thought of his own existence.

This song makes me cry. Because its like a kid leaving a dysfunctional home, growing in a more loving enviroment and now not knowing how to react or feel about it.

I think this song is supposed to represent Simon perspective. And what he sees the world s. And I think this would be seen as more of a care Simon song than a Fiona and cake song.

It doesn't really confirm it, I believe that's just saying another way of "miniseries," which is what this was confirmed to be. Though they can always change that, as Infinity Train was originally a miniseries, but got three more seasons.

I dont know how to explain that i relate to Simon and this song so much as ive come into being an adult it really does feel like now "im just a normal guy" Im not the kid whos dreaming of going to places that no longer exist . im the one creating the places that dont exist . and im no longer a part of the intense emotions of my youth. no longer part of the madness, just a normal guy .
I've just finished the show in a night. I don't know how to describe but seeing characters grown made me reaally nostalgic. The fact that I still fear the same characters and love the same ones just showed the fact that I might be all grown now but I am still the same kid that watched the Finn and Jake.
