Leave it to the professionals, as they say.
Good thing I and my BM didn't listen to the staff to go take our seats and rather get a good shot of our girl dancing in the show.
Had we listened and obeyed staff, we would've been the ones "shot"
To Tfrod 17, More, please?
I feel sorry those affected it looks scary
This is why I watch them on Tv safe at home ☝️
I was there. My dad was two seats away from being hit by one of these. It was one of the most traumatizing experiences of my life.
As someone hit by debris lit and unlit it happens. But the risk is having the crowd on the field. They are too close.
@@kayoss8787 I've been burned by debris from Ariel being shot off by my neighbors in the city. I was not involved in their firework display I was just out doing my own thing in my yard
This is actually the most comprehensive report on this incident that I've seen so far. The reporter is being very professional I've seen a few newscast on this subject were the anchors were actually laughing while they were talking about it
Nice lawsuit there. B
I honestly think it was just a freak accident. I don’t think it was anyone’s fault or negligence. And they ARE doing everything they can to make it right!
@@AaronNickolas7 I totally agree.
@@luanagardner1815 I have a relative who works for a pyrotechnic company. They religiously check those fireworks more than once before every show. BUT, unfortunately, no one can plan for unpredictability… sometimes things happen. Our world is not perfect. Accidents happen. People get hurt. Unfortunately, that’s exactly what happened. The unpredictable happened.
@@AaronNickolas7 I totally agree with you. That's exactly what I was trying to say. I probably just didn't communicate very well.
I was there and I watched it happen!
same
Maybe instead of calling it stray fireworks you could call it some. people didn't do their job and I guess it mattered
The firework literally went straight up and took a left turn into the crowd. You rtards are so quick to blame someone for a freak accident.
I guess ticket prices will go up next year after the lawsuits are settled.
Make sure to take your fire jackets, helmets and safety goggles next time.
My guess for the malfunction is the jet turbine air push the fireworks back
That's what I think too but I guess they have weigh that in the investigation but I think it was the strong wind from planes a accident if course but scary
Great point. “Caution wake turbulence.” If it’s enough to throw a 737 around, it certainly could have redirected some fireworks.
The jets did go over exactly over it nakes wonder if the wind from the jeta was more powerful then they thought cause the fireworks to go another direction
Very smart!
Every time I've gone to a large firework display, civilians are stopped a couple hundred yards from where they set them off. Not up close and personal like this. Surprised it took them this long to injure someone when they get them right up near them. Idiots will be idiots I guess.
That firework was like a firework that got tipped over during 24th of July in Salt Lake in 2010. Shot some towards the crowd up close. My ex and I had our first baby boy a few months old and we grabbed him and got out of the way.
This is why you don't use whistle to salute inside the stadium if It was used out side then nothing would've happened or don't use whistle to salute use both individually whistle and salute I've have several problems with whistle to salute
I've used quite a few of these cakes and they like to go Rouge ad these are basically rockets
@@lucky_13_pyro Yeah, this was my thought too. I've also noticed an increase with some of these cakes in recent years. I think the quality has declined. We had a whole cake explode during a show a few years ago.
I always thought that firework shows were supposed to have some level of physical barrier between the audience and from where they shoot off the fireworks.
I wouldn't watch fireworks from an enclosed area. Could start a fire inside stadium then people panic and get trampled. We do it over a big river here, and I've been to many over lakes. Seems the safest for me.
there was two fires but we didnt have to evacuwate
Who made them?
The other commenter brings up a great point. The jets passing low overhead could have caused what the aviation industry calls “wake turbulence.” If it’s enough to throw a 737 around (they’ll often delay takeoffs by 30-45 seconds if a large plane flew overhead recently), it certainly could have redirected some fireworks. Fire department can do their investigation, but they probably need to ask some pilots.
Prescient name, "Stadium of Fire."
Nsu2112. A hot pressing issue.
i was there
Accidents happen to even the very best!
Malfunctioning happens with everything no matter how many times it works right. Just like a SIG P320 or a Glock. Or a semi truck having brakes
Basically, cancel the fireworks companies contract!!! Get someone who knows what they are doing! Steller? You dont know your business!
It was an accident.
They DO know what they're doing. Accidents and unexpected things happen to even the very best!
They could have done everything right and the manufacturer just gave them a faulty product. Fireworks malfunction, the audience usually just doesn't notice.
@@Indylimburg oh, they noticed.
@luanagardner1815 and when it happens, they get out of the business. Sorry about your LUCK, but Steller SUCKS!
Someone is gonna sue
Dear PitBull 4000, ... Not the dancer who presents as a peppy workaholic, will later do a Biles "twisty" and sue the organizers. No, it's not happening.
what city?
provo utah
Makes me curious about Stellar's latest DEI rating...
😱😱😥😥🙏🏻🙏🏻
The crazy thing is that most of the people there is probably going to be terrified to sue byu, because everyone there was probably Mormon and BYU is owned by the church
Why would anyone sue byu? It wasn’t THEIR fault. They don’t own or operate the fireworks. They were just the venue. I don’t think it was the fireworks company’s fault either. It was just a freak accident that no one could have seen coming. I honestly don’t think suing is necessary. The fire marshals WANT to help! I am sure the firework company would be glad to help pay for any medical expenses. No one wanted this to happen. And those in charge ARE taking responsibility…
@@AaronNickolas7exactly
@@AaronNickolas7 do you not live in America, you know this country is sue happy..... I bet if BYU wasn't tied to the LDS Church lawsuits will be coming out the woodwork
What a stupid thing to think. This is going to be a heavy lawsuit
@@cameronpage9064 I don’t doubt that. But, I’m also saying, it was a freak ACCIDENT! It was no one’s fault!

I never seen so many white people in one place, in all my life. Wish I was there too.
