- Years after having to give up being a Ranger, Jason Lee Scott, the Red Power Ranger, must deal with the trauma he received from his time as a hero. As well as try to survive, when demons from his past come back to haunt him.

Loved the Green Ranger! Wish we got more of him on this. I think it would have hit more because of JDFs passing. The Actor you got captured those moments so well. That when i saw that Scene of Tommy joking with his friends. I cried... An i really would love to see more of this Green Ranger in part 2. Vs pink going green. That would be a great way to honor JDFs memory
Bruh! I totally agree. The dude they got as Tommy was just used so briefly like why?.. he was good, looked the part, an if you focus on him in that flashback scene... Yup you do kinda cry because it makes you think of JDF. He looks like him no cap! We need more Green in the next one!

I think this just goes to show that there is a desire for a more serious, dramatic telling of the Power Rangers saga. There could be a lot of draw in showing the day to day outside of being a ranger. This was a fantastic effort from everyone involved.

Na... Maybe... Na I just feel it's the original viewers desire to not be old and thus everything they love must age with them. The truth is these shows are created for kids and thus can't be in the realm of adults... You can appreciate it for what it is though.
Serious take on the Power Rangers please make more films
there was a movie with two red rangers and time travel that had a sort of serious tone, i cant remember the name of it though sadly.
Well if you want a more serious powerrangers esque series you can always watch Kamen Rider. As that series is alot more griddy especially the earlier seasons like Kamen Rider Ryuki, Kamen Rider Faiz, and Kamen Rider Kabuto etc. You will just have to read subtitles
Dude i know im not the only one who 😢cried in that flashback moment! Seeing the Green Ranger Tommy in this was so good! You should have used that Dude more! He played the character perfectly! An come on this whole film is like 90% about you 😅 lwt those other Rangers shine too.

This is great. I grew up with Power Rangers and you captured the nostalgia of it
Very, very well done. I have to especially compliment the writing for Jason. Even putting aside the series/fandom focus on Tommy, it seems like a lot of people can't really crack Jason's personality aside from "The Leader" and end up not really using him for much. Even the otherwise excellent Boom comics seem to have this problem. You guys nailed my favorite ranger in a way I haven't seen since Austin played him. My compliments to everybody involved!

I am shocked I haven't stubbled upon this fan film till now. This is seriously the best fan film I've seen. You kept things very true to Power Rangers while giving a very interesting story. And by the end I was rooting for Jason because of the story not just because it was nostalgia or assumed I should care. Seriously beautifully done.
This was the perfect blend of brutality, emotionality, and it’s honestly something that Power Rangers needs more of right now.

Been binging a load of fan made PR movies, this one is easily in the top 3 in terms of production, story and cast. I would probably even rank it a close second behind Joseph Kahns one.

The guy that you chose for Jason was definitely the right choice, and I really hope you consider making more of them with him.
When trying to recreate a series like power rangers (which is already a pretty cheesy show when you look back in it). It's hard to find actors that can give a real gritty take on the story, and they usually come across as wooden or lacking depth.
Jason was played with a real sense of understanding (they all played their parts brilliantly btw), and you could feel the pain and frustration that he was dealing with.
I really hope we see more from your channel, if you had a Patreon you could easily gain funding for a feature length production, especially if you used this film as a demonstration of your skills.

Thank you so much for an AMAZING PR fan film! I grew up watching the original series all those years ago. I think that this film captured what it would truly be like to carry such a burden - especially for Jason as the leader - you can't always end up laughing over a round of beverages at Ernie's juice bar - especially living with constant attacks, etc. It would get to you after a while. Gareth did a fantastic job as Jason, the war-weary leader, feeling as though he was losing touch with the power. I've gotta say that my favorite line is without a doubt: "Hey asshole, It's morphin time!" Absolutely Stellar Job!!!!! Thank you also for providing the hotline information for those who need it, indeed - even in the darkest night, there is always hope!

1. Thank you guys for the unaliving awareness message, fr. Just got outta the Army almost 3 years ago now and have had and still facibg those times, myself included but God sent me who He knew i need to get through it, so thank yall, especially through Jason. He taught me how to be a leader at a young age and mentoring my soldiers came a lot from his leadership style. Yall did phenominal.

it's sad that no matter who makes Power Rangers only the fans ever capture the true tone of how it should evolve. RPM came close and the comics are pretty good

Excellent work. I have long felt that power rangers could have a darker more serious tone and it work well. This further proves that fact . Great character development and storyline, and the Goldar redesign made him genuinely horrifying . I look forward to seeing more .

That was good. I can feel the emotions in it. I got goose bumps when he finally morphed. Only thing that could have made it better is the mmpr them playing when Jason morphed.

Can't get Jason off my mind. I held the green ranger close to my heart. Now there's a whole in my chest. And a persisting ache. Lump in my throat. I know what it's like to lose family...this feels exactly like that. I feel worse for those who knew him. I'm sorry. We are in this together. He left us power.

This is a take on Jason I wanted to see. Nuanced. For years, he always risked his friends' lives with his decisions, never knowing if one of them could be wrong and irreversible. Heavy is the head of the leader.

Yoooooooooooooo this was an amazing fan film I can't wait to watch more that you come up with in this continuity of the power rangers it definitely felt very bombastic for Jason's character as well as the others I got to know them a little bit through their flashbacks and it just hurt a lot
Yeah we didn't have a lot of time that we could dedicate to the other Rangers but we love all of them and tried to convey the amount of deep bond that they all had together so that it's even a harder hit seeing where they are now. :)
You should have used the guy who was The Green Ranger more. It would have ment alot since JDF passed away. Hopefully hes in the 2nd one. He was a great fit and so totally got the character in that small amount of time.

Not gonna lie, I got chills during the "It's Morphing Time" sequence. I loved the exploration into Jason's pysche, and the choreography, wow. It's SO reminiscent of the og series, with the music and over the top moments. Even when it was way more mature and dark, it still managed to keep the feel of the show. Way to go guys! I really hope to see more of this!

Netflix has seasons 1-3 (with a remastered season 1 too). It also has seasons 24-30, and Once and Always.

Just be careful because this red ranger had a nightmare about being the red Mighty Morphin Power Ranger
This has a good idea, but if you're going to do power rangers the martial arts must be superb. It's what sets power rangers apart from anything bad you can say about it. Anyone who is keeping it real knows, the power rangers have excellent karate... This just didn't look believable... But I do see what the idea was going for.
We're sorry you feel that way! The Stunt Choreographer was asked for a much more of a street fight than the highly choreographed martial arts to keep it more grounded and desperate feeling. We understand your viewpoint but everyone on the stunt team does have a very solid martial arts background ❤️

The original 6 have some of the best fight scenes in all of cinematic history... For a true fan like me, it's their entire essence... But you're story could be a great premise... @@redrisingapowerrangerfanfi7592 after really thinking about it, I really enjoy what you did here. True, Power Rangers does have the some of the best martial arts rapid choreography.
But I had to remind myself that this incarnation of Jason was a de powered ranger. Fighting a bunch of aliens without superpowers after you’ve had them for so long can kind of be dehabilitating, very similar to that one Buffy episode in which she loses her powers.

Just a quick question will Kimberly have a ranger slayer type suit and the darkness bow? Only asking cause I liked the idea of using Kimberly for the green ranger. Overall loved the episode honestly felt really good to watch over and over again. Probs to everyone who helped in making this. Looking forward to part 2
