I can't describe how much this helped me! This morning I woke up with a heavy heart because of the fear of losing my salvation. I was worried about this rollercoaster of feeling good about God, but then sinning and thinking I'm condemned. I couldn't really accept what Jesus did for me and the passage John 16:19 + Hebrews 10:19 helped me realize that I was putting trust in my own thoughts and actions and not putting trust in Jesus Johnny you really you clarified! The letter of James is not written to the Church.
*Paul says that man is justified by faith only, without works= Rom 4:1-6/Tit 3:5-7/Eph 2:8,9/Act 13:39
*James says that man is justified by works and faith=Jas 2:24
*in Jas 2:21-23 James is quoting from Gen 22:1-18
*in Rom 4:3 Paul is quoting from Gen 15:4-6
Both speakers are addressing two different groups of people. Paul is addressing the Church and James is addressing the 12 tribes of Israel as in Jas 1:1.
Therefore there is no contradiction to what they both say. But if we say that they are both addressing the Church, there is a contradiction. And we are not (rightly dividing the word of God). As in 2Tim 2:15 King James bible.
*James says, ask if you lack wisdom Jas 1:5
But
Paul says, Christ Jesus became for us wisdom 1Cor 1:30, we don't have to ask for wisdom, we have wisdom in the new man.
*James asks a question in Jas 2:14 , James says = (if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him?), No it can not. Future Israel believers need works and faith to be saved. Future Israel believers must endure unto the end to be saved = Matthew 10:22/Matthew 24:13
*Paul says salvation is Today = 2Corinthians 6:2
In James 4:4, James calls Israel Adulterers.

In Matthew 5:19, (...the least of these commandments...) are (not) the 613 commandments of the law of Moses but the commandments of Jesus in = Matthew Chapters 5,6,7.
The letter of Matthew is not written to the Church.
In Matthew 5:17,18 it does mention the law of Moses but (it never says Jesus came to reinforce the law of Moses). If you keep reading, Jesus is talking about His commandments. Jesus says,( I say), not Moses says. Jesus never commands the believers to keep the law of Moses in these verses,
Some examples = Matthew 5:20/ Matthew 5:22-26/ Matthew 5:28-30/Matthew 5:32/Matthew 5:34-37/Matthew 5:39-42/Matthew 5:44-48
In John 15:10, when Jesus says =(My commandments), He's talking about the commandments that were given to Him by the Father, then Jesus says= (My Father's commandments), which are the 613 commandments of the law of Moses. Jesus commandments and the Father's 613 commandments are some what different.

This made me realized how I was deceived by satan by planting the guilt feeling in me and that made me look away from God, this devil made me believe that I am undeserving of God's grace because I am a sinner. How calming it is to know the truth that I am a child of God and nothing can change that. I am saved by His grace. I am cleansed by the blood of Jesus and he already washed away my sins past, present and future. I am loved and I am worthy. Watching this video has brought things in perspective and he explains things so clearly and precise I thank God for his carefulness with the word , I had to distrust my thoughts when I came to Christ I got to distrust my own thoughts and feelings now as I follow him and have full blown belief in who set me free to begin with with a a powerful arm at times like I get so discouraged because I’m still in the vessel that constantly war against the spirit and I pick up on the negative thoughts that focus on my wrongs than me already being justified I don’t want to spiritually commit suicide because I don’t know who I am in Christ this really is helping me

"shun-dee" this vid helped me to go from a very dark place due to a pastor friend's adultery which caused me to question my salvation and mostly the sinning part. then you reminded me that Jesus's life erased all sins, past, present and future. if i think i have to be sinless to get into heaven then i am mistaken and maybe a little catholic like. i realized that without Jesus, even if i lived sin free all my life, i wouldn't get into Heaven...not without Jesus. you helped me remember that Jesus' life covers and will cover all my sins, past, present and future. thank you for getting me out of a rut.
by the time you got jumped in...wah-ching was in my rear view mirror and i was a youth group counselor in SF and then deacon later. we travel almost the same path. the friend i spoke of about the adultery was actually the one who brought me to Christ in high school hence he fall affected my faith so much. a question was posed to you, "can you trust an adulterer", your answer "no". i feel the same and that brought me to a sad place, we were homies, real tight.
