Before learning about this build, I can't describe the confusion I felt getting domed from across the map from a shotgun. Outrageous build, great video

Paik got a change, so when she uses her AOE spotting gadget, she no longs shows up on the map. That's also why you were constantly getting location revealed under your crosshair, it's her gadget.

Imagine the best dmr actually being a shotgun, short barrel seems to give better firerate but the longer barrel gives faster bullet velo, so maybe that would be better for longer engagements and less drop/leading
Turning unsuitable guns into DMRs is my pet hobby in FPSes, and tbh I didn't notice enough of a difference to warrant the long barrel with the 12M in 2042 - the short barrel makes sense to me as a default since you can hotswap to buckshot when the higher RoF is more useful without needing to also swap the barrel, and it doesn't hurt at all when you're using slugs and not going automatic since the projectile is so slow anyway
I think we would all like a bf4 remaster
They would find a way to fuck that up too lol

Love slug sniping it's how I was challenging myself in bf3 and 4 one of my most memorable kills was taking out an attack chopper from over 400m away.
Pretty much same experience for me. I remember using slug shotgun in BC2 and taking out pilot from attack chopper, good times.
in 2042 this shotgun is capped at 200 meters

They should increase the recoil of shotguns to balance them. It’s like he’s shooting a .22 rather than a 1 ounce slug

@@ALiLSpiderr No it hasnt. They changed all of the 1st person animations in update 0.4.1 (In May) and it broke the positioning of the lasers on all weapons

One of my fav builds in this is LCMG with sub sonic rounds, bipod and 1/4x zoom scope. Just invisible killing machine people have no idea where they are dying from

In real life shotgun slugs are only effective to about 200 yards and that's pretty exceptional.
If you want to try a very similar weapon, but that is actually a DMR, you just have to give a look at the SVK. After the last patch it is a pretty decent gun. Nice video Jack, as always.
Reminds me of the drilling from bfV. I'd get sniped and be so confused until I realized it had a rifle round.

Almost reminds me of slug shotguns in BFBC2, sniping people across maps with only iron sights. Also, give the BSV-M with shortened suppressor and close combat ammo a go.

@@TheoriginalBMT Never used the saiga have you? Sure, it's an ok shotgun after the third shot in CQC, but anywhere past 15 meters and you have to mag dump the drum. Half a mag or more for close-medium range, only two full drums of ammo on spawn total, very Lengthy reload. You have much better efficiency using the vector

Jack it's because there's not enough vehicles in Battlefield 2042. Because people complained so much the developers reduced the amount of vehicles to literally one attack vehicle in every category which the jet's are grouped up with helicopters.
It makes zero sense why jets don't have their own category. It also doesn't make any sense why there's not more than one helicopter on every map.
If you have two helicopters per team you will always see those helicopters going for each other.
If you make the jets separate the jets put pressure on the helicopter.
If you allow two Tank's and one mobile Anti Air vehicle you will see them going for each other first.
Caspian border is nearly the perfect map to play for vehicles because of the amount of vehicles you could use from.
I don't find it very spammy or infantry when there's enough vehicles to attack other vehicles.

Wasn’t the whole problem that you could call in vehicles? The vehicles being only available from spawn screen or on one of your points was better
i used the spas with slugs back in bfbc2 from the wind turbines on heavy metal. outsniped all the snipers due to no bullet drop. good times

I miss the 870, I used to snipe ppl from the carrier just to see how far it could really go. The longest headshot I had with it was 800 something meters and it was one hell of a lob. You could be scoped in with the 8x and still pump another round in which made follow ups easy.

This map is still infuriatingly empty feeling. When you’re in the building with the two escalators and metal structure in the middle, it’s supposed to be a lobby space or office but there are no assets placed that resemble that. It’s an empty floor with some half-assed cover placed. Still disappointed in this game.
BF1 and V had proper furniture inside houses. Even destruction is relatively non-existent in 2042
I was running this when the vid came out just for fun, but I I found out that if you have the phone book suppressor this thing has a comically slow bullet velocity.
I remember doing this in BF4 with the Remington 870 with slugs and a scope playing the role of a counter sniper receiving a ton of hate from the opposing team… good times!!

I love BF2042. I know is “cool” to hate on it but honestly they finally nailed down the gunplay. BF1 was good atmosphere but many hated the gun mechanics. BFV they messed with TTK too much. BF2042 feels like gunplay should feel. Consistent with your expectation of how you handle the guns and movements. Yeah it came out like crap but after 1.2 update is feels good. And season 2 in a few weeks should improve things more.
I agree. I quit BFV after the TTK just couldn’t be bothered to get back and re learn all the guns.
Started playing 2042 again on and off I’m having more fun. Things are stabilizing slowly still more work to be done.
Agreed never really had a ton of fun with BFV. 2042 has its issues but im sure they will eventually fix it

fr bf5 had zero recoil and felt like call of duty. gunplay in 2042 excellent
i hate how you can full auto pretty much any gun over 100m and some over 200m, basically if you can control the small amount of recoil you can compete against dmrs and snipers
loved the feel in bf4 where you had to know the distance you could full auto vs burst vs tap

shotgun sniping is literally what kept me playing Battlefield 3 for all those years. M1014 slugs was literally an SVD for any class, (therefore, engineer, the real gamer class)

It's fun, but when you think that most kills almost take a whole mag, it's really not op. It's far less powerful than most other guns in the game (K30, BSVM with high power rounds, etc etc).

I mean, if you REALLY wanna be realistic with shotgun slugs this IS realistic. If you run 460 grain slugs in 3 1/2 inch shells out of a rifled shotgun barrel you have a 65 caliber, short range DMR

Always loved toying with slug loaded shotguns in FPS games and since Saiga is an airsoft weapon until you unlock the drum mag it was such a good change of pace to have the slug and have some fun. The visibility of the slug's path at long range is somehow nice, helps me correct my aim more easily. The other shotgun pissed me off though. FOr some reason you only get two "mags" worth of slugs with it and I cannot understand why. Just let me carry more ammo for it...
I remember trying to get slugs to work in BF4, it was like a weird middle ground between a sniper rifle and a DMR, not to mention the lower accuracy and quick damage dropoff meant I had to get close. It was a fun problem to work through, can't imagine what they were thinking in 2042
