  • Hey there friends - I wanted to make a video showing you how to make these boho macrame coasters! Even if you are a beginner you can definitely tackle this project, you only need to know two macrame knots - the larks head knot, and the square knot!
    Larks Head Knot:
    • Larks Head Knot - Macr...
    Square Knot:
    • Square Knot - Macrame ...
    The macrame cord I used in this video is from this Etsy shop:
    www.etsy.com/shop/RockMountai...
    I bought the single strand, 6 mm natural colored cord. Sometimes they are out of stock - if so you can find high quality macrame cord at Ganxxet, as well as many other shops on Etsy.
    If you have any questions, I would love to help you out - shoot me a comment down below!

      These are so great! Would it be possible for you to do a tutorial on boho placemats?

      Great idea, that is definitely on my video list! :) until then you could probably use this pattern too - I imagine you could just double/triple the amount of strings hang on the dowel, as well the cord lengths!

      Can you use 3mm cord? Will it turn out differently? Xx

    I was on Amazon looking for inexpensive coasters to put on my desk, I’m teleworking. When I saw macrame mug rugs, I said out loud “hold up, wait.” I have scrap cords and square knots are simple, all I need now is time. Thanks for sharing your expertise. I concur with another’s comment, I enjoyed the vibe.

      Would you mind expanding on your question, I want to make sure I give you the right info :) Square knots (if pulled tight) will stay secure!

      @@madebyhandbyallison if you don't tie the final knots, they might come undone and the whole peace might fall apart.

    • @madebyhandbyallison
      @madebyhandbyallison  4 роки тому +1

      The entire piece including the final knots are made up of square knots - square knots are very secure, as long as you tie them tightly the piece will not fall apart :) let me know if you decide to make it if you come across any issues!
