Being blind is not scary. Being not accepted with your special needs and not having the small, extra help you need, that can be a big challenge emotionally. For a human and an animal as well. So it's only up to us to make everyone and everything equal.

You are the perfect mom and have the IDEAL home for Horace. He doesn't have to compete with other dogs for food or attention. He gets his comfort and companionship from the snakes. Unusual, but great! It's adorable how he responds to the words "hungry" and "here."

She is being highly irresponsible having a dog anywhere near a python. She says non venomous like thats the only threat snakes pose. Most snakes strangle their prey. Snakes do not care about social interactions or companions, and they would think nothing of suddenly deciding to kill that poor dog.
She is definitely the perfect person for that darling dog. He's clearly so happy around her. I wish them every blessing!

We have a blind from birth English Bulldog and she is the best dog we have ever had. She doesn't know she is blind and has a highly developed sense of hearing that is almost a sonar or radar. She fetches her ball in the yard at full speed and never runs into anything in our home unless we move them and then she only hits them once. She doesn't run off or chase other animals and is a pleasure to love and care for. If they are blind at birth they make one of the calmest and stick-by-you dogs ever.

What an amazing story. I can understand that he would be scared and not be himself he didn't know what those other dogs were or what they wanted. But now he has his forever home. I've never seen a snake sleep on a dog and it was kind of funny.😊 And the interesting thing was the snake was right on the fireplace... Thank you for caring for snakes and thank you for having Horace as your best friend.❤
I could hear the cracking of her voice when she talked about his past trauma... She really feels his past pain deeply. That's how you know a person is a true animal lover at heart. When they have to fight back tears and breaking down (or sometimes we just can't) when we know one of our beloved furry beings is scared, in pain, and has suffered. I wish them the absolute best ❤🙏🏻 always and forever.

Ì dont know about snakes at all...I didnt think they had personalities, just this weird heat sonar or something that detects either prey or predators'..didnt think they made friends. I would not trust snakes with a dog, ever.

And their brother also went blind at 6 yrs. old! But my 2 got around just like Horace, so hearing someone say “Aw, you should put them down bc they’re blind!” just upsets me to no end! They adapt sooooo well!♥️♥️
