After about 3 years I still haven’t found a better bag and I’ve actually gone out of my way looking for one. I constantly come back to the alpha 31 and at this point I’ve given up trying to find a better bag and just use the alpha. Super excited for the V2. There’s a few features I’m crossing my fingers for in an otherwise perfect backpack.
Just a note, I've watched all your videos and appreciate them, but an easy way to improve your presentation by 1000% would just be to remove "uh"and "umm" from your vocabulary. Thanks for the videos.
Video is old but hope you guys will see this. I am stickler for hanging straps. I wish there was an elastic band on each part of the bag so you can fold up excess straps and tuck them away. The only solution I can think of is to tape the excess every single time.
The bag fully expanded + loaded could be quite heavy - because there's a rigid framesheet, it seems like a detatchable hipbelt, even a simple webbing one, would work well. Is there any option to attach one ?
Hey we think the ergonomic shoulder straps with sternum strap provide a really good amount of control and the is no waist belt on the ALPHA 31. That said, we're on a mission for constant improvement, and will keep this in mind for future bags.
