    A good tip for when you can't seem to get into the right gear on standstill (with most bikes) is to press the shifter to where you want and then letting out the clutch carefully. The bike should always slip into the right gear then, whether it be first, second or any gear.

    I have had this bike since July 2016 have to say its been very very fun. I am 5 ft 8 in height so I find it perfect. I never needed a gear indicator because I use my ears I learned that from games where the revs should be. I am 30 so started late on my cbr. I have done 4500 miles since July 2016. No problems with the bike at all break down wise the only thing that has done my head in is the false neutrals on this bike but you get used to that. I have used the standard tires and they have been fine heavy rain, ice, oil, anything I have had no problems, not that I lean to much but I do lean I also rev it right before the red line everywhere I go because well its a 125cc and I want to get somewhere. I find second and third are the most fun with the best pull. I am also 12.5 stone as well. So after all that I can recommend that this bike is lovely for beginners. Ps my new Cbr600RR arrives in 3 weeks can't wait. Happy biking guys and ladies. Good luck.

      Alec Sheen Do you still get false neutrals on the 600rr? I had the 1100xx and I did haha.

    For the people that don't use stone:
    12 stone = ~76 kg. (~168 lbs)
    9 stone = ~57kg. (~126 lbs)
    ----- Now. Back to the topic of the video. I was planning on getting this bike when I get a 125 license. It changed through time due to the price, and I have to find something else, preferbly a supermoto :P But it will still be a while before I get a 125 license due to money. Again.

    I have a Honda CBR125 2007, and I don't have any problems with it :) I had a small problem where it wouldn't start, but it was because of me driving and stalling alot of times in the same place... But when I learnt to drive manual, I haven't had any problems!

    I was insanely impressed with my stock tyres (about 3k miles) and no matter how aggressively in the dry and wet I rode, never did they give way; not even a slight hiccup and that was some pretty insane lean angles. I even had to ride home in a few inches of snow a few years ago and not once did it slip during acceleration, braking or cornering.

    As soon as you started talking about locking up your wheel, I thought about my first ride on my RS50. Coming home from a good day out, shifted down and the back wheel locked herself up. Absolutely shat myself, that and pulling an accidental wheelie whilst getting used to gears, have to be the up there on the most terrifying things that have happened to me.
    Anyway, nice video man. Earned a sub, looking forward to following your journey into the bike world

    any one get false neutrals? how do i stop it, my bike is getting a service the last guy was crap with oil and its old. but if that doesn't fix it what could be the issue? i shift hard. so i don't get it. ive been riding for 8 years, and never had that issue untill my new bike. kinda upsets me man i love her but i'm scared my dogs are fucked, its done 11000 miles, it does keep up with a yzf, they're pretty much on par, i find the cbf beats them of line and has same top speed when you tuck.

    and I have some questions too can you compare it to the yamaha yzf 125 or the aprillia or is it far away? And I have the money to buy myself one new one and I have the chance to buy like the yamaha or the aprillia so what do you think is the better option to use?

  • @EnigmaGameMaster
    @EnigmaGameMaster 7 років тому +1

    Lmao I weigh 240 pounds and I'm able to get it to 120-125 km/h in a straight line with no wind, 135-140 with a wind in the back. Going down a slope it can range from 135 to 155 (rpm limiter) km/h depending on the slope and the wind in my face. That's while laying down on the tank and resting my feet on the passenger pegs, though.
    I also lowered my front suspension and put cheap clip on handlebars on my bike, so the riding position is much more aggressive and I must admit that it takes corners way better now. Also, the standard tires are shit, change them as soon as you can, because at higher speeds, the tires will start shaking the bike and it makes you less stable and you lose speed.

    Come on lad! I need these videos to keep coming lol! Yes, im still here. Your the only UA-camr who still has a 125cc on CBT the rest upgrade which I don't like tbh, even though obviously 600ccs are monstrous. But most people don't have BIG bikes a lot of people still ride around with 125's and that's what I always like about the channel! Been here since the accident lol! anyways hope your doing well mate:)

    You can get these used with very little mileage currently looking at a 2015 with 2200 miles for £2300 of a dealer definitely the cheaper alt to the R125 buying one of those used is heartache so much to repair dealers hardly bother either

    All the cons you mentioned are balls, exempt for the price, it is a 125 it is what it is don't expect any more

    • @MiniMotoVlog
      @MiniMotoVlog  8 років тому +1

      1) Acceleration, I was simply stating that there is faster 125's available......
      2) Price, we agree on that 4k is alot for a 125.....
      3)Fastest top end speed, there are faster 125s available without any modifications done to them
      4) Upside down forks, personal preference tbh, as I said in the video
      5) Seating position, saying that it is not the tallest one out there so do some research, or ride it, before you buy it
      6) Showing the gears, as it's a learner bike, that would really help new riders
      7) Tyres, I said were at 7,000+ miles and they're not good to ride in the rain....
      8) Exhaust, personal preference again really, would like it to sound abit more aggressive lol
      They're not balls, they're facts and my personal opinion
      I know it's a 125, so I don't expect anymore thank you very much.
