- Congrats to John, a champion from our little fitness newsletter community. He inspired me when he talked about adjusting his goals to keep moving forward, even while recovering from cancer.

It was a honor to meet Mr. Arnold Schwarzenegger at the MGM Grand Garden Arena many years ago in Las Vegas. I was the security guard guarding the dressing room area in the backstage. I too had open heart surgery to all of my arteries. I was amazed I survived my heart attack and my surgery to all six arteries of my heart.

It's making me sad to see Arnie getting older 😔.....Because I grew up with his movies when I was a child...I watched all his movies, I am 33 now. Thank you Arnie for your great movies, I wish you a good health and for the John as well.

One time my father and i were watching tv and i watched your first movie on there and that was the first time I woke up till 12:00 from then on i watched like every single on of your movies and you have been my favourite person and actor and everything ♥️

I grew up in California, and my child hood heroes since the 80s were Arnold and MacGyver. I grew up years later and went to college and didn't graduate. I didnt know what to do for a while but eventually got my degree in pure mathematics and never gave up. When I finally got my degree I got the diploma and to my surprise, my child hood hero had signed my diploma (Arnold was Governor of California then). I had no idea all I had to do to get my heroes autograph was to just finish going to school lol

I been watching Arnold since I was a kid in the 70s. The villain, Hercules in NewYork, streets of sanfransico. I saw pumping iron in 1976 with my uncle, he's also a bodybuilder. Arnold inspired to workout. I seen all his movies back then. Him and Lou Ferrgino are my idols
Super happy for John on his recovery and progression. And Arnold, God bless you for everything you have done and continue to do. You have, are and will continue to be a massive inspiration not only in fitness but paving a life that you desire. I just hope one day I can shake your hand and treat you to a great Radler while we talk about the good old days.

signed up. i had a stroke three years ago and kind of let my weight creep back in. now making a change to push it back out. changed my diet again and altered my portion sizes and dropped alcohol. i owe it to that doctor to keep myself on the right road, she said 'i never want to see you here again' and i want to keep that promise.

Ever since I was a young child in Brooklyn N.Y. I always loved sports! My dad was a gym enthusiast since the late 40's after WWII, and was a great baseball player starting out as a child , so I took after him! I was very young when I saw Arnold for the first time in Hercules in New York, by then I was hooked and I didn't even no it! Lol
I had my first weight set when I was 13, it was one of those plastic covered cement sets from Sears... the rest is history, I've always worked out one way or another, I'll be 59 this summer, and I still hit the irons, only now they're covered in rubber. While my contemporaries, my middle and high schoolmates, most of which are round in the middle and have noodle arms, I still have decent muscle proportion resembling my late 30's, and although I'm not ripped(too much of a good life), as an example, my arms are still around the 22" mark! So Mr. Arnold Schwarzenegger, I must thank you at the least, for all you have done for the world in the name of health, exercise and nutrition, among other truly admirable things!! It is well written down on my "bucket list" to one day, not far off, have the opportunity to shake your hand, look you in the eyes(although I'm only 6')and say a great big Thank You!! 🏋🏻♂️
Hi Arnold, You are the most positive person I know out of all the famous, wealthy persons in the media. It is so good to see such an attitude. Charity, teaching positivity by example and much more. You changed my life many years ago although we do not know each other in person. I used to be an unhappy individual, dwelling in my past which nearly ruined my future. Now I have a Family, Kids, my Company (IT Company with my own employees). It all started by going to the Gym after I had read an Article on the Flex Magazine written by you, 20 years ago 😂👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🏆🦅

I was caught in Mohave amongst those hundreds of trucks stopped on highway 58 because of the blizzard in the pass. I was scary no only because of the strong winds but the cold was chiiing. I was running out of gas trying to me ,my two cats and their pigeon warm. At first the traffic going South on 58 was crawling at a snails pace. I took 58 South when it cleared about 2 in the morning. I knew I could get to Sac that way and I did. WOW what an adventure that was. Not enough leg room in the truck I rented so lm limping got to see a doctor. Good to see you. How did we get to be seniors all of a sudden seems like. I don't mine 😅🤣🤣🤣🤣❤

Brilliant stuff Arnold. Of course, it’s inevitable that we’re going to get injuries or sick from time to time. But I always say to myself and give advice to others that it’s really important to focus on not what you can’t do but what you can still do. So, for example, if you have knee pain for a period, try not to focus on in. Look at it as an OPPORTUNITY to increase abdominal training until the knee gets better. Or, increase upper body training. No matter what your situation is, there’s always a small challenge you can set yourself as that FIRST STEP towards bigger things. Arnold really highlights this with just getting outta bed by himself after his big op. What inspiration as always. Let’s try to keep this positive outlook as much as possible in life and really squeeze the best out of it. Good luck to you all. And thank you so much Arnold.

I remember listening how you came to America with little money and belongings and came to be highly successful. Also, how you said friends at the gym showed you great love giving you bedsheets, a tv, transistor radio, kitchen supplies etc, invited you over for thanksgiving and Christmas.

Arnold Schwarzenegger has been my idol since I was a little boy. I am 40 years old now and I have seen most of my childhood idols become corrupt or mean. It brings me great joy to see that he still behaves like a proper gentleman.
