Definitely can tell the difference between stock and the Hellas. Glad you didnt go super loud cause those people give me a heart attack on the road. I love that you powder coated them the same color as the brakes cause I think it looks sick that they tie together.

Mark Foster It depends on how you wore them. If you use the simple plug & play kit like I did, then they aren’t much louder, the tone is just different. If you run a separate lead wire like I did with my previous set, they are significantly louder.
Yep. Quite a few VW guys like them too. They are also pretty popular in the off-roading community from what I've seen. They are nice horns. Sound great look great, & are easy to install.
What 802 Garage said, my hood was popped. I do have a slight gap even without it popped, because over time, the Hawkeye bumpers tend to droop/sag a little.
Great video. You know what i would like to see from you, painting the hawkeye headlights, i know yours are already painted, but maybe you have a friend or you can find one headlight and do it. My biggest concern is, how i will mask the chrome ring to be perferctly round and with your explanation it would be much easier for me/us.

In my state horns are almost never used. My previous car, I'd use my stupid loud exhaust to express frustration/communicate. But maybe horns are the way to go now.
Yeah, those are a little louder than the stock horns, but if you really want to have super loud horns, you've got to buy Air Horns that come with an air compressor; more complex but they will scare old ladies in Traffic! lol

Never understood this upgrade unless its just an aesthetic thing. Hellas do sound better/louder but not enough to care. I much prefer the dual-trumpet style tone.
I'm not sure what there is to not understand. Everyone has their own preferences. You may prefer the twin trumpet style horns, but I prefer the Supertones. These do sound different in person than they do in this video & are much louder than the factory ones, but different strokes for different folks I guess.

With Hella's you can run at least 18 gauge wire & they will be much louder. You are trying to argue with incorrect information. Lol.
@@hawkeyestiguy Check them again, the 300Hz horn is working but not the 500Hz. these are dual tone horns but it sounds single tone, unless you have 2x 300Hz tone horns which means there has been a packaging error. I hooked these Supertones on my car a few days ago and they are dual toned.

They sound very different in person than on video because of the limitations of the microphone’s ability to record & of the speakers ability to replicate the depth of the sound. It’s like trying to compare the sound of being at a live concert versus watching a recording of that concert on UA-cam. These horns sound good in person to a lot of people & most, like myself, have no interest to put air horns on their cars. If you get the chance to go to a car show, keep an eye out for them. Ask the owner of you can hear them. Assuming they wired them up to the battery, they’re loud as hell.

Only one horn is hooked up the other isn't sounding
Actually both are connected to the wiring harness & the harness is what I unplugged & plugged back in. Both horns were sounding.
