I Went to Tahiti in 1978 with my parents when I was just a child and in those years as you can imagine it was an hidden paradise. We spent there 3 weeks visiting Tahiti, Moorea, Rangiroa, Bora Bora, Raiatea and Manihi. Still now that I'm 55 years old and unfortunately my Mom passed away on last June I remember this one as the best travel of my life and I still have very vivid memories of that beautiful journey. Thx for your wonderful videos!!! ❤. Cheers from Italy
I have never stayed there and probably never will. Even I work my butt off, I probably could not afford a holiday like that. Therefore I want to thank you even more to upload these videos, so people like me can have a look to these special places on our earth. Thank you for these beautiful videos. I often have tears in my eyes when I am watching your channel. Thank you very much.
I get so excited when you put a video up. My life is so hectic right now with family members passing away and one is about to leave us for Christmas. These videos take my grief away. Thank you♥️
We stayed there pre and post cruise last year the pools are amazing and the hotel was fabulous. We had plenty of ocean/lagoon time on other aspects of our trip. After long flights stay here a few days to get into the vibe.
I haven't watched it yet but I wait ALL week for the Saturday upload! Dream vacation for me is Tahiti/Bora Bora and I want to fly on the Tahiti airline you showed us a few weeks ago! Thank you for all these amazing videos and sharing with us!💖
Thanks Doc. Another beautifully constructed travelogue. As always it hits the right notes with the things a traveller would want to see. You have a talent for capturing the mood of the locations you visit on our behalf.
I simply do not have words for this video, so I am just going to post the time stamps that stand out for me. They are from 0:00-42:15! It's so calming to watch this video. Well done.
Good evening from New Zealand. This is a beautiful location and hotel. It reminds me of some of the resorts that we have holidayed at in Fiji which is a popular destination for Kiwis and Aussies. I love your beautiful videos. It's how I travel the world at the moment. Thankyou.😎
Very family welcome space … lovely quiet spots…beautiful views… what do you need more to relax and enjoy! Thanks so much to share . A therapy video in its own . God bless you 🙏
I stayed there in 1994 and it was such an amazing trip! We stayed at an overwater bungalow and for the first time in my life i saw the beautiful colored fishes from the glass table in the room . I missed in this video the spectacular Tahitian Dance Show . Cheers from Brazil💚💛
Another great video. Hotel grounds and vistas are beautiful but I find accommodations and overall decor looks stuck in time warp… not sure I would travel this far to stay here….
Hi That was amazing video clear picture good job very professional Thank you for sharing with us I ve been at that resort Intercontinental I love it beautiful resort. Thanks again
Thanks you so much to released this remarkable video about the intercontinental Tahiti resort on this great island with great beaches, restaurants, hotels, etc. in 2022❤❤❤❤
Hey, thanks for this beautiful video, I'm from Tahiti (Raiatea to be more precise), and we're used to coming to the intercontinental every now and then with my mom to leave the city atmosphere and reset for one day or two. Last time we went was in September of this year, we took a overwater bungalow for 2 days and yeah, nothing wrong to say about it, everyone is happy and welcoming, as expected, and it's just wonderful, :D! Thanks again for sharing this with us, this and your The Brando video are from another world, thanks :)
The location is just breathtaking, it's situated on the edge of a black-sand beach with the most AMAZING views of the South Pacific Ocean. Also, the spa is HEAVENLY! I had a chance to indulge in a variety of treatments and services and it was located on its own private island with views of the ocean. It was the perfect spot for relaxation and rejuvenation. Was able to buy this vacation deals for cheap on budgetarrival
Thanks 💖 ... for a new great video So much beauty... calm... I always get glassy eyes... many many Thanks Looking forward to the next one...i am addicted
Considering this as a one-nighter stay, this is quite fitting for the location you are about to settle into/leave away from. While the room is on the small side, I feel it’s an invitation to get out onto the sprawling outdoor areas and just explore! That view is lovely! French Polynesia is on my bucket list (Bora Bora specifically) so to follow the your holiday from Cali to French Polynesia is worth looking at and not only dreaming, but drawing inspiration to get there. I look forward to the other hotels you hit, as a couple have been on my list as potentials to stay in. Thank you as always for the adventure and I look forward to more! Much love from Texas, USA❤
It's worth it to actually stay a few days in Tahiti itself before(or after)one of the other islands in that area. I did that several years ago and it was well worth it. Take a jeep tour or two, take a bus & walking tour of downtown Papeete, or rent a car a few days and drive around the whole island. Drive up to Point Venus and/or down to Teahupo'o(Chopoo) the famous surfing spot. But the Intercontinental Tahiti is the best place to stay during your whole time on the main island there.
And while you're staying at the IC Tahiti, since they have a Robert Wan black pearl shop at the resort, you can arrange a free shuttle van ride to the International Black Pearl Museum(Musee de la Perle)downtown. There's also a Tahitian History Museum just north of town that's good and worth a visit.
Imo liked this hotel much better than the Bora Bora ones. Why? Just as nice views. Nice gardens. Nice room (yea not as overwater but then that doesn’t raise my boat) BUT you can either eat at your hotel OR get a taxi to a hundreds of other excellent (and far cheaper) restaurants in town and not be trapped and milked. Plus you can also hire a car and do some exploring.
@@MrX-zz2vk totally agree. Plus you can eat off property at many excellent restaurants and not be a captive audience like at some of those Bora Bora resorts.
i love your videos. I hope the day comes when you make a video that never cuts the music. that does not have any annoying ambient sound for those of us who need the image and music for activities such as yoga, mediation, massages, etc. thank you or all your wonderful posts that let me know the world
Hello Cesar Socci dear friend I hope you are fine . I guess you are interested in architecture and villa design. If you are interested in these topics I'm glad you visit my channel Our team uploads new videos every day, I am sure you will like them
The pools, the setting were lovely! Otherwise, fairly underwhelming! Decor stuck in the 70's. Room was quite small. I wish you could've gotten inside one of the over the water bungalows to show us. Food looked so-so, too. Except for the fresh fruit in the morning ... that looked very enticing and delicious! The feel of the place was like that of a movie theater lounge! ... uff. I don't think 5 star .... or even 4 star!! It's like it can't make up its mind what it wants to be ... a destination resort or an airport hotel! Tell me, dear LTE, is Tahiti built up like Oahu?? I've no idea, really ... Your music was superb as always! Thank you for all the work you put into these productions!! You are awesome ... even if some places you stay aren't quite! 😃 You are so gentlemanly in your assessments of places. Kind soul that you are ....
I have to agree with you. This was probably 5 star back in the 80s. It is still an nice resort, but not up to the 5 star standard of many other places. And the floor of the pool looked dirty.
Couldn’t agree more. I liked the video quality and presentation, but as for the hotel, it simply served to tell me NOT to go there, and I’m an IHG fan.
We stayed there for my 40th birthday last June. Very nice location and beautiful views. Food was ok, drinks were great. The gym is phenomenal and the infinity pool and swim up bar were great too. The rooms were hot as hell, the ac does not work. So if you like sweating while you sleep this is the resort for you. Also I got bit by a fish in the lagoon which was no fun
1: why go on holiday to relax then spend time in a gym Given that would be a work day routine. 2. I hardly think the hotel has control over what’s in nature. Should they go out and kill the fish?
I now bought some 50 ml multiuse containers just to take bulk size toiletries with me. I've always avoided waste that way, completely using all toiletries, and recycling them properly back at home, sometimes even after three refills of other toiletries in them... Now that nobody has them anymore I need to bring my own. They're not suitable for unlimited refills, but definitely more than one.
May I ask a question? I have always wondered if you check into the resort and you feel disappointed or maybe there is another issue or maybe you do not like the room how do you handle that? Do you stay anyway or do you rearrange your plans and move to another resort? Your videos are so beautiful that they are truly therapeutic. My husband and I always watch them and then talk about visiting. So far, we have been to a few and we love them! Thank you.
LTE, do you have any videos of the Intercontinental Moorea Resort as well? It's a beautiful resort too, and has a large ocean water pool for dolphins and a sea turtle habitat. I stayed a few nights there and highly recommend it. 👌
It is something to write home about. Not every luxury hotel has to be the same modern look. Good to have a place that is very nice but quaint traditional tahitian. Otherwise it would be boring. So try to behave and stop complaining!
Was there in 2015 and 2017 and truthfully it needed refurbishment - it was expensive for what it offered and not as well orgnanised as expected given it knows when the planes arrive but the views are amazing, the pool fantastic and the food excellent .
Yeah, both are beautiful but incomparable. The Maldives are ''motu'' the small flat islands, Polynésia 🌴 are mostly high islands and and we rub shoulder with the population, the Polynesian, everywhere.

Lost in the middle of a foggy sea
Most people long for another island
One where they know they would like to be

Come away, come away
Bali Ha'i will whisper on the wind of the sea
Here am I, your special island
Come to me, come to me
Your own special hopes,
Your own special dreams
Loom on the hillside and shine in the Streams
If you try, you will find me
Where the sky meets the sea
Here am I your special island
Come to me, come to me
Bali Ha'i, Bali Ha'i, Bali Ha'i
Some day you'll see me
Floating in the sunshine
My head sticking out from a low flying Cloud
You'll hear me call you
Singing through the sunshine
Sweet and near as can be
Come to me, here am I
Come to me
Try, you'll find me
Where the sky meets the sea
Hear am I, your special island
