I feel like the dreamcast version's visuals still hold up to today
at 1:44 when sonic entered the mountain and began his journey off running, was the most memorable moment I've felt. Everything from the music to how he performed. Wow, I smiled like a kid again remembering the times I failed trying to fluently move like this guy. Respect to this guy because back then it wasn't easy as he's making it look. Props.

I'll never forget playing speed highway for the first time on my dreamcast. I miss those days.
I'll also never forget seganet. Having dialup internet in my room without "parental controls" as a young teenager was the best thing in the world, lol.
Must had been pretty sweet.

I think these stages are so much better then the Sonic Adventure 2 stages and a new game with an improved Adventure formula (never Adventure 3 please no never).
Oh that character model looks so good
I personally like the dx models more becuase they fit more with the art that the adventure games art style were based off of
But this is modern sonic first apparence it fits beter considering dc sonic looks like classic sonic with green eyes and long spikes and legs

@@GenocideShell at the time there was nothing classic or modern sonic differance it was just the sonic but with redesign thats explain why sonic 4 episode 1 used the modern sonic look instead of classic sonic there was no differance until sonic generations

Thanks. That's also available in the Dreamcast Mod. I truly appreciate it, because it really gives the nostalgia feel. Though, Sonic Heroes was my first.
So basically, this mod changes EVERYTHING on the Steam copy, to fit the experience you'd get from the Dreamcast copy?? This is awesome!
The textures and lighting in the levels and even the landmarks look so much better in the Dreamcast. Why did they screw it up in the DX port???

@@niffuM4205 Gamecube is much more powerful my guy
The original lighting engine wasn't compatible with GameCube hardware, so they had to rework it and made everything demonstrably worse in the process.
my question is though, why change the models in DX, I know the GameCube can have more polygons but I would’ve loved if there was a optional setting to choose either the GameCube or Dreamcast models.
Atleast the gamecube version is so much better than the orginal 2004 pc and Xbox 360 and ps3 and the stream versions when I played those I thought how much the gamecube version was atleast decent compared to those recent ports but of course the dreamcast version is best version

I do want a mod to change that explosion sound. It's awful. A cartoon splat sound instead of an actual explosion.

When i was around 8-10 i played this, but it probably was pirated because i always crashed a speed highway when you run down the skyscraper into glass (whenever it broke my game just crashed) so i was unable to go finish the game

When I got BetterSADX, I got the wrong water in Emerald Coast, and not the Dreamcast water. Is there a way to fix it?
Honestly, I dunno how. I happen to get the DC water because of some updates. Maybe you can change that in Mod Loader?
When i turn off the dreamcast models on the mod the musics gone. Is this a glitch or something?
That never happened to me. If it is, then try turn the mod off and then on again. Tell me if it works.
