    Just lost my first fight ever in my life guys, I just began my amateur MMA career, this is my second fight and I just lost by decision the other day. I’m pretty devastated because I thought I was ready but once I got in there the adrenaline just made me not operate like usual. I’m not giving up on my dream but I’m also quite discouraged and angry.

    That's great advise, losing a fight teaches you alot about yourself. Paddy fights like he can't be knocked out but after his first ko in the UFC he will change alot for the better and I think we will see champion material then. But for now with his chin floating like a kite and him investing alot in it, that's going to cost him eventually. Tom has said before he used to travel all over for fights but no one wanted to fight him and he struggled to get any

      Its not that top level purple belts were better then, its because the belt system has been watered down over the years due to more and more people getting promoted due to time on the mats despite not being good. This interview made me look at Tom a lot differently than I did previously. Being a big JJ fan his relentless call outs used to almost annoy me.
    I still don't think Jon is ducking him, I just think Jon is showing him that at this point he runs things and he’ll fight who he wants to, meanwhile though Tom is hungry to prove a point and make name for himself. At the end of the day every fight is a toss up, it takes one good punch to end or change the entire direction of the fight. We’re all humans and so are they.
    Good luck, Tom. I hope you fulfill everything you hope to in the fight game. 💯👊🏻

    • @TheeliteMMA-ms4vz
      @TheeliteMMA-ms4vz 2 місяці тому +4

      Exactly, he can fight “who he wants to” he has a choice between a washed 43 year old heavyweight or the interim champ. He’s ducking, simple as that

    • @AceAndrew00
      @AceAndrew00 2 місяці тому +2

      @@TheeliteMMA-ms4vz yeah, I do believe that now after I did a little more research into him and Tom. What I meant to say is Jon seems to feel like he’s better than Tom so he’s “ducking” him in a disrespectful manner. I just think of “ducking” as being scared, I don’t think Jon is scared or thinks he will get beat. His ego is way too high for that. I think he feels like the fight game revolves around him, which it doesn’t. Every “king” is dethroned eventually.

      @@YwouldntiIt depends how old are you, if you’re pretty young go hard learn each martial art individually (wrestling,bjj,Muay Thai, boxing), and that’s what I’m doing currently I’m gonna do it for some time at least one year + each and then completely transition into just MMA training, and from there you could still take some individual classes that you think you lack in, whether it would be in grappling or striking, and also watch all the type of fights at home including pro, amateur fights and sparrings, and take your time, what I’m doing currently go hard for the 5 days of the week and have the weekends as rest, btw start to go harder as you take it more seriously, don’t overdo it as a beginner you can injure yourself and you have to adjust to a compete whole training system, there will be some really dark days (depression, no motivation, fear, pain and injuries) mostly mental so focus on making yourself as tough mentally because that’s the key which many people lack but as long as you don’t give up and keep going you will be fine, also it will take a lot of motivation videos and etc, anyway enjoy the process, live your life and etc.
