She's the entire circus. I love her.
Not sure if you should do it next, but if you want to see a different side of her, Ever Blue is one you should check out.
Also, I won't reveal her actual past life, but Polka is an OG Vtuber, dating back to 2018. She owns this scene haha.
@@kurisuw30 Ever Blue is amazing. I'd also tell Matchu to pay attention to the lyrics on that one as well. Not that they're cryptic or anything, but the meaning is pretty key to the vibe of the song.

Well, technically she's the Ringmaster, but she can - and will - fill any role that's currently needed. She is _very_ chaotic, yes. But always to the exact degree that is needed at the moment. If things are too boring she will make sure to liven up the mood, but should things around her be in full swing already she will just as effortlessly play the straight man. Just an awesome entertainer all around.
If you ask Polka for a performance, you will _never_ get less than 100%. She has one of the most versatile voices in Hololive, switching from sweet to maniacal to seductive to threatening to looney to soothing to creepy to monotone to hype to confused and all the way back again, all in a single breath. She can just as easily run an impromptu radio show to cover her collab partner being afk as she can live-dub a cursed doll in a haunted house they set up in Minecraft, or deliver the most hilarious exasperation at a sudden reveal...
Also she has insane harsh vocals. You heard some of it in Persona, but there's few thing that are as hype as seeing her live on stage, launching into an all-out scream in the middle of a heavy song!
Her original songs all tackle different viewpoints of content creation. From the happy and excited and the thankful all the way to the mentally exhausting and the threat of losing oneself. "Persona" specifically is mainly about the latter, and represents a dark mirror to her "Hologram Circus".

Polka has quite a large variety of genres for her songs. I recommend Polka's original songs "SAIKYOUTICPOLKA" and "Ever Blue". "SAIKYOUTICPOLKA" also has my favorite MV in Hololive.

Saikyoutic Polka was the song. Before i heard it the concept of "loving" an idol was foreign to me. Before i heard it i just thought of vtuber "idols" like cool people you hung out with on discord.
And now I get it. I'm down bad for Polka.
Polka has one of my favorite voices in hololive, I'd recommend checking out her cover of "Overdose"

I love most everything Polka does, so feel free to showcase more of her music. Her voice is so unique. There are even songs she's covered that many others had also covered, & I just wasn't a fan of the song. However, after hearing her cover, with her unique voice, suddenly I liked the song. She just always seems to add a TON of personality to all her music!

If you liked Polka's laugh in this, you would love her performance of Kick Back with Kanata and Reine. It was during a free concert on New Years, but you can find videos of just their performance. It's one of Polka's best stage performances, and I'm positive you'd love Kanata and Reine as well.

This is a type of song that is a visual treat to watch without lyrics and then go back to read the lyrics. There is a LOT of details with this song. Polka has a wide range of songs, but out of all of them, this one shows herself as what she usually is, a performer who is aware of the many dangers of being this type of performer but doing her best anyway.
Polka's covers are interesting because they feel like she made the cover her own song. Envy baby and Empress are short but very effective introductions to what Polka is capable of.
If you want a dose of power for singing, Towa's Error or Mio's Sparkle are awesome to listen to.
If you want horror in a song, Echo by Haachama is like a early warning sign in more ways than one XD
Polka is amazing, she's such a fun person with a great understanding of how to entertain and a lot of facets about her, she's also such a sweetheart.
Her music is very diverse and even so, it all fits her so well. I love Persona and it's probably my favorite song of hers, but she has so many original songs and covers that are just incredible, I could recommend 20, but let's leave it at three for now.
Her first three original songs, Hologram Circus, ぽ/Po and エヴァーブルー/Everblue, in this order, these three songs are perfect to introduce Polka, more recommendations later on.
Also, of course, Tokino Sora's Star,star,start, I gotta recommend.

Omaru Polka.. this song definitely sums her up.. completely unhinged and crazy, loud and bombastic or completely fazed out with no energy whatsoever.

Calling Polka chaotic, well... you got it, some would call it an understatement.
Lorewise, she is a ringmaster, at the head of her own circus, stream-wise, she has that strange dynamic of being either energetic or lethargic.
Rather than an entertainer, I would call her a performer, she loves to put on a show, use her vocal range or whatever that fits the situation.
One little trivia : She keeps a box filled with squeaky toys, music instruments and other miscellaneous nearby for funsies.

Since you brought up Marine, you should check out a short animated clip with Polka and her titled "Polka winning EVERY argument with Marine" on your own time. Pretty funny.
So far I think she’s the only hololive member to go sky diving.

Polka (and the rest of her gen) are members I don't know quite as well as some of the others, so I'm not really able to tell you too much about her. In lore however, she's a fennec fox who's the ringleader of a circus.
2:09 Some of the well know mv animators/directors started out as fan animators for Hololive, in particular off the top of my head are Kanauru and Ludokano.
For recommendations, I'll continue with Meconopsis by Ninomae Ina'nis and the fan animation "Myth's Bad Ending" by Mazumaro. To add in a couple more recs, there's We are Gamers! by Hololive Gamers, since it has a lot of fun game references in the mv, and I'll drop in Rebellion by Hololive English Advent.

It's really different when you get to "Everblue", no one saw that one coming. Also, there's plenty of Polka in clips, so you'll be able to get a good idea of her soon enough XD
Oh, you should watch the concert clip that has Polka, Reine and Kanata do "Kick Back" together. You can find it on UA-cam easily enough.
There are Hololive Horror games, usually oriented around characters that don't seem like they should be horrifying. Mumei and Haachama are probably the two scariest things in Hololive, unless you get on Sora or Suisei's bad side.
Polka is the entire circus of entertainment, her voice is so versatile depending on how she is feeling, its crazy what she can do.

Glad that you're getting to know the Hololive members through their music! Sometimes it feels like the fans get caught up in the memes and only occasionally remember that there's immense amounts of musical talent gathered here. And you've barely touch the Indo girls and Holostars!
Polka's a great choice, I wanted to recommend this song, along with PO and her cover of Becoming Potatoes by Neru. Her voice is versatile, to say the least.
Separately, Suisei has a lot of great songs, but if you like electro swing-type stuff, check out her cover of Saga Jihen, an anime song. She sang it with all the members of the 3rd generation, which includes Marine (one of the members is no longer with Hololive - there's a whole story behind that, but that's probably better left till you're more familiar with everyone and if you want to know more).

As far as Hololive horror games, the only one I know off the top of my head is Evil God Korone, a mod of the Japanese horror game Tsugu no Hi.
There's also Hololive Error, that's not fanmade though

Polka's Persona is good but you really have to watch and hear SAIKYOUTICPOLKA which I still think is top 3 among all Vtuber MVs.
