I got bear creek arsenal for my first upper… PSA would be an upgrade. Both companies from all available evidence put out products that work. Obviously their not the best certainly not exceptional. However their still a legitimately great product. If I can find 5.56 for $.50 a round after all the shortages I really don’t care as long as it’s legit.
Every time I hear an update about psa, I’m blown away! They have come a long way and the fact that they support “we the people” first, makes me admire them more.
I have used AAC 556 for a bit now. 65gr and 77gr perform consistently solid all day long. Shipping from AAC is phenomenal. Several times I order one night and box hits the porch on the 2nd day. I've never had to wait more than 3 days.
I'm not a 556 hater but 300 blk is more ideal and versatile as a combat cartridge ranging from highly effective 110 grain to 220 grain. If someone can quality mass produce it, I really think it should become the dominant American cartridge.
Love my 300 Blackout Aac but run mostly supersonic in mine ranging from 110-135 range loaded hot with lil gun powder and has good power within 300 yards with Barnes or 200 yards with Hornady tips, drop them deer quick
I bought a box of 110gn pink tip vmax (2350 fps) on sale at psa for like 11$ a box! Cant ask for a better price for real personal protection/hunting ammo and 1000 round of aac 9mm for 225$ delivered from another website! Its going to change the market and force companies to bring their prices down
I love seeing PSA/AAC choosing civil shooters first instead of military. I also love and appreciate the fact that AAC will be making their own primers. I've been using AAC ammo for my 9mm, .380, 5.7 and .300 Blackout. All work perfectly.

So great to live in a free state where a company like Palmetto State Armory can grow & thrive. I have been a loyal customer now for several years and recently bought my first PSA manufactured firearm the Dagger Compact 9mm. I will be running nothing but their AAC 9mm ammo thru it now thanks to your great review and video ! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK BOYS !
All I can say is thanks PSA for dropping that money into primer manufacture. Please continue to supply us reloaders once you show us your product is capable. You will indeed have a customer base that will buy everything you make.

I’ve been using PSA for years. Love them guy. It’s so great the direction they have gone thanks for showing us the videos on how well they are doing and improving. Thanks MAC
Very impressed with AAC 5.56 ammo. Love to see them do .308/ 7.62 NATO 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 Great to see an American 🇺🇸 business manufacturing American products 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Mac I never knew or read the box when I bought it was made by PSA. So good to know. I will definitely be buying more of it now to support their company. I love what they are doing for our community.
I bought.308,150 grain, soft-point with the intent of hunting with it. Very uniform rounds appearance wise. Super impressive!. Through the barrel and down range, no ftf and groupings were as good if not better than most hunting rounds I have tried. Equivalent to Speer gold dot shooting at paper. I’m sold!!! Appreciate the video.
Palmetto has quickly become one of my favorite companies. It's what they stand fori like a lot too. Arming all Americans possible at an affordable price for almost anyone. I don't sign up to emails but I made a mistake and did with PSA and now I get all these emails with great deals and as a prepped I cannot help but to take advantage of these great sales on a few things and definitely ammo is one of their big sellers for me. Now I know why they can, because they make it as well and maybe they're unloading some of their federal rounds to make more room for theirs as well 😂 but good sales on different kinds including their own
I've opened a 200-round pack of Winchester "white box" 9mm ammo and found a "round" that was nothing but a clean, primered case - no powder, no bullet. I hope AAC drinks their milkshake.
Man, I could watch ammo being loaded/manufactured all day. Seeing that much ammo in one place is just crazy. It's almost like watching money being made, but cooler. Whenever I see a huge vat of ammunition it just makes me want to do a Scrooge McDuck dive into it.
AAC made it affordable to shoot my ruger american in 300 black out. I have no clue how anyone can afford to shoot 300 black out, out of an AR platform lol. but again AAC is awesome, cheap, accurate, and well made, that's all I ask as a consumer who works a regular job, and doesn't make over 6 figures.
Yeah same I was happy running monarch and barnaul steel cased .308 but it's gotten scarce lately. The Russian ammo ban really hurt my .308 fun. Barnaul made a 150 gr hpbt it was still cased but my AR-10 would consistently give 1 moa with it.
I held off from building an AR due to cost of ammo. Couldn’t justify spending all that money on a build I wouldn’t shoot often. But finding AAC at 40 cents a round was amazing. I built my first 14.5 Bcm cause of their ammo prices.
A company that's looking out for the American Citizen first is looking out for me, So I'm gonna buy their products first, I've seen the ammo but never tried it because I didn't know anything about it. Now that I know the back story I'm buying as much as I can afford. Thanks guys for this info and Thank you PSA.
I've been purchasing AAC ammo recently and have been pleasantly surprised thus far. You can get 5.56 77gr OTM at $10.99 per 20rd box, 300blk 110gr V-MAX for $12.99 per box and much more.
This is awesome!! I've been purchasing quite a lot of aac ammo lately, so far so good. Thanks guys for the video and thanks to PSA for the ammo. Pew pew
I find it funny that a few years back you would find more people running PSA into the dirt. MAC himself would have been one of those people. Now that they have a better reputation, and are making big moves and earning big money people have nothing but positive things to say about PSA. I was one of the ones defending PSA from the moment I became a consumer of theirs. To me they have always been a great company. I’m glad people are finally realizing this also. I feel my opinion is validated now. PSA has always had great products with extremely fair prices. Most feature rich rifles like theirs run at least $1500. When PSA will sell a similar product for $200 or $300 less.
Just bought my first 60 rounds from PSA, just some 55gr 5.56. I later went to a local gun store and saw their cheapest ammo was 2 dollars more a box (10 vs 12). I then realized that as long as you buy 5 or more boxes, it's cheaper to buy from PSA than from my local store. On top of that, I'm supporting a very strong advocate of the 2nd Amendment who even gives you the option to add money to your order to be donated to GOA. Add in the fact that you can buy most of their stuff, even firearms, through Sezzle, which gives you the chance to split the order into four separate payments, and I know I'll be buying from PSA a LOT more. They are the Soviet Union of American firearms manufacturers. Producing simple, reliable, and affordable stuff to arm their side of the world.
I’ve shot over 1k rounds of AAC 124gr FMJ 9mm with only 1 failure I believe was mag induced. Great ammo, great price. Shoot it in competition. I plan on trying the 5.56 and 300 black next
Thanks for the information on AAC! I've bought their ammo in the past and have never been disappointed with it, but I didn't know their connection to PSA.
Would love to see them do 6.5 grendel. Fantastic cartridge that federal stopped supporting in order to pad their pockets by releasing the 6mm arc. Was the best ar15 cartridge when federal had good match ammo and wolf steel was cheap
S/o to PSA. Knowing they have us little guys in mind before the military industrial complex is a game changer for me. I’m willing to pay a little more for that.
PSA is the absolute best! I buy everything I can from them! God bless them and their efforts! May they become the biggest name in the game for civilians in the world! May they stay true to that vision.
Glad to hear they're making a 77gr load. I switched over to 77grTMKs(or SMKs) 5 or 6 years ago for all my "serious use" 5.56 ammo(meaning self/home defense, long range, etc.), starting off with Corbon MPR, and then switching over to Black Hills after Corbon stopped making MPR/went out of business. I saw a video online of a guy getting velocities of 2700-2750 out of a 10.5" barreled AR with Black Hills 77gr. That video convinced me to switch my HD gun over to a 12.5" instead of the 16" I used to use(well that, and the fact I finally got my first 5.56 can(OSS 556K.)) One of my friends belongs to a shooting club that I used to go to, as it was literally 5 minutes from the houses we grew up in, and they got a chrono. Again, with a 12.5" AR, .223 wylde chamber, I was consistently getting about 2750-2760. I was quite surprised. I really wish I had brought my 16 and 18 inch guns to see how high those numbers could go. Sorry, I'm ranting. Anyways, finding a good practice/training load is difficult, as there are plenty of "cheap" 77gr loadings(such as the IMI "Razorcore"), but the external ballistics are surprisingly different. I wouldn't be surprised if they were a good 350ft/s lower, and the accuracy also isn't up to Black Hills standards(which isn't surprising, and isn't as big a deal, and if anything makes you step your game up.) Hopefully the 77gr PSA load will be a good replacement. **edit** Okay, so I think I'm a dumbass. For some reason I assumed the 77gr load you were talking about was a range/practice/plinking load, but it seams clear to me now that it appears to be more of a match grade load. Is that correct? Also, anyone out there know any relatively cheap 77gr loading that are a close match to the Black Hills TMK/SMK?
PSA has always been about the civilian consumer first and the LE/Military “whenever we satisfy the civilian consumer first” last mentality and it’s been a boon for them. A lot of military and LE people crap on PSA for that reason. PSA is about the civilian consumer and the military/LE people don’t like it. Good for PSA.
Gentlemen, thank you for the heads up. Garand Thumb is always on top of announcing their sponsors, of whom AAC is one. But they didn't tell us that they're owned by PSA. Had I known that I would have looked them up sooner. Glad to see ammo made in America by Americans. I'm definitely going to give their ammo a try.
I've been shooting a lot of the 124gr fmj and the 77gr 5.56 as well as the 75gr 5.56. All of them have been performing quite well. I've even taken the 77 out to 500m and got good hits.
I've built an AR-15 pistol, and I own a PSA dagger. Great Guns good prices bought thousands of rounds of AAC ammo. No problems with their guns or their ammo.
That's great that they are willing to make 7.62x39. I would also like to see 6.5 Grendel if possible. IDK what kind of price PSA can have it at, but I would like it to see cheaper than the Hornaday.
Great news for you guys, Down here in AUS, we haven't had primers or powder for pistols on the shelves for over 3 years. Factory ammo is prohibitively expensive for most shooters here.
PSA is a model for American manufacturing and innovation. They piss me off sometimes with supply, probably more of a demand problem really, but a great success story.
5.7x28 is probably my favorite cartridge. Besides FN (obviously), no other company has done more to make 5.7x28 accessible. Most of my friends that used to go crazy wanting to shoot my P90 have 5.7x28 platforms & ammo of their own now. PSA makes a great 5.7x28 pistol for an unreal price & I hope the keep adding to their line of 5.7x28 ammo & keep introducing platforms for it.
When I first started seeing aac, I thought back to the psa video u guys did amd said here it is. Recently got some of this and it looks good. Shoots good. I’ve only shot ball 556. I got it a few weeks back and I’d definitely buy more when I need to. I can already see the deals on rifles with a case of ammo included. I waited on an ak from psa until some of the growing pains are worked. Reviews lately have been good. I’m just gonnA beat it anyway lol
I also know I'm SUPPOSED to look down my nose at PSA-- BUT- i cant help myself, and buy lowers on sale ,and I'll be DAMNED if they don't WORK on my builds ! Throw in a cassette trigger and good to go !
Great video. Its so great to hear that manufacturing is being brought back (or kept) here in the U.S. The next thing they should take on is their own line of armorer's tools for the DIY crowd.
Plz PSA start making cheap 6.5grendel. you will dominate the cheap Grendel market and make tons. Even if it's not match ammo. Just make decent bulk ammo. Thanks PSA for everything u stand for.
THANK YOU! I have been seeing AAC sponsoring alot of channels now and was wondering about them. I know I tried to start up my own ammo company in Georgia only making 22 and boy did they come after me and shut me down like I was Putin himself. How dare a peasant try to make ammo. Now that I know more about them I will look for them and try to buy more. I hope they make some steel 7.62 eventually. That and steel cased 45.
I look forward to buying AAC 7.62x39 and not having a finite supply. And hoping some 5.56 goes down in price by virtue of more on the market. I’m rooting for you, PSA. I’m also really tempted by a Sabre but I’m waiting for longer term reviews to see if they are built as well as competitors or if it’s the same as the cheaper rifles QC
So far my experience with their proprietary 77gr load has been less than stellar. Dented case bodies, 30+ SD 100+ES. I'm documenting every round I fire, and maybe the first couple boxes I've gone through are just unlucky. Appreciate that the cost is low, hoping it can accomplish better numbers at the muzzle and downrange.
I have 3 PSA rifles. Well the 6.8 is an RRA upper on a PSA lower. Now I'm buying their ammo. 9mm FMJ and hollow point, along with the 77gr match. I'd buy their 75gr stuff, but I already have a ton of the Frontier 75gr type 2.
Great to see PSA cranking out ammunition.
Yes
Waiting for their steel and brass 6.5grendel ammo.
Where is the 5.45?
Just bought 1,000 rounds of 125gr 9mm. About to buy the same in 115. Best price for manufactured ammo and no issues whatsoever on my end!

Looking forward to their 6.5grendel.

That video convinced me to switch my HD gun over to a 12.5" instead of the 16" I used to use(well that, and the fact I finally got my first 5.56 can(OSS 556K.))
One of my friends belongs to a shooting club that I used to go to, as it was literally 5 minutes from the houses we grew up in, and they got a chrono.
I wouldn't be surprised if they were a good 350ft/s lower, and the accuracy also isn't up to Black Hills standards(which isn't surprising, and isn't as big a deal, and if anything makes you step your game up.)
Hopefully the 77gr PSA load will be a good replacement.
**edit**
Okay, so I think I'm a dumbass.
Glad to see PSA producing quality ammo at a fair price. Enjoyed your video as well.
It will only get better. Like the hosts said, it will eventually persuade other companies to lower prices.
@@thatoldyankeesguy they make good guns for the prices and the ammo is good
@@thatoldyankeesguy ok fed.
Theres nothing wrong with the government having to wait in line behind us at the checkout brother 😂
@@thatoldyankeesguy you're one of the types op just mentioned. You're probably wearing brcc merch too
Thank you for putting this out. Awesome update!!! I'm drooling for 545 like I'm sure many others are.
Their 115 9mm has been great for me as range ammo
AAC shoots perfectly. After thousands of rounds, I don't think I've had a single bad round.
Is it better than Federal?
@@MrGene1976 Better than Winchester white box, for sure.
This is great that they are spinning up and pumping out ammo. Competition is a good thing for the consumer.
I love PSA! Just today I ordered some 5.7 and the 77 grain 5.56. Thanks for your vids on this awesome company.
I've been running their 124 9mm and I love it. Great to see this tour
I've been shooting a lot of the 124gr fmj and the 77gr 5.56 as well as the 75gr 5.56. All of them have been performing quite well. I've even taken the 77 out to 500m and got good hits.
@@beardly0121 I thought about getting some of the 77gr. What barrel length are you using? Any ammo related malfunctions with the 5.56?
@@Booseman51 no malfunctions and the barrel lengths I have used have been 20", 16", 14.5", and 11.5". Good performance out of all of them.
I've been buying their ammo for a long time. Total quality control, and no government meddling.
PSA is very cool, glad they're going well.
If it’s made in America, I’ll definitely be buying.
Thank you for turning us on to this... just ordered some up, excited to see how it performs
They said at shot show 2023 steel 6.5 Grendel ammo is coming.
Great news for you guys, Down here in AUS, we haven't had primers or powder for pistols on the shelves for over 3 years. Factory ammo is prohibitively expensive for most shooters here.
We really need to start making our own primers, ADI couldn’t give a shit about the local market.
@@johnryan1386 Couldn't agree more. Wonder if we could crowd source from all the shooters down here..lol
I liked hearing that PSA is using updated technology and machines
The 77gr OTM rounds from them are good. Got .686 moa at 100 yards from my comp gun. For .55 cents a round, they're gonna make the other guys hurt.
I need to check out this ammo, keep hearing amazing things. 🇺🇸
I love my hometown company making big waves in this industry!
I also know I'm SUPPOSED to look down my nose at PSA-- BUT- i cant help myself, and buy lowers on sale ,and I'll be DAMNED if they don't WORK on my builds ! Throw in a cassette trigger and good to go !
Great to see them getting ammo to the market. Hope to see primers to help out reloaders.
Yea, at less than 90/brick
Great video. Its so great to hear that manufacturing is being brought back (or kept) here in the U.S. The next thing they should take on is their own line of armorer's tools for the DIY crowd.
I wouldn't mind seeing that a lot further down the road. Food for my pewpews is far more important.
Plz PSA start making cheap 6.5grendel. you will dominate the cheap Grendel market and make tons. Even if it's not match ammo. Just make decent bulk ammo. Thanks PSA for everything u stand for.
Thanks for sharing your experience with us, Brother 😉👊👍🇺🇸
Good to hear there could be another American besides Hornady making 5.45.
That is all super exciting. I love PSA.
AAC - Advanced Armament Corp is still going, now under the PSA parent corp. umbrella. They added the AAC ammo company.
Love PSA! Veteran owned and America first! I'll be trying some of the 5.56mm 77 grain OTM's on hogs sooner rather than later. Keep up the good work!
Love what PSA is doing... Truely Making America Great Again!!!! Now if only we could really find a politician to do the same!
Thanks Mac & Jason for the outstanding review of AAC Ammo.....
Old Navy Flying Shoe🇺🇸
PSA is so fucking based. I love it
I have 3 PSA rifles. Well the 6.8 is an RRA upper on a PSA lower. Now I'm buying their ammo. 9mm FMJ and hollow point, along with the 77gr match. I'd buy their 75gr stuff, but I already have a ton of the Frontier 75gr type 2.
