I live in the UK and struggle to find anything! Mudlarking, magnet fishing, looking for sea glass at Seaham or metal detecting. I don't know how anyone but me comes up with treasures?
Oh my gosh! When I saw the headless chicken I was going to comment and tell you that you should put a different head on that chicken and then a second later you show the chicken with a dolls head on it lol that’s too funny. You should totally leave it like that and then paint it proper again 🤗🤪 Amazing finds so far! I’m CHUFFED with the pipe bowls found! Especially the hand pipe bowl! WOWZERS!!! 🙌
I thought it kind of funny, glue the legs you found at 2:46 onto a cod marble. Please put the star in the window. Wow two amazing pipe bowls back-to-back the football one and the hand one. The hand pipe bowl would look nice in the window too maybe with some flowers in the bowl. I'm loving the jet buttons, not sure what you have planned but I was thinking of putting them in a frame to display.
I absolutely love the Jet buttons! Idk what it is about them but I really like them!! Infact how cute would it be to have a black jet button inlayed in sterling silver made into a necklace!! 🥰 well, there’s my order 😂🤗
I enjoyed you after dark mudlark. The two pipes Gail found would look lovely in the window of wonders. BTW when Gail said look there can you see it with the hand pipe, I thought that it was a plastic fork, hopefully I could tell the difference in person. Thank you!
hi my favorite mudlarkers !very nice finds this week . i love the mourning buttons , and the star medalion thingy . and i have to say i agree with sassyblu , i miss you going over your finds at the end. so please if its not to much trouble can go back to doing it that way ? please and thank you . be safe girls out there in the dark !love you both , love and light to you !
I love the mourning buttons. They are such a poignant little window into the emotion of the past. They would look so lovely in a piece of jewelry, perhaps? Thanks for the ride-along to mudlarking!
I'm in Tasmania. I recently organised a pre-Christmas dinner for some of my beachlarking friends. I asked each of them to bring their best finds. I exchanged a beautiful, huge green Codd Marbble for a black glass mourning button that is so exquisite. We were both very happy with our exchanges. We intend to meet at a wonderful restaurant every few months. Next meeting is March. I'll ask them to bring an item and explain or find out the history behind it. The restaurant has the most delicious food and wonderful atmosphere. That helps :-)
I would love to see you make moulds out of the jet buttons, and fashion copper or silver signet rings of them. I feel like finding little legs are fortunate, as they have made the journey safely. Cannot wait to see you make jewelry out of the ones you’ve just found, Alex.
Hello girls, thanks for the video. Always good finds. When you found the headless chook, l'm calling out "Schwoo", "Schwoo". Haven't seen brown Schwoo in your video for such a long time. I'd like to see you put a head on the chook and glaze her in lovely colourings, maybe burnt oranges and a bit of red. That would make a good "make video". Thanks again. Love to all and cuddle for cats. Janice in Oz.
How fun, mudlarking in the dark! It’s always exciting to see what you find…those jet buttons are gorgeous! I’m another who misses your roundups at the end; please consider bringing them back. I feel like there’s more closure somehow that way.
I love the two new pipes. I was hoping y’all was going to break out the UV lights to see if there was any Niaga brothers beads or uranium beads and glass. Maybe y’all can do another search like y’all did over a year ago.
Hi Gail and Alex. Gail found ‘a strange metal thing’ early in your video (1:23). Did you choose not to keep it? It looks familiar, like a brass clip for something. Anyway, great video. Thanks again!
Oooh my favourite find from Alex would be the little owl, so sweet. And for Gail the mini bottles along with the hand pipe bowl. Great night lark ladies!! Xx
Hello 👋 from New York USA you Guy's found Some Amazing Finds my Favorite Definitely Was the Little Owl Figurine 🦉 and the Morning Buttons I think the Owl 🦉 should go in the Window of Wonders Thank you for Bringing me Along with you Guy's I can't wait to see What you Find Next 😊
Dear Alex and Gail, again thank you for taking me out of my caretaker roll. I loved the owl, the brass star, and.all the little morning buttons. I can't wait to see what Alex makes with the star. As always, a perfect trip! CL
I can’t believe you said, running around with the chicken with its head cut off. And you look down and find a chicken with its head cut off! Absolutely amazing! So many times I’ve noticed you guys say something and then it happens. With the stuff that you make at all all of that history and folklore, I think you’re being led by spirits. signed Tonia
You must have read my mind when you picked up that mourning button because I thought “I’d love to see all their mourning buttons side by side!” And voilà! There they were! 😊
The mourning buttons are just so beautiful and unique. The designs are just amazing and so small! Have to say the hand holding the pipe bowl is ghostly looking with its long, white fingers 😱
Greetings from St. Catharines Ontario! I kept looking at the headless "chicken" you found. Those legs are awefully long! I think your chicken is an ostritch! The tail is also a give-away.
17:17 Yes, you are correct. Btw, don’t worry about trying to appease us. Even though we’re your viewers/audience, we are also just that. Live your lives and grow; everyone needs to be doing this consistently, anyway. We’re here for your personalities and journeys. Even through the edits, as a viewer, we see your side-by-side scouring on the hillsides or waterways, etc. and we see your differences, but you are both still similar in many ways. Either way, you are both amazing artists. However you choose to record your adventures, we will adapt and still be here. 😊❤
Hi & greetings from North Carolina ladies. My word you had such good pipe luck today! My votes for the windowsill of wonders are the hand & football pipes, along with the cute little owl. Those two bottles with the writing are very nice & interesting finds as well. Really enjoyed your outing and all the lovely things you found.
Alex, the pudding doll legs can be used to repair one that has no feet. I think the owl can be miliputi repaired and take it rightful place in the window. The hand / egg pipe is also so delicate.
Lovely night for a treasure hunt! I think that the beautiful and delicate pipe bowls deserve some time on the windowsill. Seeing all the crushed pieces on the shore, I can’t believe that they survived. Great finds!
Would you consider putting a shadow box together containing certain collections - aka jet and glass mourning buttons and beads? You could add written details of your collection in the back of the shadow box.
Amazing finds this week. I hope we get to see the cast silver star Alex, it will be beautiful. Thank you for cheering me up on a Sunday evening (back to work blues for tomorrow 🙄)
I always thought you were saying morning buttons but now I realize that you are saying mourning buttons. Learn something new everyday. Great show ladies.
Ladies, Thank you for sharing another great Sunday video with us 😀. I really appreciate you looking up the history of unusual or not seen before objects. Oh before I forget I keep looking at the star brass and there's something familiar about it. Could that possibly be a medal that goes on a military uniform? It might have had some kind of ribbon the medal 🏅 attached to it. 🤔 Maybe some of the viewers recognize it and can give some info about. Stay Blessed, Safe and Healthy From Florida USA 🇺🇸
Suggestion: Take doll's lid and put on pipe and make a cook pot! take cod marble and fashion a dragon's claw or Owl's talon holding cod marble as a pendant. this way you can use your cod marbles as jewelry I know you ladies have such a talented artistic minds that these ideas are merely second time a rounders. I love your content as always Thank you for the glimpse into the past.
I say 3 things should go in the window 🤗 for sure the star ⭐️ Alex found! Can’t wait to see what you do with it! Also the soldier on the headless horse. I just love that! And lastly the brass snake buckle. I say that because it is neat history just barely saved. It’s so fragile. Barely any life left yet saved by Alex & Gail 🤗
All of your finds are so wonderful, my favorite is the star you will be molding Alex. My other two favorites are the huge bottle stopper and both unique pipe bowl’s the hand and football. Love all of your videos. Keep them coming 💗💗💗💗💗⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I think that brass star after you cast it and make with another metal, would make for a nice Christmas ornament [Besides for jewelry] As for The dolls legs legs only >>> Well how many times have I recently heard you say if I only had a bit of the legs and feet to complete the doll. So there you go look to make a match up in your collection.
I enjoy all of your videos. You do a fabulous job of helping to understand all your finds. I really enjoy the history of objects you find. Thank you for sharing your passions. Keep making videos..
The metal star was lovely, I look forward to seeing you cast some beautiful jewellery from it. The hand pipe was very detailed but I think my favourite was the weirdly wonderful headless chicken/bird 😊
Your broken owl and hen would be fun to restore with Milliput epoxy clay. I just restored a vintage garden statue (squirrel) and Milliput works wonders. You are both such talented craftswomen. I admire you both.
You found some amazing items! I can't wait to see what Alex does with the beautiful star she found. It deserves a place of pride in the Window of Wonders!
4.20 did you miss the dolls arm off to the right of the screen?? great video again ladies. 💖
Me, an American crying in having to be amazed by any shards of glass no matter how plain, because that's the most I find
I live in the UK and struggle to find anything! Mudlarking, magnet fishing, looking for sea glass at Seaham or metal detecting. I don't know how anyone but me comes up with treasures?
"We've been running around like a headless chicken today... Oh a headless chicken! (Alex finding one)". That was so funny, nyuk, nyuk, nyuk!
I vote for the three black buttons-beautiful.
Oh my gosh! When I saw the headless chicken I was going to comment and tell you that you should put a different head on that chicken and then a second later you show the chicken with a dolls head on it lol that’s too funny. You should totally leave it like that and then paint it proper again 🤗🤪

Another wonderful video. Thank you both. I think the hand and football pipes should go in the window this week. Until next week. 😊

I'm loving the jet buttons, not sure what you have planned but I was thinking of putting them in a frame to display.
Fantastic finds! Regards from Scotland 🏴
Those mourning buttons would be so pretty on a blouse! The mix of different buttons would make the shirt unique
I absolutely love the Jet buttons! Idk what it is about them but I really like them!! Infact how cute would it be to have a black jet button inlayed in sterling silver made into a necklace!! 🥰 well, there’s my order 😂🤗

I love the mourning buttons. They are such a poignant little window into the emotion of the past. They would look so lovely in a piece of jewelry, perhaps? Thanks for the ride-along to mudlarking!

Love the pipe bowl with the hand.❤️
I collect owl 🦉 figurines and just love the two owls that you have found. Love the two of you.

That lady headed chicken was a charming surprise. An elegant harpy if ever was one.
Microscope slides make lovely painted windchimes. Lovely owl. Nice pipes.

Loving the "birds head" on the headless chicken.🤣🤣 I laughed out loud. More of those creatures please.😂
I love the two new pipes. I was hoping y’all was going to break out the UV lights to see if there was any Niaga brothers beads or uranium beads and glass. Maybe y’all can do another search like y’all did over a year ago.
The big chunky metal piece can be used as a paintbrushholder...great findes...lovely to follow you out on your adventures😀👍🇸🇪

The hand pipe, what an absolute beauty. Love the little puddin doll legs 😂🦄. Please do put that head on the chicken, that was so fitting and so funny.
Dear Alex and Gail, again thank you for taking me out of my caretaker roll. I loved the owl, the brass star, and.all the little morning buttons. I can't wait to see what Alex makes with the star. As always, a perfect trip! CL
I think the owls mean that Alex is going to go to University and learn history and archeology. Great videos
The mourning buttons and S buckle are my choices for the window this week, though it was difficult to choose with so many wonderful items.

Great finds! Love what you did to the owl! I really miss round up and window selection. That’s for sharing a night lark. ✨
🙋♀️❤ what will you do with all of your marbles? A tabletop perhaps? Picture frames?
I like the star for the window.
Great finds ladies, some great pipes too. Take care and thank you for sharing your night lark 👍🙏❤️

Greetings from St. Catharines Ontario! I kept looking at the headless "chicken" you found. Those legs are awefully long! I think your chicken is an ostritch! The tail is also a give-away.
You really should get yourselves some putty and make molds of those buttons and then precious metal clay then make earrings.
The Chemists bottle and the jet buttons are my pick for the window.
