- Restarting the engine of the 1961 Volvo 210 Duet for the first time in a long time. Still not quite there but it shouldn't be long now.

That guy squirting the starting fluid has a real technique. Good hand /eye coordination. I think he's done that a few times before. That double SU set up on a 4 cylinder reminds me of my old Spitfire.
He sure has done it before.
Remove the rubber pipe and block off the nipple on the inlet manifold. The inlet on the oil filler cap is just that, an inlet for fresh air, normally from a spigot on the big blue Volvo air filters. The pipe as it is now is just killing the vacuum. This pipe would normally be used going across the valve cover to the spigot on the ventilation ear on the other side. There would be a valve fitted just above the side ear. This is all in the manuals.
At this point just solve you start problems by clamping off the hose or putting a big bolt in the end.
Looking forward to seeing it in the UK.
Thank you so much for this.
Will you be able to film it driving?
I was hoping to film it driving but it will probably not be ready before I have to leave the US unfortunately.
@@OldTimerGarage Disappointing for us both I'm sure. I have not seen one driving for around 60 years. A neighbor of ours when I was a child owned one, White over blue.
