Derek, this is better than any Vegas 101 class. You can pretty much tell a hotels/casinos attention to detail by how clean it is and how good the buffet is. As Shakespeare said, there is nothing quite so damning, as faint praise. Didn’t get the feeling you would be back for this one anytime soon, if ever.

It is free publicity for the buffets. It must be okay given the number of UA-cam channels there are that focus on reviewing buffets, restaurants, street vendors , etcetera.
Yes, since it is private property, they do dictate the rules but buffets in Las Vegas generally don't care about filming in my opinion. Filming in the casino room floor on the other hand isn't tolerated (except by the eye in the sky of course). The casino or establishment in the casino (like the buffet/restaurant) can't arrest you but they can ask you to leave and if you decide not to leave, they can call the police and then you will be arrested. The exact charge (barring anything illegal like stealing, vandalism, disturbing the peace, etc.) will be at a minimum trespassing. This is how they get card counters since card counting isn't illegal but they simply tell you that they don't want your action/play and ask you to leave the blackjack table.
Great video. Whoever designed this buffet decided that instead of a carving station they'd serve interesting foods. And it works. It's a very interesting buffet, one I'd actually look forward to going to. And what's with the Forbidden rice? You put the word "Forbidden" in front of any dish and it sounds exotic: Forbidden Cheese Tortellini. Oooo I'm scared.

I'm going to post something very positive, because I DO have problems with these vlogs. What he DOES show is very detailed descriptions of the food and the presentations of the dishes. He, ALSO, gives PRICES! I'm a food vlog follower, and that is a definite "YES" in my book of where to go for good value buffets and choices! So, KUDOS to you for that.

Food used to be loss leader in Vegas. Nothing cheap anymore. Cheap shrimp cocktails used to be a thing in Downtown Las Vegas. I love Treasure Island, but Mystere is a bit tired. I seen it 3 times.

Thank you for not mentioning that these are $30 plus buffets. I just lost my appetite. I am a veteran of the Rio hotel buffet of 1994 When price for a great buffet was only $7. Nowadays nobody cares what the price is as long they get stuffed like pigs.
Seems to me that the prices went up quite a bit. They used to have a nice pasta station where you could pick your pasta, sauce and meatballs and they would cook it up for you individually .
I prefer the videos where you actually try the food so we know how good it is.
