Ruinous, I give you two options. One, ignore Cathay at all costs. They are ruled by Dragons, and Imrik when confronted by multiple dragons might get a little... excited. The other, invade Cathay and either wipe out or vassalise all of the Northern Provinces and Western Provinces. Imrik has a Dragon problem, and he needs them under him. *Slaaneshi giggle*
Played this SFO campaign a lot. 2 pieces of advice: 1 kill all Skaven nearby they’re the only real threat. 2 incorporate gate guard into your armies as their aoe buff massively improves your archers
Looking forward to this one. Hopefully the donut isn't too much of a mess by the time you get there. 40:00 You lose a recruitment slot when you don't collect income.
It's funny, I since there's almost never a reason to untick taxation in vanilla (since public order and growth aren't an issue there), plus not generally recruiting in newly conquered territories (including in SFO) I've used the effect so rarely that I never noticed!
These series have been a blessing and a curse, both because there something comfortable to fall asleep too. And because some of the cinematic battles make it very very difficult to actually fall asleep.
I have to commend you on your battle camera work! Makes it soo much more interesting to watch rather then watching from 400 meters in the air and just watching red vs green outlines :) So Thank you!
Hey, Ruinous! I absolutely love Warhammer fantasy and Dark Souls. I figured that you could name the Sun Dragon Solaire! It would definitely bring a smile to my face whenever I see it.
Name for Units Spears: 'Imrik's Pointy Sticks' 'Poke a Mans' Dragons: 'Puff the Magic Dragon' 'Grigori' 'Scalie Bait' 'Imrik's Other Waifu' 'Someone's Fursona'
Once you have them unlocked Imrik needs his Fireborne in his army! A name I thought of for the current Dragon Princes is The Scaled Riders, who in my mind have the shed scales of dragons incorporated in their armor for protection :)
Can't wait for this awesome campaign Ruinous! Dragon Princes Name Idea: Destructive Dragoons (love alliterations!) Hopefully Imrik will bring fiery vengeance to all those who oppose the Asur! (And as spititual retribution to the hammering [Slaneeshi Giggle] the Elves faced in your Kislev Campaign lol)
The great grudge against the Elgi must be righted even if it means drowning in combat, that being said the dwarven comander will be put into the book for the loss of brave dwarves to Elgi and the water
Glory to the Drake Daddy. 🐲🐲 I like to name one of the Sun and Moon dragons being Antumbra the Solar and Penumbra the Lunar based on the different eclipse shadows.
I don't know if this works in SFO but in the vanilla game I discovered a dastardly play with Imrik in the opening turns. I wonder, RuinousInsight, what your thoughts are on my idea? Here it is: 1) On turn 1, defeat the Dwarfs with minimal damage and casualties (0 casualties from both battles is possible by the way), by attacking their army and then taking the Bone Gulch settlement. For your post-battle option, take gold and influence unless you are really badly beaten up. Sack and occupy, loot or occupy - depends on whether or not you want to make rebels spawn in Fortress of Vorag. Don't repair anything. Do whatever diplomacy you need without declaring war on Clan Carrion or Karak Azul. Recruit an Archmage of Life at the Bone Gulch and recruit 2 Rangers with Imrik. In Fortress of Vorag. it is advisable to build an Elven Court so you may acquire a Noble so that you can use their passive replenishment skill from being embedded in Imrik's army. Turn off your taxes if you don't want rebels and to grow your province as fast as possible. Research is up to you but I like the speed buff for your infantry for running down units better and at dodging shots/flanking and being less slow when tired. Sell any building in Bone Gulch. End your turn. 2) Turn 2, you will be met with the event that informs you that if you occupy, sack, loot or raze 6 settlements you will get the option to confederate Caledor on Ulthuan. Sell Bone Gulch to Clan Carrion. They will pay several thousand gold for it. Don't worry about trespassing - Karak Azul will like that. Move your Archmage to Imrik and transfer the new units to him. Recruit another lord in Fortress of Vorag and recruit 2 Rangers. I think a Prince is best because Spearmen struggle against massed infantry, Princes are very hard for tier 0 or tier 1 infantry to kill and it will allow your dragon to avoid being used as a front line unit, but a Princess is also a fine harassment option for taking out artillery instead of taking damage to your army from it. If you still need replenishment, Encamp stance for Imrik. If not, Lileath's Blessing for more magic reserves. Consider joining Drazoath's war against the Dark Land Orcs - he will give you money. Move your Archmage towards the border of Ash Ridge Mountains, so that she is just in range of the Dwarfs and she can retreat without dying. End turn. 3) The Dwarfs will attack your Archmage over the end turn. Retreat. This move stops them from recruiting because the AI is pathetically unable to attack and recruit in the same turn. They will go back to their mountain after attacking because the Archmage is out of range of a follow up attack. Declare war on Clan Carrion. This will not affect your diplomatic reliability. Attack and seize Bone Gulch. Do not autoresolve. You now have 1/6 settlements towards the confederation. Had you attacked the same turn as you sold the settlement, there would not have been a battle, which is bad because you want Imrik and his reinforcements to rank up. Sell the Militia building in Fortress of Vorag and recruit your Noble as soon as he is available. If the 0 influence traits are bad, recruit and disband until you get a trait that has no effect like -10% physical resistance. Don't worry about Clan Carrion - they will never attack you. Hire another lord in Fortress of Vorag and recruit to basic archers. Build the Militia building in Bone Gulch. Send your Archmage back to her former position to repeat last turn's trick. End turn. 4) Sell Bone Gulch to Karak Azul (they should give you over 11,000 for it) and do not do any deals with them because you will attack them next turn, and replenish/get winds from your stances. Repeat the Archmage's trick against the Dwarfs. Hopefully you can sell the Noble building and build either the growth building or the cavalry building so you can recruit some Ellyrian Reavers for chasing down fleeing units and harrassment. Don't worry about your gold per turn. End turn 5) Attack Bone Gulch on turn 5, this time keeping it for good and selling the Militia building and building up the dragon landmark (or growth building first if you want). By this point you will have a bunch of followers, banners and magic items, a load of experience on your lords and units and you will have earned in excess of 15000 gold from selling the settlement repeatedly and post-battle loot. Now, unless you have rebels to kill, move on to Ash Ridge Mountains to complete your province, planning next to attack the nearest Karak Azul settlement and selling it back to them to end the war.
Fairly certain it's Handmaidens which boost casualty replenishment for HE, at least it is in vanilla. SFO might change that but I doubt it. Loving the campaign so far!
He has a dragon and is an elf so that’s not surprising, where does the slaaneshi giggle come from? Mayhaps the dragons can smell/sense ambushes coming or something along those lines
Unit name suggestions (dragon princes): the fangs of Guarin (a unit that always worked together with the dragon Guarin, who later died trying to protect her elven friends. Now, the remains of Gaurin have been turned into the very spears that the group uses so that they can fight alongside the dragon, even after her death.) (Any dragon): Agor Sylura (Phoenix guard): Caledors Gravekeepers. (A squadron dedicated to protecting the bones of the dragons. Even other elves can face an early doom if they enter the dragons' graves without permission)
Eltharion might have been the better choice because you'll once again be fighting Grimgor in the Dark Lands just like the Kislev campaign and he might even end up hitting the exact same settlement depending on how north you expand, he could also hit a settlement in The Wolf Lands province by marching an army or two through The Plain of Zharr province.
You should have a army lord that is Caleor II and have him use a chump army of all the worst high elf units while fighting dwarfs, just to be extra in keeping with the lore. Bonus points if he's killed by Gotrek!
Armies suggestions: Fire Army: Flamespyre Phoenixes, Fire Archmage and Phoenix Guard; with Gordinar as its dragon Lion Army: War Lions of Chrace, Life Archmage, White Lion Chariots and White Lions Infantry; with Bruwor as its dragon Shadow Army: all Nagarythe-themed units, Shadow Archmage; with Shackolot as its dragon Snowstorm Army: Frostheart Phoenixes, Sisters of Avelorn, Heavens Archmage; with Lamoureux as its dragon High Magic Army: Arcane Phoenixes, Yvresse-themed units, High Magic Archmage; with Ymwrath as its dragon

Though its sad to see Kislev running out of engagement, it'd be still cool to see it posted in the main channel, I love the Kislev campaign so much!
Ruinous, I give you two options. One, ignore Cathay at all costs. They are ruled by Dragons, and Imrik when confronted by multiple dragons might get a little... excited. dragon dragon fragon dragon dragon dragon dragon
In local news High elves interrupt pool party pocal authorities have made a statement "This is a grudging"
All you Eragon fans go wild on this one: Saphira, the name of the protagonist's Dragon
Imrik's updated intro is amazing. He really is the best at the smug smik.
You've done the one thing I'd never thought possible Ruinous, you've gotten me excited for anything to do with Elves!
Lewd stuff doesn't count, right?
R-r-right?
Love when ruinous brings lore to The video is actually pretty interisting you should probably do more of It.
Ruinous you genuinely are my favorite youtuber right now, thank you for bringing countless hours of entertainment and joy to my days :) ROCK ONNNN
The worst part about Imriks down looking attitude is, that it is rightly deserved
*laughs in Lizardman*
That's cute.
My glorious king imrik rises again. Time for him to solo this campaign.
Sun dragon name- splendor
"Diplomacy! lets check you out. Anddd that was a horrible waste of time" actually made me laugh out loud xD keep up the good vidoes!
"All you dragons belongs to us" i see what you did there 😂
High elves action love it ❤ Killing Dawi must be satisfying since they drove the Asur from the Old world! Sweet Revenge
Played this SFO campaign a lot. 2 pieces of advice: 1 kill all Skaven nearby they’re the only real threat. 2 incorporate gate guard into your armies as their aoe buff massively improves your archers
Don't forget #3, the Lothern Sea Guard are worth it, both of them. They make an excellent mid or even front line.
Finally the fresh battle smell of a new campaign ..... Send in the dragons
Not a big high elf fan, but Imrik is the one I'd be down to try. Very excited for you to make me enjoy this faction as much as you have Kislev!
Looking forward to this one. Hopefully the donut isn't too much of a mess by the time you get there.

My work here is done.
I have to commend you on your battle camera work! Makes it soo much more interesting to watch rather then watching from 400 meters in the air and just watching red vs green outlines :) So Thank you!
Name for dragon princes. Royal Raiders. As you they seem to be often used running around the back ends of enemy armies
Imrik is my favorite Campaign. I'm so pumped for this one.
I already love the campaign, but oh man will it tear my heart seeing you clash with the dwarfs
Never seen an Imrik campaign before, looking forward to see you play. Love your content
Dragons, dragon prince's and elf arrows this campaign is going to be amazing
This will be a fun campaign. Imrik will rule the skies as he lights the ground alight in dragon fire!
super excited for the high elf campaign. Glory to the algorithm. Heres to extended episodes
Hey, Ruinous! I absolutely love Warhammer fantasy and Dark Souls. I figured that you could name the Sun Dragon Solaire! It would definitely bring a smile to my face whenever I see it.
8:12 yep that's a grudgin'
I haven't watched it yet, but I'm pre-liking and commenting so I can enjoy a 2+ hour watch session before work tomorrow
Very excited for this series, thanks Ruinous!!
I’ve been waiting for you to start this campaign
I was waiting for this! Love to see this play through! Have fun mr ruinous
Tariff memes intensify
Name for Units
Spears: 'Imrik's Pointy Sticks' 'Poke a Mans'
Dragons: 'Puff the Magic Dragon' 'Grigori' 'Scalie Bait' 'Imrik's Other Waifu' 'Someone's Fursona'
Awesome, I love Imrik! I (and Imrik) would be really happy if you allied with Miao Ying as soon as possible and kept her alive the whole campaign :D
Ruinous, you should check out the Victory conditions overhaul! Adds more on top of the SFO content!!
I am so excited for this playthrough!
Once you have them unlocked Imrik needs his Fireborne in his army! A name I thought of for the current Dragon Princes is The Scaled Riders, who in my mind have the shed scales of dragons incorporated in their armor for protection :)
Can't wait for this awesome campaign Ruinous!
Dragon Princes Name Idea: Destructive Dragoons (love alliterations!)
Hopefully Imrik will bring fiery vengeance to all those who oppose the Asur! (And as spititual retribution to the hammering [Slaneeshi Giggle] the Elves faced in your Kislev Campaign lol)
Beard Weaver is a hero ancillary for Handmaiden, Loremaster, Mage, and Noble.
Dude!! Hell the fuck yeah!!! Back at it again!!! The excitement!!
Best warhammer UA-camr
Ambush defense chance... well, yes who wants to ambush a bunch of dragons.
The great grudge against the Elgi must be righted even if it means drowning in combat, that being said the dwarven comander will be put into the book for the loss of brave dwarves to Elgi and the water
Wasn’t expecting this drop but let’s gooo
All your dragons are belong to us!!, Yes even the Cathyan one too!
Glory to the Drake Daddy. 🐲🐲
I like to name one of the Sun and Moon dragons being Antumbra the Solar and Penumbra the Lunar based on the different eclipse shadows.
40:10 Turning off tax in a province also lowers local recruitment capacity by 1. So it was 3 before you turned off the taxes ;)

name: the dragon Bob
Perfection.
Basically how to train your dragons for elves
I'd watch that movie.
Let’s go I’ve Ben looking for a high elf total war campaign to watch
35:10 The walls killing anyone who falls off May have been changed because it insta kills single entities if the walls get destroyed.
Love your stuff man.
Please go on as many lore rants as you want. I'm someone who gets all my warhammer lore from youtube and it's always interesting to listen.
I'm gonna confess, all my lore of WH comes from Ruinous
Fairly certain it's Handmaidens which boost casualty replenishment for HE, at least it is in vanilla. SFO might change that but I doubt it. Loving the campaign so far!
I really hope not it's not handmaidens! They're only accessible via tier 4 buildings, which with SFO's slow growth would be like turn 50+
@@RuinousInsight it could be Loremasters tbf. But I’m fairly certain it’s handmaidens in vanilla
He has a dragon and is an elf so that’s not surprising, where does the slaaneshi giggle come from? Mayhaps the dragons can smell/sense ambushes coming or something along those lines
A lot of high elf buildings get buffs at high control though
For a red Dragon- Thorn
This is an eragon reference
Great video
Keep it Up my guy
Can’t wait for high elves
Word cuz
Great new series!
All hail the algorithm 😊

Knifes ears, Yucky, let's see if you change my mind
Saving the lizardmen from kugath would be cool
man it would be great if the named dragons would be lords instead of units. that would have made imriks campaign so much more unique and interesting
Been looking forward to this!
New campaign hype!!
Man, I really didn't want another darklands campaign, but well, at least it's a high elves campaign
Good luck with Imrik, I always fall to chorfs or chaos lol
Eltharion might have been the better choice because you'll once again be fighting Grimgor in the Dark Lands just like the Kislev campaign and he might even end up hitting the exact same settlement depending on how north you expand, he could also hit a settlement in The Wolf Lands province by marching an army or two through The Plain of Zharr province.

All glory to the Algorithm!
Imrik ma boi
Armies suggestions:
Fire Army: Flamespyre Phoenixes, Fire Archmage and Phoenix Guard; with Gordinar as its dragon
Lion Army: War Lions of Chrace, Life Archmage, White Lion Chariots and White Lions Infantry; with Bruwor as its dragon
Shadow Army: all Nagarythe-themed units, Shadow Archmage; with Shackolot as its dragon
Snowstorm Army: Frostheart Phoenixes, Sisters of Avelorn, Heavens Archmage; with Lamoureux as its dragon
High Magic Army: Arcane Phoenixes, Yvresse-themed units, High Magic Archmage; with Ymwrath as its dragon
When you stop collecting income it reduces one of your recruitment slots that's why 3 -> 2. That's in vanilla too tho
I was waiting for that one
Man I love imrik lol
yayyy high elfs my fav lets go
For the machine spirits
Thanks for the vid, I fell asleep listening to this
OOCUPY THE DRAGON ISLES
Hmmm, Darkland Orcs..... Dorcs!
Imrik!
You should take the dragon isles from kugath for obvious reasons but it's also one of the most profitable provinces in the game
GLORY too thee algorithm.
Finally Imrik❤
New campaign woot!
Feel free to add all the lore bits you want. I enjoy them. Name Little Dragon Daddy (use as appropriate)
Make this his day Job
Go to the doughnut fast.
When you do not collect income in a province you lose 1 recruitment slot.
34:34 immersion ruin lol
Super Hype. For the algo!
It should be easy to send somebody to find Teclis
Ruinous whatever you do keep Imrik away from Cathay. Specifically the Northern Provinces. He's got a dragon problem.
It's not a problem! He can stop whenever he wants!
Nice battles !! Unfortunately I'm late to the party, can't find much time between work and elden ring.
