Couldnt they just cover it with more surrounding sand??? Thats the most potential of starving the ignition reaction.
Well the downside to stopping the burning is pure methane will still be released, they need a way to top the gas from venting out after stopping the fire
If that's not a sign to move away from the energy sources we've been using then what is?
with everyone moving to electric cars, we need these energy sources now more than ever ironically
@@_jp_0966 look at what all the drilling has done.
@@_jp_0966sadly, electric cara have their whole range of issues, going from lithium extraction to the battery "recycling" process.
67% of all electricity produced in the U.S. is made by burning fossil fuels. Liberals mandate electric cars while knowing they can't power them.
Saying this should be a sign of moving away from this energy source on a video where its burned for 50 years straight is questionable
Co2 levels have fallen from 7000 ppm to today's 420 ppm in the last 65 million years and when we reach 150 ppm co2 then all life on earth is gone.
"...releasing methane into the atmosphere"
Ahh yes, the methane that is burned right then and there to CO2 and water i assume is released into the atmosphere 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Combusting it is basically the lesser of two evils
Lol. Natural gas is very clean burning. Such a stupid thing to imply that this crater is responsible for emissions from Turkmenistan.
@@reggin8112 you didn't even read what i wrote...
I even said into which 2 components it combusts and you want to tell me something about clean burning 😅
"I dont understand climate but climate change!"
I love how randomly the US asks another country to help them. Western intervention is a big no no.
They need Daniel Plainview.
Flood it with c02?
You mean CO2? Carbon oxide?
Allah hu Akbar
I love how this quickly turned into far left propaganda.
Tell that to vegans
"according to the guardian" I'm out goodbye
