    I hadn't used a pillow for years...until now. I decided it's time I needed one for better sleep on the trail. After some searching, this is the one.
    This pillow is ultralight, ultra-comfortable, and a favorite in the backpacking community. Here are my thoughts on the Nemo Fillo Elite.

    My whole life I never had a pillow, just did the old stuff the stuff sack thing, until my wife got me one for Christmas last year, the Klymit . I made a fleece pillow case for it, ,and that made all the difference. That said, your Nemo looks quite nice. That is a nice pillow. And I agree with you, a pillow is now an essential item for me as well. Nice review

    I've had the (now discontinued) Nemo Fillo Luxury for 2 years and love it for side-sleeping. 14 oz at $38 but worth it. I am willing to cut weight just about anywhere else to have this quality of sleep. Nemo seems to have figured something (good) out about pillows!

      Some people still don't like those inflatables (like Dan Becker LOL), but this one does it for me!

    Nice review Lance. I still have not found the perfect pillow. The perfect pillow is the most difficult peace of gear to find. Take Care and Happy Holidays.

      Thanks, my friend. Yeah, it's definitely a matter of preference, and I resisted it for a long time. I'm happy with this one, though.

    Watching various fillo reviews has me thinking I should take my big sky pillow, wrap it in a neck gaitor and then stuff in-between pillow and case, a 12x8 inch piece of foam pad (1/8 gossamer gear foam pad)

    • @OutLan
      @OutLan  Рік тому

      That's a great option. My only wish was this thing was bigger, like my pillow at home.
      Thanks for watching!

    I've wanted to check that one out. Looks pretty sweet bud! I agree that the valve is a little sketchy. Sea to Summit has a valve like Klymit I think but they aren't that comfy. Why can't we have it all??! 🤣

      Agreed! With currently technology things should be perfect. LOL!

      I had the S2S, actually two of them, and also loved the valve. I went with the much cheaper Trekology with a great valve and both larger and more comfortable than the S2S. The Nemo looks awesome, but $15 versus $45 doesn’t make sense for me. Understand why Outlan went for it though!

    • @OutLan
      @OutLan  2 роки тому

      @@gboltonatrail1099 I looked at the Trekology. I might get one of those also as a backup.

    • @gboltonatrail1099
      @gboltonatrail1099 2 роки тому +1

      @@OutLan The one great thing about the Trekology is a strap to attach it to a pad to avoid slippage. I also loop a cord through the strap to keep it in place in the hammock, like you mention for the Nemo. That way it doesn’t fall out and risk being peed on! 😂

      @@OutLan You should listen. You said to dislike your video if someone had a critique.
      I just watched a couple other reviews on this Nemo pillow. What I noticed is that you go on and on.
      It’s not about you it’s about the product. Learn to edit your words, think of your audience, and *be concise*.
      And try all the features before you opine about them. Don’t show your face so much, show the product.
      Be open to good criticism. It’ll help your channel.
      It’s definitely the best pillow.

      @@amvet_gwot1969 You know, more people hit that “never show me videos from this content creator again” button from an unpleasant community than they do for the creator themselves, which teaches the algorithm that this creator isn’t worth pushing. If you want to help this guy, and his 1/10 of the views that any other video on this product has, my suggestion isn’t to act like this.

      @@OutLan naw dude. I know how it works. You made a hack shitty review that did not even show the product until 4 minutes in. Check out “the outdoor gear review” to see a good example of how to do a product review with integrity and real info. After watching your review I don’t even believe that you’ve actually used this product. You just trying to quit your day job and be a UA-camr

      I've actually been doing UA-cam a VERY long time. Longer than many, MANY "hiking" UA-camrs out there today.
      Sorry you didn't like my format or my review. Hopefully watching it didn't ruin UA-cam for you for life. Have a great day.
