Pat Lipksy's Color World

Color World, Pat Lipsky's solo exhibition at Eric Firestone Gallery (New York), focuses on the artist's Wave paintings, including recently rediscovered work from 1969-1975 alongside new paintings from 2023.
Born in 1941 in New York, Pat Lipsky became associated with the Lyrical Abstraction movement in the late 1960s and ‘70s. Throughout her five-decade practice, Lipsky has remained dedicated to the primacy of color and abstraction to the medium of painting. Lipsky currently teaches abstract painting at the Art Students League.

I really enjoyed this video. I related so well with the frustration of adjusting to changes the equipment and nobody ever talks about it. Also, not making it too personal.

I made a detour into NYC last month to see this exhibit. Incredibly beautiful work. Very moving.
