From one 67 gto owner to another,,,,thank you for taking us on power tour!! Enjoyed your adventure. Been following since day 1 of your goat resurrection. Keep up the awesomeness
Congrats on finishing Power Tour 2023. That's a huge accomplishment, and you had a remarkably trouble-free journey. I've enjoyed watching your videos, especially since I have a '66 GTO that I've owned since the '90s and I'm finishing up a restoration this summer. I really want to do some road trips in it similar to Power Tour when it's done.
Thanks so much! Yeah I am kind of surprised too considering how much the car sat and how little we did to the engine. Congrats on finishing your GTO soon, get out there and drive it.
Just finished the series. You did as good of a job documenting the trip as any of the UA-camrs I've watched. Thanks so much! Hopefully I'll see you on the tour this year, I'll introduce myself if I do, my Torino should be ready by spring!
What an awesome care museum! I would be in so much trouble seeing those cars are for sale! Fellow UA-cam guys photo bomb alert! Great videos all trip long! Thanks!
Hey Kerry that, high speed footage reminds me if the old movie where they would speed up the camera to make it cooler, it works! Thanks for taking us along!😅
Your welcome. Yeah the old silent moves had crank cameras and the director would tell the camera operator to just crank faster. All those old buster keaton and keystone cops movies were gone that way - in camera. After the invention of the automatic camera they did it a variety of ways, from in camera to final editing. Now a days with digital you just move a slider and it goes twice as fast with the frame rate.
You are really good at presenting your knowledge of the cars. I enjoyed you going through classic cars for sale. It’s like you were selling them yourself
Awesome job, glad you had minimal problems on this epic adventure. Hopefully get my 67 down there for next years tour. Thanks for the excellent ride along fun, great watching you all trek to the different stops and everything in between!
Yea we were very lucky to have few problems with an untested and minimally prepped car that sat for so long. Get your 1967 and do it, no time like the present.
@@MechanicalAdvantageGarage We'll look you up before next years tour so we may cross paths. In the meantime keep rocking the videos, both of you did an outstanding job, thanks!
HRPT usually starts in the last place the previous year’s ended - so it most likely will start at Bristol next year. It’s a great time, get your 67 going and come on the tour
Subscribed. What Jeep stuff do you do? I am the original owner of a 1995 YJ, 4.0L, 5speed, tow package car, and I have owned XJ, SJ, and CJs in the past.
Glad to see U made the run with good cooling ,,And no major Problems ,,I have a 72 Gravnville Conv w/455 n auto ,,thats a nice cruiser & currently putting on new timing case due to some crax leaking water
Not sure what your question is but I’ll try to answer it. Talking to other UA-camrs I can tell you that connectivity for uploads was difficult this year because of the venues. My 4th day video I started uploading on the 5th day and it took from 8:00am to 4pm to actually get it loaded into UA-cam (not counting any editing). So a few ‘tubers elected to wait till they got home to edit and update. As for last day events by HRPT - I dunno, last day always feels like a push for people to get in and get out. We took a side quest that caused us to arrive at 4, one hour before the venue closed and we missed the raffle, the prize give aways, and such. There were no laps at Bristol offered which I was disappointed about since I missed that in 2019 and was looking forward to another chance at that. I do know a few other UA-camrs arrived late, junkyard digs came in right behind us, so… Hopefully this answers your question, if not, reply and I’ll respond some more.
Both cars are running a 15” wheel. The 1967 GTO has 15x7 front and 15x8 rear factory Pontiac wheels. They came off Austin’s 1970 lemans. Tires are 245 front, 275 rear. The AMX has a set of slotted five spoke mags of unknown origin (might be ansen sprint mags) and backspacing.
Had slight rubbing in the rear with the stock fender lip so we rolled it slightly with a baseball bat. Only needed like 1/4” clearance. I have an earlier video where we put the tires on the car.
You find those kind of people are replace she probably looked at you all has a bunch of Rich guys and all their classic cars and she had to go to work I know that y'all are not rich but that's probably what the girl the her little mind and getting mad about I'm sure her boss wouldn't have wanted her to say anything to you all you know y'all there spent a lot of money at that service station my grandpa told me this a long time ago you can make some of the people happy some of the time but you cannot make all the people happy all the time

That 1951 ( and other years) Chevrolet body style was called Fleetline. !953 was the first year for original equipment turn signals for Chevrolet.
Great info! Thanks

Sped up that engine sounds like an old Nascar!
Yeah it made it kind of fun
What wheels do you have? Those 17?

@@MechanicalAdvantageGarage OK OEM from the later pontiacs. no rubbing in the rear with all that meat?

I don’t think anybody seeing the AMX or my rusty GTO would mistake us for rich folks 🤣 maybe Kevin from junkyard fish with that nice cutlass 🤣.
