Avoids youtube ads, watches 30 minutes of 90's ads.
🤣🤣🤣it’s a difference though
I just keep coming back to commercial collections from the era I was a child. These were part of the soundscape of growing up, things I barely acknowledged when they were new; sometimes, in fact, I resented them. They were the interruption to whatever I was trying to watch. They were the brief two-minute intermission that gave me time to hurry to the bathroom, or the kitchen, before scrambling back in front of the television to be amused and entertained. I feel stuck. I feel like one foot is here in the present and the other is dragged down by the weight of the past, and glancing back at it like this reminds me of how good things used to be.
It's unhealthy. And I should stop. But hearing these advertisements--if I shut my eyes, I can pretend I'm home again.
2:46 pre-Jackass Johnny Knoxville
In interviews he talked about doing commercials and other low budget acting gigs in LA before MTV picked up jackass. Pretty cool to see this!
EVERYTHING was literally different before 9/11.... everything was happier and.... idk... if you're over 30 you probably know what i mean.
Taco Bell dog was one of the greatest ad campaigns ever.
ua-cam.com/video/TguXnZGmCfU/v-deo.html
I remember buying the stuffed talking dogs at Taco bell 😁 it was such a great treat for us cause our little town in Iowa didn't even have a TB so we had it very far and between.
@the_bearded_schlub WTF...dude ad executives fall hard, I did not know that.
@the_bearded_schlub what... Lol ok that a very precise assumption, see how misinformation gets spread..Im reporting you. 😁
@the_bearded_schlub well ya I was lookong forward to enlightening everyone I knew on what happend to the Man behind the taco bell dog. Now what do I have to offer the conversation 😒
Anyone else spot Johnny Knoxville in the Bud Ice commercial?
yeah that's weird. he was clearly an actor they threw into jackass. unlike steve o
Saw it too
I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought it was him.
I can't wait for that *dirty hotdog report* on channel three, oh boy!
How randomly i found this video. Ugh!! My middle and high school years. Back when the world wasn't so messed and it was easier, damn i miss the 90s!
That Pentium ad was the best, in that time the internet was truly wild and you discovered something different everyday
Happy to see Johnny Knoxville in the ice bud comercial 2:45
Was looking to see if anyone else caught that lolz
Forget the couch, Lays lady... Eating O'lean you're gonna need a toilet up that tree
Warning: May cause “anal leakage”.
🤮
i miss the fat free lays! the only way anyone was getting into trouble is if they ate like 2 big bags to the face.
The leaky butt chips!!!!
A true LMAO!
One time when I was about 6 or 7 my friend and I went swimming in our kiddie pool and after we went inside and she ate mad WOW chips at my house and she shit her bathing suit as we were walking back to her house and her mom literally hosed her off in the backyard
Watching this for the last half hr, just made me feel I was a senior in HS again with no worries of today’s world..it was amazing..Thank you!
@dev null I’m 39..lol
I know what you mean I graduated HS in 97. Good times
agree. I was class of '98
dang. in high school we wished the commercials would hurry up and be over, now here we are watching a half hour of nothing but commercials.
Numbnuts: "sHe diD tHe rACist gEsTUrE"
Normal people: "It's called an OKAY gesture, you weak fools!"
The "That 70's Show" series premiere commercial was trippy...watching these old commercials, Fox didnt have many successful shows back in the late 90's, but that was certainly a mega-hit.
What is even more trippy is that if you were to make a retro tv show about the past today it would be That 90's show.
@@epicboxmaster4981 you're right...we are farther away from the 90s now than the show was away from the 70s when it originally aired. Time is strange and fleeting...
With the exception of Ally McBeal, it made the Monday 9-10PM timeslot a powerhouse for FOX instantly crushing any show that NBC and The WB would put against it.
90's Gillian Anderson is the best Gillian Anderson. Also, any Gillian Anderson is the best Gillian Anderson.
Have you seen that 90’s pic of her in a leather catsuit?
@@garthbrooks6999 that was HOT😻
I didn't know the iMac had a DVD player.
Truer words never spoke.
I agree. She is a hottie
Man the bud ice penguin, the crystal method soundtrack on the Mazda miata commercial, I remember all of these from when I was in highschool. Was a great time to be a teenager.
Better than any show on TV today, hell better than any commercials shown today also Lol
God Bless you and your work!! You've been continually giving me glimpses of my nostalgic past! This is something I never knew I needed but really appreciate. THANK YOU!!!
You're welcome, I'm glad you enjoy them!
Who else is binging on these commercials from a less chaotic time?
99¢ Gorditas from Taco Bell… darn… now they don’t make them anymore
Same with the Mexican Pizza….
This timeline sucks Doc I wanna go back…
Looks like it was replaced by the chalupa
They do. But a cheesy Gordia crunch is 4.50
90s were really amazing..together with the mid 80s leading into the early 90s....its not nostalgia..its fact. The 80s really were magnificent..leading into the apex of pop culture around the mid 90s. Sitcoms..music..movies..americana..windows 95..gaming..steroid baseball..nba..sport in general..atlanta olympics..sydney olympics...it was untouchable. By the time the early 000s ended..music went to shit..sitcoms died...social media began...and it all ended abruptly.
Wow, that's exactly how I feel. But you left out the emergence of the WorldWideWeb in the late 90s.. People were creating web sites, connecting and posting on message boards. plus email and instant messaging. MySpace came along and that seemed pretty cool. But here come Smart Phones and *ugh* social media. From there it felt like everything was spiraling into the drain.
That's why watching great videos from those times keeps my sanity and gives me hope.
90s Walmart commercials are wholesome.
Swear to God I started to cry when I heard them say the premier of That 70s Show.
Made me feel old asf lol
@Foofy Foofer I'm 31 so I'm definitely close to you
Let's hold hands and cry together 🥺 I wish I could go back to the 90s
If you told me 25 years ago I will be watching these commercials for fun, I would have called you a fibber then cried until my mom made the stranger go away
If you told me some guy would be posting the same comment over and over again on every video, I'd believe it.
"Ally McBeal: Maneater." I think we would have settled for "Ally McBeal: Sandwich Eater." :D
Feels so strange watching videos like these I like it though as I feel strangely happy
Yea because its reminding you of much simpler times. Which is why I appreciate these uploads
It sure doesn't seem that 1998 to 1999 was over ten years ago
Nope it was over 40 years ago
Remember poop chips? I do!
"anal leakage" chips, to be precise (can you tell i immediately came down to comment on the exact same thing)
Amazing to see a Walmart ad that actually features a Walmart employee talking about enjoying her job, versus the new ads that only feature actors and never show the inside of a Walmart or any employees
20 years later and Jeff freakin Goldblum is still doing voice overs in commercials lol
'98, another year which is in my 'wheelhouse' in the sense that some things which would have an impact still felt to this day were set in motion. I still have a few 'artifacts' from that era (wallet, leather coat, dress shoes; leather lasts!) that are touchstones from the late-'90s. Good years with some bittersweetness thrown in.
I'm pretty sure I got a THEWB network poster as old as dirt now lol. I miss the 90s man
@@UrbanNoizeMusic I miss 'em too. I realize that when I see these commercial compilations.
I miss the late 90s
It's odd watching these commercials, seeing how old they look today. It's equivalent to watching 70's commercials in the 90's. I recall the 90's well, given I was 20.
I have these types of videos on playlist & in downloads, and just have playing them at work.
I absolutely forgot about the craze that was Olestra and Olean potato chips. What a moment of rediscovery.
I’m gonna tell my grandkids that this is how long our commercial breaks lasted in the 90’s
Omg I remember Olean it made my ass leak Everytime I would eat those chips
I learned quickly why Lay's called those chips WOW! that were made with olestra... I ate like half a bag of those when I was in middle school and spent the rest of the night on the toilet. Wow indeed.
I keep thinking...ok, this is the last one before the show starts.
I was a page on Holding the Baby. Only 7 episodes aired out of 13 that were filmed . I only worked the seven episodes then I was sent to Unhappily Ever After. I miss the 90s
Is that Johnny Knoxville in the Bud ice commercial?
Who else here smokes while watching these? Ahh man 98 was a heck of a year
1:04 - OMG, we used to play this in band, between us Tuba players, when in class or at games; never at marches.
Miss the old KFC especially the potato wedges the fries just don't cut it
Their potato wedges were great. A local convenience store, Wawa in southeastern Pennsylvania, featured potato wedges too for a decade or so until 2006. _Those_ were just as good as KFC's treats.
@@TralfazConstruction In the south dodge's chicken has great potato wedges
@@ZachArmstrong02 I've made a mental note of that, Zach. Should the circumstance arise I'd hope to try those on your recommendation. Thank you.
@@TralfazConstruction no prob another suggestion is Royal farms there chicken and wedges be good as well
@@ZachArmstrong02 Thank you. There are a couple of those in the area. I mentioned to my fiancée that we may just take a meandering ride to sample some culinary treats from our favorite take-out spots. I'm going to mention Royal Farms. If we actually get to do this I'll get back to you with our impressions. Happy 4th of July!
What's a mind-melter? When you get in deep with the old ads and UA-cam suddenly throws a modern commercial in there!!
I need more Scully in my life
A spectacled Johnny Knoxville in that Bud Ice ad.
I skipped UA-cam's adds to watch adds.
Anybody got a full copy of that Inside Edition investigation into dirty hot dogs?
Wow the communist Taco Bell ad was incredible
19:59 witness the most stereotypical collection of late-90s news teasers ever
2:46 I didn’t know Johnny Knoxville did commercials. 🤔
Mercury cars…haven’t thought about those in, well, 20 years
3rd Rock From the Sun was an amazingly funny show.
2:51 Johnny Knoxvillle??
thank you Rob Lowe!
The mom and daughter that ate the olean chips spent the rest of the day and night on the toilet.
I remember the premiere of that 70s show I watched it for years!
Pretty sure that's Ashley Tisdale in the McCormick commercial
Didn’t see that McCormick commercial
@@kevinking2556 oh ok it's about halfway through
⚠️🚫$160 a month to lease a car????
Soooo expensive for 1998!!!!!🚫⚠️
I pay 190 a month right now!!!
its funny seeing these shows ive never heard of
2:46 Johnny Knoxville
14:39 That 70s Show debut... 😪
Johnny Knoxville in the bud Ice commercial
Who wouldn't forget the Taco bell dog and how short lived . Let's not forget the talking stuff dogs they used to sell.
When that Dog cried at the 99 cent Gorditas I felt the pain. Only thing I can get for 99 cents now is a cheese and bean burrito and it's tiny. Lol Intel actually had to advertise back then.
1:01 1998 100 Years Philippine Centennial Celebration The Late of Former President Fidel V Ramos
Uhh yeah that Olean worked out very well😃😃😃
Great place
Pretty sure that's Jane Lynch at 12:00 in the Buick LeSabre commercial
Johnny Knoxville in the bud ice commercial?
@2:16....the crystal method
2:46 - is that Johnny Knoxville? :D
Do you have any commercials during 90210?
Probably not. I never watched it and I don't think anyone in my family did either. I do have 90210 promos in several of the 90s videos posted though
@@arwuns I’ll check them out thank u so much :)
Was that Johnny Knoxville
I was wondering why are there so many ads.. lmao
Watching a video full of commercials and I get bothered by the ad.
Johnny Knoxville in a beer commercial?
Lol Jonny Knoxville 2:46
28:45.
9:49
I need taco bell right now!!
Retitle these to tell people they're US adverts.
@2:46 Johnny Knoxville.
Johnny Knoxville from jackass @ 2:46
How did I survive in 4:3?
Oh the WOW! diarrhea chips! Almost forgot about them completely.
6:29look a young Marshall from how I met your mom
Jane Lynch in the LeSabre commercial
Seaman’s
2:47 . Is that a pre-Jackass era Johnny Knoxville?
tom hamilton doing a taco bell commercial... oh man.
18:12 I hope Kathy got the job :(
Why do the new car ads back then seem like they’re advertising old cars. 😂 those cars/suvs were not cute😂
I don't want to be a ghost. I I want to be with Catie!
Let's bring back the fat free Lays. I don't care if they give me diarrhea. In fact I'd love if I could eat a bag of chips AND shit out everything else I ate that day before my body has time to absorb the calories.
Gorditas Gorditas
Gorditas Gorditas Gorditas

what's up with the audio quality ?
Vhs recording? Just a guess
@@jakes.8600 I’ve done heaps of VHS conversions. Never sounded like this.
